Door dasher methods need improvement. We ordered via DoorDash, our order was delayed and we had no idea why. Our dasher allegedly did not speak proper English and passed the phone to a worker and all the worker said was a "dasher" had already retrieved our order and she hung up the phone didn't even let us talk or answer our questions? Moving forward yall need to VERIFY these "dashers". How did they pick up our order if yall are supposed to have them say the name of the order? They're also supposed to provide a code or show verification on their phone? Being hung up on because yall didn't properly verify the dasher that stole our purchased items is incompetent and unacceptable. Our dasher had to cancel our order because of this. Management needs to get their staff up to par on dasher verification procedures! read more

I had no clue this location existed. My daughter wanted food and to our surprise, after visiting two other DQ's this is the location also sells treats only. We didn't stay long. FYI, google first to make sure the location you are visiting sells food if that's what you are looking for. If you are in the area check them out. A quick in out of the the drive-thru at one of my favorite ice-cream joints on a Friday night with my son. Surprisingly this was my first visit at this store and they did not disappoint. The store located off Kempsville and just North of Indian River is an interesting one to access. The pull through lanes offer either driver, or passenger service and the lanes are tight. The passenger side was closed. Customers can also walk up. The appearance of the building looked neat. Ordering was flawless and the voice friendly. A total was given on the Cookie Dough Blizzard and Strawberry Shake. With one car ahead just finishing I pulled up and paid. Payment was processed quickly and the high school aged girl was a sweetheart. Their signature Blizzard was flipped back and forth before handing over with the shake. Napkins were provided. My Strawberry Shake was delicious with whip cream on top. If you've never had one they use real strawberries. Chunks can get caught in the straw. My son loves their cookie dough and reported it was great. I would return to the store if in the area. I frequent one in Bayside that's close to my home, this store is far. DQ has been a family favorite for years and continues to produce wonderful ice-cream products. read more

Wanted a sweet treat after a late night airport pick up. Tried to go to the Wendy's outside the airport but the line just wasn't moving. Google told us they're open until midnight, so we swung by. Getting here from the interstate is kinda wonky with all the weird lights, specifically a designated u-turn light, but once you're passed that, you're golden. Staff is super efficient and friendly. I've been to this location a few times, and I have yet to have a bad experience. The workers are nice, friendly, and (most important) patient. Patience is a virtue because DQ has a LOT of Blizzard opinions. Unfortunately, this location does not have french fries on the menu, which goes so perfectly with Blizzards. The drive-through and parking situation being too tight is the only thing that I would change. Our all time favorite the DQ blizzard! But the location is a little weird bc of the reconstruction of the intersection there but we made it! Lol Aside from that it is always so comforting to have it a dessert or just a reward for my daughter after having their dental work done! I normally come here to get a Reeses peanut butter cup blizzard or a vanilla cone dipped in orange. They haven't messed up an order yet that I've gotten from here. Why, oh why do I bother coming here? Certainly my waist line doesn't need it but sometimes a hankering for ice cream is so strong you just have to go with it. There are times, too, when nostalgia hits you. I won't mention how many years but it was at least a couple of decades that I could remember driving home from South Florida beaches in my parent's VW van with the warm, damp, and salty breeze blowing through the windows leaving us a bit chilled whilst we children sang, "I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice scream," and it would often be enough to prompt my dad to make a small detour and hit up the local DQ. The service is usually decent and they don't seem to have a problem getting the orders right which couldn't be said about a year ago. I'd almost given up on DQ then, but the draws of my sweet tooth cravings were more powerful than my willpower. Who doesn't love soft serve, especially dipped in a crisp and creamy chocolate shell coating? And banana splits? Fuhgeddaboudit! No, don't. Seriously you can't go wrong with the banana split if you ask them to substitute the chocolate syrup for the thick, glossy, hot fudge topping and the pineapple for delicious, smooth, gooey, and buttery, hot caramel sauce. The strawberries aren't overly processed so they complement the fudge and caramel sauces. The one item I would stay away from at this location is the Heath Blizzard. They sure screwed that up when they began adding chocolate in with the heath and ice cream. It is overpowering...too much. The original Heath Blizzard with simply ice cream and heath was perfect. And if you ask them why they changed it, they'll tell you they've always done it that way. They won't believe otherwise. Gee, I'm old as dirt. ;) I can't comment on the "food" items because my brain refuses to engage in the period that far back in time when I did try it and wasn't the least bit impressed.
