We go to this Dairy Queen semi often and we received this hand written note in our bag saying the previous time we came that someone SPIT in our drinks and nothing was done to the person who did it. I truly appreciate the note and hope no one ever comes to this location again! Shame on the "boss" that did nothing to that employee. I plan on going more public with this information. read more

The Dairy Queen in Boulder City does not honor any coupons or deals from the Dairy Queen's app. After placing our order and going through the drive thru window, we were told that they don't have the technology to take codes or discounts. Our two $1.00 each small dipped ice cream cones totaled almost $7.00. I told my boyfriend that we don't want them. He is too nice and paid for them anyway because they were already made. Once we pulled away and bit into them, they weren't even the flavor we ordered. Yikes! We are going to have to find a different DQ to do business with. read more

I had ordered an ice cream cake for my daughter's bday who is allergic to eggs. Once I had placed the order in the store, the manager called me to confirm the allergy and verified that his research also showed that as such no components had egg allergen, that they would sanatize and assemble the cake however did tell me that they can't guarantee that there was no cross contamination from before the components reached them. After having dealt with my daughters allergy for 3 yrs I knew this to be pretty standard so we went ahead.. the cake tasted and looked wonderful, no allergy issues! On the way back from the Hoover Dam, take the business route through Boulder City and stop for an ice cream cone at Dairy Queen. It is like any typical Dairy Queen except that they have Frozen Hot Chocolate. Sounds like an oxymoron to me. We stuck to our usual ice cream cone dipped in chocolate. There is seating outside weather permitting. This is a great alternative to paying double the price for ice cream on the Vegas strip. read more

I pick up some chocolate shakes several times a month for a group of housebound seniors. One day a new employee put WAY too much chocolate in the shakes and I told the manager about it my next trip there. He has patiently and professionally worked with me a couple times now to get those shakes just right. This place has really gotten terrible. The speaker at the drive-thru is broken with the volume turned way up so you get blasted out of your seat when they greet you! Be careful! They also are inaccurate with taking orders. Not sure if this is related to the speaker, but it's the worse customer experience ever! I ended up with a blizzard that I DID NOT order, but it was chocolate so I tried to eat it. It was the most disgusting blizzard ever. I threw it out and WILL NOT BE GOING BACK! I make it a point to get off the freeway and stop here whenever I'm coming through Boulder City. This is in part due to their consistently great service (as well as my recent addiction to their blizzards and pulled pork sandwiches ;). Its Dairy Queen and when its 106+ its your savior in the desert. Air Conditioning and Cold Yummly Blizzards. Friendly employees and this location even sells Hoover Dam Hats. They did run a floor cleaner while people were sitting down eating which was a little odd. But ok. And most DQ's put chocolate sauce in my Cookie Dough blizzard without asking but its ok. The vanilla ice cream itself was good, but the butterscotch was orange and tasted nothing like butterscotch! I wouldn't say there is anything particularly outstanding about this Dairy Queen, but there certainly isn't anything negative to report, either. It's a small location with very limited seating. I almost always go through the Drive Thru, although I've also dined in on several occasions. The inside is clean and the staff is generally upbeat. My food is usually delivered in a timely manner, and as expected. The non-ice cream menu is pretty thin, but I only go to DQ for dessert. I have no complaints about this location after numerous visits. read more
