Was there one week ago with my grandson aged 3 yrs. The girl at the counter was pleasant, polite, friendly, attentive. The facility was very clean. We ordered a small kid's vanilla cup with sprinkles and I ordered a small chocolate blizzard with Reeces cups. We sat inside and ate while playing 'I spy' with the Christmas window stickers. I stopped in this location for the first time today, as I have always seen this DQ driving by on 309. I was surprised when I walked in, it had one of the nicer DQ eating areas I have seen. Plenty of tables to eat at, and it was decorated with donations to the Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia which was a nice touch too. The service was good, I didn't run into any long waits and they were ontop of things. I got the usual, the fudge stuffed cookie which I get quite often at DQs. The only downside to this store is the location and the parking. It is located on North Broad Street right off of 309 so it probally gets alot of traffic which is good for the store, but expect to have a bit of a wait going left or right for cars coming off of 309 or going on (especially during the day). The parking lot consists of 10 or so spots next to the store before the Yum Yum Donuts shop, it doesn't have a whole lot of room to maneuver around if there are alot of cars. And when I was eating in my car people came from 309 and cut across the parking lot to the drive through nearly hitting my car. Its definitely a lot to watch out in. Overall, the store itself, the service and the food is great, but the parking lot and location could be a bit better, and it requires you to be aware of your surroundings. Being next to a Yum Yum Donut shop is also equally dangerous for your wallet. read more

This Dairy Queen has THE BEST chicken fingers for your money! The food is always made fresh, so you may wait a few more minutes, but it's worth it. 10 bucks and change for 6 large chicken fingers, fries and garlic toast. We've also ordered their burgers, which are pretty good, but not great. I know the burgers are grilled, but they taste like they are steamed. The staff is always friendly, however they are still closed inside, which is a bit frustrating. The dining room was always pretty clean, when it was open, pre Covid. Hoping they open it up again, because it does give a lot of cozy vibes. read more

Ordered5 buck lunch ( includes drink)with water. Got to window and was given cup of water- oh I wanted s bottle. She Wanted to charge total $8and change with the water. Most places INC water instead of soda and I can understand chg extra dollar but really $2.50 or more for water? So I said I'll take the included soda and I'll keep the cup if water you handed me and she still charged me for a soda. Geez not trying be cheap but c'mon common sense. This place has been here forever and I have been going here forever, but not many times in my adulthood.Stopped in tonight, a Saturday night, to get a quick sundae and it was an interesting experience. There were 4 people in front of us and it took over 15 minutes to order, they totally concentrated on drive thru orders. It seems most fast food tend to do this but it is annoying. It seems that they have recently remodeled, they gave modern wood chair rail crown molding and contemporary wall paper with cutting edge lace curtains. I can assure there is no where else that has this decor anywhere around . I was excited to pay PAC man during my wait but it took my quarter and didn't work. I am a fan of DQ but not sure of this location, it has duct tape on the ceiling to cover water stains , mold ,really?Its a restaurant, not a fraternity house. I love dairy queen. But, The service here isn't great. I love the royal peanut butter blizzards but recently they took it off their menu and only kept certain kinds. I've been to numerous locations since and every one made it for me when I requested it, even though it is no longer on the menu. The colmar location is the only one who said sorry we don't make those anymore. Once I asked for a star pop for my son and they had no idea what I was talking about. How do you not know a dairy queen staple? Oh and it's on your menu.. Besides lazy employees, the dining room is horrific and really could use a good cleaning and some updates. horrible customer service. I drove 20 mins to get ice cream with my sister and I order a small blizzard and a medium, when I got home there were 2 smalls. So I did what everyone else would do, call the store. I called twice and got no answer so I drove all the way back, 20 mins mind you. I got to the window told them my situation and they proceeded to tell me I owed them 53 cents because of their mistake they made! So then I paid with a 1$ bill, I never got my change. Then another lady came out and says I gave you a mini to make up for it. Mind you my small blizzard I have is now melted from driving back home the first time and then coming back to fix their mistake. The least they could do for my mistake is give me a fresh new one and ask for the small blizzard back. Again horrible service. read more

