Went here yesterday because my cousin and I were craving milkshakes, and since it's winter, no one else is really open. I've never been here before and didn't know what to expect. The aesthetic was great and it was really clean considering it was a burger joint. They make everything right in front of you. The employees seemed rather nice even with it being so late in the evening. They were timely as well. My cousin had dropped her change without knowing and an employee picked it up and handed it to her without hesitation. Giving Wayback Burgers two stars. Went there today with one other person. Two burgers and two milk shakes was $28. Not a terrible price, but for the product, it wasn't worth it at all. The person I was with ask specifically for a hamburger, no cheese, with fried onions. He opened his burger and there was cheese on it. To make matters worse, the onions still had the skin on them (not peeled). My burger was edible but I had to put salt on it because of the complete lack of flavor. I hate to judge a restaurant after just one time of going, and that's why I gave 2 stars and not one, but I don't know if I'll ever go back. read more

Okay sooo I don't like leaving bad reviews but between the last time I came here and the times before that (years ago), this place has really declined. I went on one day and it was even particularly busy. There were so many people working but it really seemed like only one guy knew what he was doing and he constantly kept running from the food area to the cash register to fix the cashiers mistakes. The cashier was a very young girl and I'm guessing this was probably her first job but she definitely is jeopardizing the business seeing as she is the first employee you interact with. She cursed in front of me and then said oops and covered her mouth - I thought it was kind of funny but other people might not. She also did not know how to key in anything and kept asking the one guy how to and they were clearly busy with food. She also did not know how to count money which is literally the worst thing. I paid with a card luckily but I told my brother to check his change because she messed up several customers in front of us. As we were waiting for our food there was a table of several families hanging out and I thought they were doing just that - turns out they ordered milkshakes and had been waiting since before we came into the shop to get them. The cashier girl than was supposed to make them I think someone took over that role - or at least I hope they did. When my food came it was super lack luster. My burger was puny and it was one of the special ones and it was missing toppings. I ordered half fries and half onion rings and I got hardly any of either. Overall it was just a bad experience and I haven't been back. It's a shame because I loved going, especially when they had Facebook deals. Staff were young and immature the one employee on her Bluetooth talking to a friend the entire time. Rude behavior for sure but would have been fine even with that if the food had been worth it. If you know me you know I'm not a fan of chains. However, I feel the need to overlook that here. I look at this place as a guy who bought into a franchise and he's working his butt off to deliver great food. So far, he's lived up to that promise. We all eat at a fast food place now and again when we're out of our element and I'm really glad I chose this place. The burger is 10x better than any Mickey Ds, Wendys or BK chain. The grilled chicken is real unprocessed chicken. And get this. This place charges maybe $2-$3 more than those places. My wife and I can eat lunch for $19 bucks. That's 2 drinks, a double burger, grilled chicken sand, order of fries for only $19 bucks! And its really good tasting food. I'd definitely put the burger at Wayback up against even Five Guys. When it comes to not having many choices you can't go wrong with this Chalfont location. I haven't had a bad meal yet. I cannot speak for any other wayback store, only this one. The bad, the person taking orders barely could understand me. I would have overlooked this as the food is what counts however... After spending time to get my order correct... They missed my jalapenos when making the burger. The final note, this place smells... I don't mean like oh wow the food must be good smell, I mean they haven't showered in a few days smell. I walked through the door and it hit me. I just can't get passed it. I'm not sure where its coming from. But even after eating, I'm still smelling it. The place was definitely busy. As others mentioned, the staff is very friendly and the place is super clean. Plenty of choices on the menu or you can create your own burger. I definitely would recommend getting two patties versus one because they are very thin. My girlfriend got a single patty and there was more bun than beef. I tried the Rodeo Burger with double patties and it was really good. Very fresh since all the food is MTO. The burgers weren't really greasy either which was a pleasant surprise. Just ate here with my children for the first time. One of my sons was craving a burger so we came here for him. My boys all LOVED their kid's cheeseburger meals, cleaned their plates! For a small upcharge they got milkshakes instead of fountain drinks and as their mom I tasted each one of their delicious shakes :-). I ordered a double bacon burger with chili cheese fries. Let me just say that I forgot about my burger once I tasted the fries. The burger was great and loaded with bacon, but the fries were just addicting!! When we checked DoorDash it turns out that the restaurant did not make our order for 1 hour and 20 minutes after ordering. Then it came...missing 2 items. Called abs spoke to a "manager" who lied and told me the food was ready at the target time of 6:45 (food was hot when I received it). Well, where to begin! I ordered through GrubHub and was only 15 minutes away from the Wayback in Chalfont, PA. The food was delivered late and cold. You would think, since they are using GrubHub, They would, at least, use aluminum foil or a delivery warming bag for deliveries. But, no! Next, I ordered a hamburger, chicken sandwich and hot dog. The hamburger was, basically, tasteless. I had to doctor it, after reheating it, to make it tolerable. The hot dog was over cooked and tasteless, as well. The chicken sandwich fell into the same mold, tasteless and chewy. To summarize, if you don't live within 5 minutes of your Wayback, don't use a delivery service. It will be cold! The food is not worth the wait and there are so many other burger places that are better. Save your money and time! read more

My mom and I picked up burgers and fries from Wayback Burgers and we both really enjoyed the food. Mom ordered the Burger Chee Burger and I had the Rodeo Burger. Both burgers were excellent! The French fries are the type of fries you can eat on their own, without any condiments. It's a good thing the fries are tasty as-is, because Wayback Burgers does not give enough sauce. Maybe because we ordered online, but only one sauce is given per order of fries. We had 2 orders of fries with only one tiny side of dip. Other than that, food was good. We place large take-out orders from here pretty frequently, and the worker that always answers the phone and fills the order for us is fantastic. He always does what he can to make sure we have what we need, and shows the epitome of great customer service. We love their burgers, and have never had a bad meal from here.
