I'm guessing the worker was new, but the customer service was just very off. I would give him a certain detail of the cake, he would write it down, and then there were just long awkward pauses where he would just stare at me and not say anything else to me. I had to repeatedly ask if he needed more information or if I could pay now, but he would just continue to stare, and then just when I thought everything was finished, he would finally ask another question after a significant delay. It genuinely took a while, and it was just a strange and draining process. I was also given wrong information after all that waiting. One question he asked me was what size heart-shaped cake I wanted. He told me the sizes, and I responded with 8 inches. Later on, another worker came over to ring me up and asked me what size I wanted. I told him the first worker already wrote down 8 inches. I was then told that 8 inches isn't even an option for a heart-shaped cake. It's always great to train your workers more, but I think it would also be really beneficial to have a form asking for the details required to order a cake. That way, the customer can fill out the details of the cake themselves! It really would have saved a lot of my time and made the entire process much smoother.