Drive-thru order: ordered side salad, blizzard and chicken fingers. Blizzard was handed our with the side salad and I was asked to pull up to wait on the chicken fingers. Two cars pull through, I back up to the window to wait for my chicken fingers. Taking a look at the side salad right before they hand be the chicken fingers, I see the edges of the lettuce are brown so I ask them to take the bag back and refund my money. What I was told is 'it's store policy to not refund money, you'll gave to speak to the manager'. I pointed out I hadn't eaten and disliked it, I hadn't touched it at all, it just didn't look fresh. From the workers off to the side I could hear snide remarks and 'That was made today, it's fresh, why doesn't she want it' and I said it had brown edges, if it wet made today then whoever made it did so with old produce. Then after a few more minutes of listening to them discuss how they wouldn't refund the money, and my asking for the number of the manager 'who wasn't there'', I couldn't be refunded unless I talked to this person, another young lady produced my refund and apologized In the scheme of things, I know this is a minor annoyance but seriously, the last thing I needed today was this ridiculous show of stupidity. Of course I wouldn't have expected a refund if I'd eaten the salad but I'd only looked at it. I'll take my business to the DQ up the road, service is better and this mob mentality of idiocy doesn't exist. Seriously, folks, this is a hidden gem! Hubby and I popped in for lunch on Thursday. There were 2 employees--one at the drive through and one mixing a shake. As soon as we walked in, the shake girl turned around, greeted us, and said she'd be right with us. Honestly, the service here is always super. I realize it's just a burger joint, but the staff is always attentive, upbeat and friendly. I ordered a basic burger and fries, while my husband had a grilled chicken. We were handed cups for self-serve drinks at the counter and an employee brought the food to us. We sat in the atrium/sun room area, and enjoyed the good weather for a few minutes before the food arrived. Now, we're burger junkies, and have tried most of the trendy places--5 Guys, Shake Shack, Way Back Burger--and our Dairy Queen sandwiches topped these chains' fare by a mile! My burger was perfectly sauced, and had a thick, beautifully ripe slice of tomato. The chicken was both juicy and tasty. I originally thought the fries looked a little undercooked, but they turned out to be perfect. Usually I have to dress up fries with extra seasonings, but these needed nothing. This would be a place that would be easy to pass by, but DON'T. The whole atmosphere is inviting and comfortable, the service is always exceptional, the food was great...and don't forget the ice cream! read more

This is the worst Dairy Queen ever. Sunday night , 6:00 pm . Ordered a Summer berry cheesecake blizzard. I got a gray looking cup of vanilla ice cream with 7 damn blueberrys. No raspberries, no blackberries and no damn cheesecake!! A bunch of ignorant young turds. Not the first screw up, once you use the drive thru , get home, should I really have to drive back. First of all.. run by teenage girls one of them with a massive attitude problem!! we asked to do two orders and she said they couldn't do that because the system was too old, I just don't get how you can't do two orders ..simply close out the first order and start another one as I went to talk to her she kept cutting me off and getting louder with me just repeating herself with the same answer!! you need to train your Staff on customer service and how to talk to people very rude I honestly wouldn't be having her talking with the customers Untill she learn some manners.. also no one had hair nets on Just looked completely Unsanitary The hair should be pulled back tightly not flying around everywhere ..we will not be returning to this Dairy Queen read more

I ordered a Blizzard Ice Cream cake online for my daughter's birthday. It looked delicious in the picture. We picked it up on the day of her party and when we got home it looked absolutely nothing like the picture. I called right away to inquire and was told by a supervisor that this is the way they make it. I could pick up some cookie dough to put on top but it would be an extra charge. First of all this made no sense ( I ordered because the picture is what we desired), secondly I didn't have tome to run up as the party was starting soon and third , a charge? for what wasn't done well the first time. I just had to serve it to my very disappointed daughter and asked for a manager to call. I was told the owner would call me back. Finally four days later he did in fact call me and apologized however offered no solution to me and didn't really seem to care at all. He told me that was the way they did it and it wasn't his fault that the picture is not what they make there. He told me I was free to write a review or call corporate but other than that it was out of his hands. I had a butterscotch sundae there tonight - they have changed it to some plastic covering that tasted nothing like butterscotch. It was hands down the worst butterscotch sundae I've had and I'm nearing 62 years old. Don't order it. Total waste of money. The 1 star is for the vanilla ice cream only and that was ok. read more

I have loved this place for many many years. Since they used to close in winter and only have walk up service. Twice this month the owners have threatened to call the police on me. Something is horribly wrong now and not only do I never want to go there again, I have slighly bad feelings about the yum yum next door just because it is so close. First time a middle aged man threatened to call the police because I walked my dog on the edges of the parking lot. I figured he had had a bad day but was tempted to speak with the woman owner about my concerns. Yesterday my friend bought an expensive but good milkshake. He decided to throw out a bag of trash. The woman owner was parked right next to the trash can taking up valuable customer space. She told me friend that was illegal and then the same guy came out and threatened my friend by saying he would call the police. Way to chase off customers. I'm so sad. read more

This is perhaps the best dairy queen in the world. The ambiance of the restaurant is next to none! The wallpaper and moulding looks like it's from my grandma's house, and the pinball machine tucked into the corner as well as the all in one arcade cabinet really add to the experience. Top that off with a very friendly staff, a bunch of teenage girls who talk loudly of their dramatic high school experiences and share their social commentary with each other, and apparently the rest of us who can hear them. Ahh to be young again. One and only one problem that keeps it from best in the universe....THEY DO NOT HAVE CHILI CHEESE FRIES :-( read more
