A few things about this location: 1. I saw ahead of time that this location had low reviews, particularly related to the staff and their customer service. Personally, the guy who helped us was busy and quick with taking our order, but was friendly enough to get the job done 2. Their pizza hut portion of the restaurant was very limited, just a personal pan pizza and bread sticks. I ordered the bread sticks cause I love them, grew up eating them, but unfortunately there was only 3 instead of the usual 5, the price went up ($4 for 3) and they either changed the recipe or it's just this location, but it was not made the same way as usual. However, they did include 2 marinara sauce cups for each set of bread sticks instead of the usual 1, so I appreciated that! Overall, the specifics I had made to my taco bell order was correct and accurate, it didn't take too long to come out, but the pizza hut portion of the restaurant left something to be desired :( read more

The tables were filthy, and the service was painfully slow--it took 35 minutes for what is supposed to be fast food, which is unacceptable. Even worse, I personally witnessed the cook take out his phone while wearing gloves, make eye contact with me, text on it, put it back in his pocket, and then continue preparing food with the same contaminated gloves. This location is far from terrible. The luxe box I got with black beans and a bean and cheese burrito was very solid and flavorful, and also reasonable for just $8.67 total. The happy hour $1 medium drinks are also a nice touch and a good way to save. I will dock points for the slow service though, as it took nearly 20 minutes for my food to come out. read more

They almost gave a family member who has an allergy to sour cream and allergic reaction because they put sour cream in the crunchwrap I got. They did this twice and one of the employees tried arguing with me that if said order said no sour cream, that there would be no sour cream. Twice now they have done this. This Taco Bell has kiosks where you must place your order. You can pay with a card at the kiosk, but if paying cash, you must pay at the counter. The interior has been updated with cool globe lights and nice looking tables and chairs. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time and it was typical Taco Bell food. I heard a female employee scream "STOP" very loudly. Lots of playing around between the employees which was a bit uncomfortable for the guests inside. Would love to give this sh#thole less than 1 star if I could. I'd been inside the store itself a few years back and it'd been absolutely just DISGUSTING!!! Food on the floor, ants and insect all around, the bathroom if you have to visit is foul and unsanitary. SO this is where people go to get food to eat, right?? I haven't been to this location in several years since having seen the state of the place - but recently thought we'd stop and I went through the drive through a few weeks ago. It was pouring rain and the drive thru seemed the best option - BAD, BAD idea!! There where - count them and I'm NOT kidding at all - 3 cars in front of me and it literally took nearly 40 minutes to get through the process. If I could have I would have bailed on the line and left 10-15 minutes in but there's no lane out of the drive thru at this sh#thole so they have you stuck there!! Finally, exactly 40 minutes after ordering, as the 4th car in line I get the bag and I go home. 1 of the only 4 items on the order is missing and there's zero hot sauces. They asked what sauces we wanted, they have our choices on the receipt but never put a thing in the bag. On TOP of this (as if it wasn't enough) I felt horribly SICK afterward, not usual "Taco Bell belly ache" this was most likely FOOD POISONING! I wouldn't doubt it considering the condition of the store years before that I'd made mention to them but they clearly don't care about that, the health of the customer, the actual horrible customer service at the location. I'd contacted the company on-line and called their # and have gotten the run around 3-4 times now - for an $18 order. So clearly their absoultely horrible customer service doesn't stop at the location but it's prevelent throughout the company. For our family, we'll absolutely NEVER go to this Pleasant Valley Road location in Manchester, CT ever, ever again!! This is an absolutely disgusting location and I sincerely hope the health inspector closes this location down!! How do I start this type of review. I always try to give positive outlooks in establishments but by gosh. How can you mess up fast food tacos? 