I usually get the Trabue, but this time I skipped the cheese and added fresh jalapeños. So good. My only complaint is I wish they had tater tots as a side instead of just crinkle fries. I was also happy to see they had Xul's PB&J Mixed Tape beer on tap. The bathrooms were clean, parking around the square was easy and free, and there are a bunch of other spots nearby like ice cream shops, bars, and line dancing. Definitely worth checking out.

We've really enjoyed our (many) visits to Jack Browns!…read more The burgers are one of the best around, and the specialties are incredible!! My go to is the Cobra Kai burger, it's amazing! The fries are pretty good, but the fry sauce is amazing! The atmosphere is a bar, nothing special. It's a good vibe, but nothing crazy. The service really depends on who is serving you. We've had both good and bad service, if it's bad - try again. 8/10

Once again, Yelp for the win here. It's rare that a restaurant attached to a chain hotel is…read moreanything but mediocre, so it was only based on the positive reviews that we gave this place a try. The way it works, you're given a menu and a marker and you indicate everything from meat choice to condiments. Simple, hard to screw up your order, and well executed. We started out with some calamari, the birthday girl ordered the flaming burger which was quite the show. My older sister ordered a bacon burger and I ordered the shrimp and grits. If there is shrimp and grits on the menu I will always order it, I'm a shrimp and grits connoisseur if you will. That said Five on black knows how to do shrimp and grits! The grits were cheesy and creamy and the shrimp was nicely seasoned, the only thing that could have perfected the plate for me was adding some sausage. We had a great experience.

The food and service were superb. It was all classic food done really well. All the portions were generous to say the least. The Wednesday Date Night Special is a great deal and I'd highly recommend. Our server was fantastic and super helpful.

Bad Daddy's is hands down my favorite restaurant in Murfreesboro. Even though it's known for…read moreburgers, I almost always order Emilio's Chicken, and it's honestly my favorite item on the menu. If you're someone who doesn't always want a burger at a burger restaurant, it's definitely worth trying. Another menu item that surprised me was the deviled eggs. They're a unique twist on a classic appetizer and not something you see at most restaurants. The food is consistently good, the menu has a lot of variety, and it's one of the few places I keep coming back to without getting tired of it. Every time someone asks me for a restaurant recommendation in Murfreesboro, Bad Daddy's is at the top of my list.

Oversalted food! The burger patty was overcooked, salty, and…read morecrumbly instead of served as a medium well. I got the buttermilk bacon for my burger and it should only be served as a side or appetizer. The half slice of bacon is breaded so it is over an inch thick and there were 4 pieces on the patty. There is no way this could fit in a normal sized mouth if you add any lettuce or other condiments. I asked for Brie and got one 1" slice. Definitely not what I expected for a $3 up charge. The sweet potato fries were inedible due to the salt they were doused with. I will, however, recommend the house fried chips with onion dip and it was a shame to have to leave it since there was so much of it. It probably would be great in place of mayo on a burger. I also observed 5-6 people wandering in and out of the back that weren't wearing uniforms but seemed to know everyone as they stood around chatting. Why??? Not very professional for food service. One young man in particular kept running his hand thru his long hair as he stood near the staff area for drinks and the pass. Ugh! There was also another guy with hair down to his waist that was pulled back but man!, that ponytail was swinging loose everywhere from the kitchen to the bar. Again, ugh! Neither of those would I want near where my food was being prepared. The menu is a fun looking and eclectic mess but we won't be back. I prefer a food be under-salted as one can always add more if needed and the hair completely turned me off.

My go-to drink is the Dirty Hippie--it never disappoints. Honestly, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. It is on the pricier side, but the portions are generous, so you definitely get your money's worth. Parking can be tricky but we always get lucky and find something around the square.

First walk in has the old business feel of the town, it faces the court house square. The ambiance…read moreis great but the tables and chairs could use some repair as every table we tried wobbled a lot. I did not take pictures of the inside as it is a very busy weekend here. First complaint is there is no guidance for people who are from out of town on how to order or where to go. I have been watching the out of town parents confused as well trying to figure this place out! The iPads set up to order are not sales leading or helpful. When we picked up our coffees is when we FOUND the full menus to read (AFTER we ordered). Not only did they lose sales but we did not see any meat options to add to our order! The lattes tried were a make your own and are better than Starbucks. I had the regular with sweetener (had to ask for a little more sweetener as you can not choose more than one of the same item) and prefer a light to no foam but it is not an option. The second option was the golden girl with honey and cinnamon. Good but different. The first food was the Susie Basic ($11 +$0.50 for strawberries) the crepe that is too thick for a traditional crepe, did not come filled with the strawberries or anything else it was just folded into quarters and topped with the equivalent of 4/5 whole strawberries and whipped cream on the side. The second food item was the French toasted waffle pancake ($15) this is a great concept but it was under cooked and doughy but more than enough food for a meal. It would have been better with a breakfast meat included! Over all the rating is a 3 because of service, the confusion, and the immediately asking for a tip when you order not knowing you really get no service before or after you get food! Even water is a self serve dispenser! It's a great place, different concept in food service. It wants fast food as far service but set up to be table service. After our food arrived we were directed to the silverware and napkins. No one checks on food quality or needs after you are served your food!

While visiting Panther Creek Brews there was a non-descript food truck there with a hand-written…read moremenu. I took a look at the menu and it didn't really resemble what most food trucks offer. The offerings indicated someone who cooked using a bit of flair and looked like they knew how to enhance a dish with sauces. I selected the Rosemary Chicken Bacon Ranch Quesadillas. Now these are not like any quesadilla I've had as a "appetizer" at many restaurants, this was a creative melding of intricate flavors into a quasi-soft shell taco/quesadilla. The grilled chicken had great flavor and the bacon and ranch really complemented the quesadilla. The tortilla was perfect, slightly crisp, and held the entire quesadilla together and didn't fall apart after the first bite. To top it all off...I got to meet the owners/operators Frankie and Tony Wong. This couple works hard, serve up great food, and are really fun to talk to. Highly recommend you like and subscribe to their FB Page. Their menu is a dry erase board and changes daily, I can't wait to see what special item they will create next. https://www.facebook.com/Myrootsfoodtruck

The TRIPLE LAYER TOMATO AND BASIL GRILLED CHEESE ON SOURDOUGH was delish! Soft, with a crunchy outside and surprisingly not too much bread. A good amount of cheese and flavor. Just too crunch and the flavor was heavy on the oil, rather than potato. Total cost was $9 before tip, which made it one of the least expensive items on the truck. Customer service was professional. All I can say is it was incredible. We walked in and there was a group of musicians in the corner playing acoustic songs from multiple genres which was really relaxing and then we ordered breakfast. I got the corned beef and hash, which was amazing and my wife got the BLT which on the menu said comes with 1 pound of bacon. We thought it was a gimmick until it came to the table and it looked like something that would flip Fred Flintstone's car over. The staff was amazing and very friendly and the food again was all outstanding.
