It was towards the end of the picking season, so at first the berries seemed scarce, but once you push aside the bushes, some prime strawberries appear. They came to $4.25 a quart ( you pay after you are finished) .... we also indulged in some milkshake treats after spending some time picking in the sun. (they were out of straws, but I improvised) I chose a Raspberry one, it hit the spot! Next up, cherry picking!

It's a fun and safe way to do something special during these unprecedented times. Highly recommended. It's not just about getting berries. It's about the EXPERIENCE! He asked if I knew how to select a ripe pineapple. Showed me how the one I picked was not ready and explained how to select a ripe one. He returned what I picked back to the shelf and brought back another one. Sliced it up this morning per his instructions - perfect! You usually don't get that type of service in chain stores. Such a good experience!

We visited Harris Farms just for their ice cream stand which is a walk up window on the right hand…read moreside. There are picnic tables to the right side of the window in the lawn for seating. It was raining when we visited so we took our sundaes to go. The staff was friendly and efficient. They happily answered the questions we had prior to ordering. We both ended up ordering peanut butter sundaes made with hard ice cream of our choice. He opted for peanut butter cup and I chose queen of hearts. Both were dressed with peanut butter sauce & hot fudge, pretty much "crusted" with smashed peanut butter cups and topped off with whipped cream and a cherry. The cost came to just under $14. It was a perfect after dinner treat and helped to brighten a rainy day!
