I've heard a lot about this place. All good. I was skeptical. I was in the neighborhood today and in the mood for fries so I stopped in. Absolutely the best burger I've ever had. Completely blown away. You know how the burgers look on TV? It looked like that. So good. Every topping. Even the pickles -- I hate pickles on burgers -- loved these. The fries were excellent too. This is absolutely my go to burger place. Prices were great. Staff were great. I would change two things: get Heinz ketchup and more robust napkins. So good. read more

After living in the area for 6 years and ordering here for 2 and giving these people numerous orders (maybe 2 dozen), I've hit my final limit. I've never seen a business that employed people that knew less about cooking. I've asked via DoorDash, Grubhub, over the phone, in person, on the form, to still be this bad at following simple directions shows either "willful disregard of simple orders or an ineptitude measured with a crayon. MEDIUM. It's an option to check, it's pink in the middle. It's not hard for a "cook". Apparently it's hard here... I've always tried to support the local business, avoid the chain but the local business is utterly incompetent. The food is always good, I have zero issues there and never had. I ask you to cook it to a certain temp and the instructions turn to mandarin for someone that works on a grill and *should* understand basic temperatures for cooking meat. Awesome presentation. Shop is cute and looks just as awesome. The flavor was greatly lacking. There was no salt pepper or any seasoning on the burger itself and we had to rely on the toppings. It was quite bland. Staff was nice and courteous. I would go again but either add my own seasoning to ask for some to be sprinkled on the patty. read more

Excellent! We got two impossible burgers and they were delicious. We also got two orders of cheese fries- one of each type of cheese sauce because we couldn't pick one and the price was cheap enough to order a second one just for the hell of it. The order was to-go, and even after a 15-20 minute drive home it was still all delicious. The fries were packaged separately from the cheese sauce so they didn't get soggy. Leftover fries will be great reheated in the air fryer. Pickup was easy and quick and everyone had masks on (and no noses were poking out! Which I have seen at other places). We will definitely be back here. This was a perfect Saturday night summer dinner. I regret not buying a milkshake. read more

Today a family member and I came here and we were very excited to try it out. We each ordered single beef patties, French fries (mine were Parmesan truffle) and water. The two of us chose to eat in and another individual ordered a meal to go. Pros: Our toppings were ready before the burgers were done so they came out nice and warm. The food was very good and the staff making the burgers were very friendly and helpful. Cons: I was never offered a receipt. The woman who took our order never specified if the water came out of the cooler (Dasani bottles were in the fridge) or if she was going to pour them. She disappeared and I didn't see her for quite some time. During this time our burgers came out and there was no water. At this point I figured I paid ahead for the Dasani bottles in the fridge (since I never saw a receipt). After I let my burger cool some the woman finally came back with water in paper cups. She says "I didn't ring up those waters. I don't want to interrupt your meal, just come back and pay for them when you're done." I tried to explain to her that we didn't know since no water came for so long, she didn't seem to care. After eating I went back up there to pay for the water and she didn't skip a beat nor apologize. I would have given this place 4 stars had the woman not been so rude or unhelpful about the water. Visited here for the first time tonight and probably the last. I watched the cooks make and handle all the food without gloves. Even when you're not in a pandemic, this is disgusting. But we are in a pandemic and there's absolutely no reason to not wear gloves. Maybe if the food had been outstanding, I would have considered coming back here in the future, but not only was the food just average, I truly can't believe how much they charge for how little they give you. I got the chicken sandwich and the chicken patty was SO skinny. I honestly thought they had left it off when I first looked at my sandwich because I couldn't find it under the toppings. New burger joint needs to work out a lot of kinks. Ordered a double patty burger with American on brioche and truffle Parmesan fries. They have a system where you would order premium toppings at the register but free ones down the end where they finish your burger. Very inefficient with the staff they have. Line bottlenecks at the end. My cooked burgers sit there cooling off and previously melted cheese begins to solidify as customers pick their toppings. Need more staff if you want to pull this method off. The burger was decent. Definitely needed some salt. Bun was toasted but cold because it sat there waiting to be customized. Chose pickled and "caramelized" onions. Red onions that are still slightly raw are far from caramelized. Reason for the 2 stars were the fries. Buns get toasted ahead of time but never thought of dropping fries in the fryer when customers line up and half of them order fries? When the employee finished making my burger, he reviewed the check and noticed I ordered fries as well. Damn, no fries available? Guess I'll drop them in now because I didn't read the entire order initially. 15 minutes later I had to go up and ask about my fries. Name was never called. Fries just sat there steaming inside the styrofoam container. Finally some fries. Some sad ass Parmesan "truffle" fries. No salt or hint of truffle anywhere and started to turn soggy from steaming. Souderton definitely needed a burger joint. Unfortunately The Burger Shop doesn't hit the spot. read more