1st: they did away with a person to greet you any take your order. These keyosks are going to be the down fall of places. So impersonal. Once we figured out the system for it is one the worst ones I have seen or used. 2nd: fast food does not mean you wait for 20+ minutes to get your food. While we were waiting in the area that filled up very fast due to the size from all the online/app orders we noticed that the staff was not very attentive to what was going on. Several customers were getting frustrated and even started to demand answers. One person placed her order in the app and after and hour she walked out. Another gentleman demanded his money back. As taco bell introduced the new crispy chicken taco, I went to get one on a saturday evening. The drive through had a long line of cars. I went for a Spicy crispy chicken taco, which was good. Popeyes chicken sandwich is better though. I am trying the cheesy fiesta potato for the first time, and it was really good. Cheesy gordita was fine. I ordered a chalupa supreme. I was billed for that, but it was missing in my take out order. I saw it after reaching home, so decided to forget about it. I went to this location's drive-thru on the evening of Sunday, December 6th, 2020, and received the worst customer service in my life. On a big sign on this location's drive-thru menu, it said FEATURED: GRILLED CHEESE BURRITO. I thought that sounded great so I decided to order it. The woman who took my order said "they don't serve that here, I have no idea what you're talking about." So, I proceeded to read her the menu which said "FEATURED ITEM" and she finally got it after I read it to her about 3 times. I then ordered a cheesy bean and rice burrito, beef chalupa, two soft tacos, and a medium Pepsi, which she also had trouble understanding. I figured she might have not been able to hear me through the intercom but when I read my screen everything was correct so I pulled forward after confirming with her that my screen was my correct order. When I pulled forward she handed me my Pepsi, swiped my card, handed it back to me, and closed the window. She then proceeded to stand in the corner with her arms crossed watching other people work for 15 minutes! Not once did she apologize for the wait or come up to me. There was then a customer acting belligerent, beeping her horn at me, yelling racial slurs, and then even got out of her car and approached the window which can all be seen on video! The woman who took my order stuck her head out and said "whose beeping like that?", giving me an attitude as if it was me and I said the woman behind me! Who was still outside of her car, putting me at risk as she wasn't wearing a mask and screaming at the top of her lungs. After 15 minutes of being yelled at, insulted, and put at risk with absolutely NO employee nor manager intervening, I was handed my food. Which was NONE of the food I ordered. Hmmm. The second star is because this is a combination taco bell pizza hut so you can get breadsticks and individual cheese or pepperoni pizzas. Otherwise this would be a one start review. Been here quite a few times but my most recent visit was the catalyst for this review... I ordered breadsticks and tacos. The breadsticks were delicious as expected however they initially forgot to put them on the tray. The tacos were wrong but there was too much chaos at the counter so it wasn't worth getting fixed. The mountain dew was messed up and didn't taste right. The drive through was so slow that the cars in the line blocked parked cars that were trying to leave. The inside line was up and down while I was there but service was continually interrupted by an ex-employee who seemed to have been fired the day before. The receipt printer jammed and the cashier got the manager to reprint it since he didn't know. I pulled up to the window to order and when I went to order the lady told me to "speak up" so I spoke louder and she said "okay if your gonna scream you can leave" I didn't even scream. Clean, friendly, great overall service. Loved the new breakfast. The steak crunch wrap was great and the bacon is smokey with alot of flavor you wouldnt expect from fast food. That being said, its still greasy fast food that just doesnt make me want to come back unless I have to. Also $1.99 for the waffle taco was def overpriced... It looked nothing like was advertised. Sausage didnt fill the waffle and they barely put egg on it. This would be a 2 star if it wasnt for Wayne working the counter. So I normally don't post reviews, at all. But this experience was REALLY bad, so I had to make an account. Do not eat at this location, there are so many other better alternatives that you can go to. At first when we ordered, there was nothing special, the usual order on the pad, but apparently when we ordered 2 tacos we got a third, don't know what happened there. The seating wasn't spectacular, it was quite unsanitary to be honest, the table was sticky, it didn't really look clean at all. We had to wait around 20-25 minutes for the food, honestly, I'm very disappointed in that amount of time for Taco Bell food, what's the point of "fast food" if it isn't fast at all? The taco wasn't anything special, it was a pretty ok taco, the burrito felt spongy and soggy to the mouth,not a great burrito feeling. These guys always screw up my order. Nothing is labeled properly so unless you sit there and go through each and every thing in the bag you won't know until you get home and find things are missing.
