It's open-air and welcoming and even has a little kids' play kitchen area upstairs. There a few tables both inside and out. The person who helped me was super helpful and friendly, but I had managed to order online while waiting for the customers ahead of me anyway. Their online portal is detailed and offered almost everything you could order in store (you'd be surprised how rare this is, especially with customizations). As for the food, I got an Oklahoma style double, bro-nions, and fries. I had ordered the sauce on the side for the burger but they forgot to give it to me, so the burger was just okay. Despite have grilled onions cooked into it, it was honestly pretty flavorless, but I had made it home by the time I realized there was no sauce in the bag and such is life. The fries were my favorite kind: shoestring, friend perfectly and salted perfectly. The bro-nions are fried pickled onions and were really good! The pickled flavor really shines through and they are something this foodie has never seen anywhere - which is quite a treat! :)

It's sort of like a knockoff Starbucks with higher prices. Yes I did say higher prices than Starbucks - can you imagine? The reason they get away with that is because they are at a Thruway rest stop where you do not want to get off the highway for coffee because it will cost you extra money in tolls.

This is part of a food court that's built above the New York Thruway I guess it's I-90. There's a Subway, an Italian place, McDonald's, dismal you shop and they visitors information booth. The place is kind of run-down but it serves its purpose. When I walked up to the counter I didn't realize there were two cash registers and I was standing at the closed one so it took forever for me to attract enough attention to get some service and then she told me I had to go to the other register which I did. She was not very friendly and she was bored to tears I would think. I ordered a small coffee and I expected the same quality that I've gotten elsewhere it serve Lavazza. No way. It was 275 plus tax. The $1 cup of coffee at McDonald's would have been far better. Avoid this place don't even think about going in here. Jim

When we pulled into the parking lot, it was clear. We weren't the only ones that had heard about the sale. The line for the drive through window was out into the road and blocking traffic on a side street, so we opted to go in. The line inside was bursting the doors at the seams, but we squeezed in. It was around a half hour's wait before we got to the counter and ordered our two Blizzards. Small size, one chocolate brownie and one mint Oreo. I was not expecting such a small cup of ice cream to be $5, but good thing for the sale. The brownie Blizzard was delicious from what little I was given to taste. The Mint Oreo was very poorly mixed, although I tried not to judge given the length of the line and hectic pace of the workers. All the mint flavoring and green food color was left at the bottom of the cup (You can probably see how it's missing color in the photo). The result was a sugary vanilla-like flavor for most of the treat with a slight rush of mint at the end. I'm glad for the experience, I'll say that. And if you need an ice cream treat before the seasonal stands open, DQ is probably one of your few choices.

Legend has it that he requested meat served between slices of bread so he could eat while continuing to play cards. This convenient and portable meal gained popularity and eventually became known as the "sandwich." Before Montagu's time, people around the world used bread as a vessel for food....... Ancient Origins: The concept of placing food on or between bread existed in ancient cultures. In the Middle East, flatbreads like pita were used to hold meats and spreads, much like modern wraps or shawarma. Medieval Trenchers: In medieval Europe, "trenchers" (thick slices of stale bread) were used as plates for meat and sauces. Once the meal was over, the bread was eaten or given to the poor. Modern Evolution: The sandwich as we know it spread throughout Europe and the Americas in the 19th and 20th centuries, evolving into countless regional varieties, from the French baguette sandwiches to the American club sandwich. At Subway Hamburg, the sandwich is a combination of art, history, science, and food innovation. I ordered the tuna sub with a multigrain roll. Some say a sub is a sandwich or a hoagie is sub masquerading as a Hero or a Po' Boy like Grinder. But, I digress. This is Subway's world and we are all merely actors looking for a script and Subway's menu is the director's Final Cut. You can search your whole life looking for Valhalla, but the secret passageway John Montagu was looking for in the 1700s is realized here in Hamburg NY on Buffalo Street. What. R. U. Waiting. For. Get you some !