Recently opened burger joint in souderton: amazing. The Burger Shop employees are very friendly and welcoming. It felt like talking to friends. They were so accommodating, I mentioned I have an avocado allergy as they have guacamole, the employee didn't even hesitate to change his gloves. The menu isn't big, but it's got something for everyone. There's a burger, chicken, or vegan burger (Beyond Meat). They even have a vegan cheese option. The only downside is that there is no vegan bun, however you can get your sandwich lettuce wrapped. Everything came hot and was delicious. Definitely would recommend. read more

The food itself is great, crispy fries and onion rings, very customizable burgers. But if you're going to get take out, do not order ahead for pickup at a later time. Might as well just order there. I went to pick up an order I placed a few hours before. I arrived on time and didn't exactly expect my order to be ready. I told them I was here to pick up the order I placed and the girl up front said they were working on it. "Great, at least it'll be super fresh when I get it" I thought I waited and waited and noticed a lot of people coming and going, some who ordered before me, get their food and leave. After about 25 to 30 minutes they had my food ready. Clearly it seems like they forgot about my order until I arrived, but what stood out the most was how inefficient the place seemed. I noticed this with what I was able to observe during my extended time there. I get the ordering ahead was probably my fault, but maybe they shouldn't take orders ahead if they can't remember to have the food ready when the customer arrives. I'd like to think this was a one off incident, but unfortunately, I had to deal with it. Might go back, but might just order from somewhere else if I'm too hungry to possibly wait an additional 30 minutes. read more

We usually get delivery (doordash) but the food is always hot and fresh no matter what. Friendly and understanding staff. They honor all modifications which is great! Ordered an Impossible burger and truffle fries from here on a Saturday afternoon. When the food arrived, in a timely matter, my fries were ice cold and my burger was Luke warm. The burger was very good only wish it had been hot. It's a little hard to warm it up with the toppings on it. Had to warm up the fries and warmed fries are never as good as freshly cooked. Now I did order thru Grub Hub so I'm not sure if the delivery person had many more stops before mine or what. But for $22 I'd hope no matter what my food would've arrived hot. Stopped in for the first time on a weekday last week. Essentially this is the Subway of burgers! I got a build your own burger with an order of sweet potato fries and a chocolate milk shake! There are tons of topping options ranging from pickles to house made pesto sauce! Everything was very fresh and easy to read labels so you knew what everything was. Service was fast and friendly. I explained I was never there before and the guy behind the counter was helpful and walked me through everything with patience and personality. This is fresh, hometown alternative to fast food and I will definitely be stopping in soon! Good work Burger Shop! We appeared at 7pm on a Monday with a group of 15. Everything was delicious! The burgers were freshly made, served hot and very good, and made and served quickly! First time visiting this place, and with my whole family in tow. You customize everything- bun, burger, cheese, specialized toppings. Then at the end there are the "free" toppings ( likely suspects are tomatoes, pickles, onions, jalapeños...). The only thing is there are the "premium" toppings mixed in with the "free" toppings ... I think they should definitely make those in a special area , perhaps in different or color-coded bins so customers know that "toppings in the "yellow" bins are the premium ones"-- as an example here. Calorie counts would be a nicety. We also ordered the shakes-- a chocolate, vanilla with Oreos, and a strawberry made with fresh strawberries (although I think they may have been frozen). They were good-- nothing out of this world, but decent. But must say friendly and delish! Wish there was more seating, as it's a tiny place, so you may have to take your burgers to go -- and everyone knows that's a no no-- burgers gotta be eaten hot off the grill! Fries never were dropped until after the burgers were done. They are just frozen fries. Nothing special, eat them before they get cool. Burgers under seasoned but were ok. Cheese is an extra $1. None of the food or milkshakes came out on time and it was all a bit scattered. Burgers, fries, and milkshakes for two ends up $30+ Sad to say I won't be going back unless some changes are made. For the price you can get a far better meal at the butcher and the barkeep. The highlight was the guy doing the toppings was really nice. The lady at the counter never gave a receipt showing the ordered food breakdown as others have mentioned. Five guys is on a higher level imo. Hopefully they will turn it around. read more

Stopped by with my dad, while he was visiting for Christmas. Souderton has the nearest Home Depot, so we looked for a place to have lunch nearby, instead of getting drive-thru. We each had a single burger with fries. They have an excellent array for toppings. Our burgers were served on brioche buns that were lightly warmed before dressing our burgers. I thought the French fries were so-so, but my dad seemed to like them. We both thoroughly enjoyed our burgers. Definitely will come back here if I'm in town again. read more
