Door Dashers Beware Sorry this is long but I make a very good point in the end. I am a door dasher when I pulled up to the drive thru I was told to go to a door dasher window. Now I have been to this McDonald's many times to pick up orders through the drive thru and they have NEVER told me to go to a window. Confused I just pulled up still behind a white car it's takes about 10 min. to do the payment. I pulled up a little passed the first window when someone called out. She asked if I was door dash I said yes she said that I had to go to a door dash window I told her I had no idea what that was and since I've already there for almost 25 min. if I could get the food she asked for the last 3 of the order number and she told me they haven't even started on that order yet. Apparently the white car had 4 mobile orders. Instead of making the car pull up so they could get everyone else done they sat there for almost another 15 min. When I finally reached the pick up window a guy told me that they can't hand out the order I have to go to the other window I told him that I've already been in this line long enough and I'm tired can I just get the food he said no. Already long story short he complained about being tired too and sick and how he only got a few hours of sleep. I didn't care I just wanted to get the food and go. I asked for the food one more time. He said no I told him wouldn't leave till he gave me the food he said he wasn't going to break federal law by giving me the food through the drive thru closed the window and locked it. Now in order to get to this window you have to get out go up to the window tell them ur order number then wait for them to get it for you while you wait OUTSIDE. When this happened it was 35 degrees at night. If I had done what they wanted I would have waited almost 40 min. in 35 degrees weather in the dead of night with barely any light and more then likely no camaras waiting on food that I couldn't even eat. read more

I have to say, the southwest salad that I got from here was very very old. There were black spots all over the vegetables and I could only eat the grilled chicken in the salad which defeats the purpose of eating salad in the first place right?? Just like every other McDonalds you've been to, except FAR WORSE!! No doubt this is the worst McDonalds I've ever been to. This isn't based on one or two visits either, but 50+ visits over the last several years. One of the worst parts of this McD's is normally one of my favorite parts: the fries. I love McD's fries. Whenever I'm with someone at McDonalds, and I don't plan on getting anything, by the time they order, I've decided to at least get some fries. In other words, I'm always in the mood for McDonalds fries. Yet, this is the only franchise I've been to that consistently RUINS the fries. Many times at this particular McDonalds, the fries just don't good taste at all. Then, if you make the mistake to leave them alone for a minute or two and they cool? They are somehow even worse! It's hard for me to pinpoint though, what exactly is wrong with the taste, other than being terrible. Why have I continued to get the fries here if they're that terrible? Because it's so ingrained into me that McDonalds fries = delicious, that often I forget how bad THIS PARTICULAR location's fries are, until it's too late and I'm already eating them. There could also be a part of me that holds out hope that someday, this McDonalds will figure out what EVERY OTHER McDonalds franchise seems to already know, which is how to make delicious french fries. After several years though, I think the last little bit of that hope is finally dying away... Other annoyances include charging extra for sauces. While I have seen some other McDonalds do that, this location also charges you for water. WATER. How ridiculous is that? At least some other fast food restaurants give a small, clear plastic cup for free. On top of that, the two best things this McDonalds had going for it were two sandwiches I liked: the jalapeño double, and the buffalo mcchicken. I was told tonight that they stopped serving both those sandwiches... Which now gives me even less reason to like this place. The customer service is okay. Nothing terrible, but nothing special either. The only reasons I come here as much as I do (and thus, the only redeeming factors) are: it's very convenient for me, and cheap. I'll sometimes stop by just to grab an item off the dollar menu like a simple hamburger or chicken sandwich. Still, if you have a few more minutes to spare, there is another McDonalds only a little bit away, on the other side of Willimantic. Just take Rt 6 West (which is right near this McDonalds), get off at the second exit, turn left and another McDonalds (with MUCH better french fries) will be on your right very shortly. I STRONGLY urge you to go to that one, rather than go to this horrible excuse of a McDonalds! read more

all they cared about were their drive thru times so they had about 6 cars pull over to wait. once walking out with the bags they asked what we ordered. once telling them they still proceeded to hand us the wrong bag. when telling them we were missing an item the employee snatched the bag out of my hand. this isn't my first time here but it is definitely the worst experience ive had. if they hadn't been so concerned with drive thru times it could've been handled so much better. after repeating our order to them three separate times they walked up to us and said "we don't know your order so we just gave you whatever is in here"... like i'm sorry we said it several times. additionally one of my roommates can't eat meat so the fact that it was so difficult to just get a large fry is outrageous. do better please. read more

Nothing quite like waiting an HOUR PLUS for an order to be wrong. used Door Dash to order from this mcdonalds last night and oh my god was it a nightmare. not only was the food barely thrown together but you could see that one of the special request tabs had been put on a burger twice so that my mcchicken was TOTALLY wrong. nothing like paying an extra $2 for tomatoes you never get. not only did they have an outrageous amount of time to make the food but then to fuck it up is stupid impressive. read more

I'm giving this McDonald's a two star review for the following. I was welcomed by an employee smoking a cigarette right outside of the door. I ordered a number 2, and our order was fine when they gave it to us. But while we were waiting (five minutes, and we were the only ones there), I overheard the person at the fry station say to someone who I couldn't tell wether they were new, or the manager, based on the fact that they weren't wearing the uniform: "Just squish 'em in there, they won't know" And by "em" I mean the fries. This McDonalds has always been my favorite. Until now that is. We went thru the Drive-thru and ordered or food. They were all flusted because I had a coupon. That did not bother me. But when we got home(less than 5 minutes away) we were shocked. We had sausage mcmuffins with egg. They were awful. The buns were so hard, we could not eat them. They must have been left over from breakfast. It was twelve noon when we ordered them. They also never gave me a receit. Guess they did not want me to bring it back.
