I went out of my way to come here on a roadtrip and I would not recommend it to any travelers. No drive thru and terrible communication.

The change in ownership has been a game changer! Food side is quicker than in years past. And the customer service is amazing!

Ice cream taste like ice cream. Lots of flies in outdoor seating, wouldn't recommend. Service was ok.

The LunchBox - Salad from salad bar

On this trip, we decided to try the Jalapeño popper cheeseburger, the loaded steak fries, the fried pickles and of course... I always have to get a salad bar when there is one! The salad bar was super fresh, and everything was clean and tidy. The jalapeño popper cheeseburger was so good. It had cream cheese, regular cheese, Bacon and grilled jalapeños! The burger was a smash burger, so it was crispy and delicious. The Loaded steak fries were so good. They came with hot Cheetos, nacho cheese, steak, and ranch. We love nacho cheese, so these were great for us. The fried pickles were so good and I love that it's a big portion! Don't ever change the portion size please... but could've used two sides of ranch for them because there were so many! Next time we will order another one. We also got a huckleberry lemonade, not pictured, that was really good too. I loved how good the little salad bar was and I definitely am going to be going back to get a big one for lunch one day. All in all the lunchbox was so good and the food came really fast too . I might just go back today to get a big salad!

At first, we thought we made a mistake eating here, but we were happy. We did. The employees were really nice and were fun to joke with. I got a burger and a chocolate peanut butter shake. In reading reviews from others, one needs to know the style and intent of the place. People looking for sophisticated, fancy meal will be disappointed. People looking for a family style meal, with the warm and engaging people, with honest, real, good food, will be thrilled. We were there for a late lunch. Our server was extremely kind and explained the menu, process, and local favorites The Pico Punch had a touch of Vicks 44, but that's exactly what it should taste like. The quantities are huge. Cabbage soup broth was delicious. Italian bread would be better if warmed, but still good. The salad was robustly tossed and the dressing had a nice touch of garlic. The steak sandwich was tender and had an excellent marinade/flavor. Fries: very greasy and not their finest moment. We have family in Iowa and this all felt similar: Midwest friendliness, warmth, and good food. We were leaving at 445 and the line had grown to 20 for dinner! Appeared to be locals/regulars. As another noted, yes, there are brothels just down the street. Hey, it adds to the local charm!

Food= A+ Drinks= A+…read moreService= A+ Environment = A+ The food was hands down amazing! We had the full each of ribs, ribeyes, and the lobster ravioli as our main entrees. The calamari and the garlic cheese curds were very yummy. The speciality drink menu was awesome! We had the lavender lemon drops, sex in the woods, and the knockout punch! The mixologist knew her stuff as the drinks were very tasty, our food was served with perfect timing and our server was fun and quick. We were greeted both in and out and I highly recommend cooks to anyone seeking an impressive dinner with drinks that'll make you proud. We will be back to try the bar and have fun with our friends and neighbors alike. Thank you Cooks for a fun and awesome experience!

We found out ahead of time that they…read morecook with tallow instead of seed oils, which is important to us, so we even called in advance to ask if reservations were required. We were told no reservations were needed. My wife, two of her friends, and I came in, ordered drinks, and had an exceptional meal. The food quality was excellent, and the atmosphere was pleasant. We were enjoying ourselves, having conversation after dinner, and had spent around $300 on the meal. Then, unexpectedly, someone other than our great waitress came to the table and told us we needed to leave because there was a reservation for our table at 7:30. This was shocking and incredibly awkward since there were several open tables including the one next to us that was the exact same size as ours. We were not informed of any time limit when seated, and we had been explicitly told earlier that reservations were not required. Being asked to leave after spending that much money--while still sitting and talking--felt rude and unprofessional. What made it worse: we drove by about 30 minutes later (around 8:00 PM), and the table was empty. No one was seated there. Great food does not excuse poor hospitality. If there are time limits or reservations, customers need to be told up front, not pressured out mid-evening after a premium-priced meal. This experience completely overshadowed what would have otherwise been a great night. Unfortunately, because of how this was handled, we won't be returning.

Elko, NV May 2026…read more We entered the restaurant and the hostess told us to seat ourselves. It is a very uninviting dining room. Concrete floors and about 15 tables. There are many framed pictures along the wall, and some baskets hung as well. The restaurant and bathroom are exceptionally clean. The waitress is very kind and full of personality. Told her I had some food allergies and she seemed to know the menu very well and told me what to stay clear of. I ordered the SHISH TAWOOK and my husband ordered the chicken rolls. After 15 minutes, they came back to the table to tell us that they were out of chicken rolls. So he ordered the same thing as me. The food came out on a wooden board similar to a charcuterie board. There were six small pieces of chicken, and the sides of hummus, rice, and tabbouleh . I ordered a side of pita as well. The chicken was flavored perfectly. However, the chicken was overcooked and dry. The rest of the plate was delicious. The pita was very good as well. We both really enjoyed this meal. The only thing that brings my score down was the overcooked chicken. Otherwise it would have been perfect. This place gets 4.7 stars. I would definitely come back
