If you want lettuce, tomato, or pickle added to any burger, forget it. They won't do it and they "don't know why"... they would rather refund the money for our meal than just add a little tomato and lettuce. I'd have even been happy to pay extra. But they flat out said no. read more

Horrible experience from start to finish. The customer service is terrible--zero patience, zero professionalism, and a nasty attitude. A girl named Bree was extremely rude and disrespectful for no reason and acted like customers were a burden. The wait was mad long for no reason, and when I ordered a combo, they didn't even ask what drink I wanted. On top of that, the cheese bites were soggy and nasty, like they'd been sitting out forever. I see promos on tv all the time, but when I try to order an advertised special, the Johnson City DQ never has it on special! Extremely frustrating! Their hamburgers also leave a lot to be desired! You can get a better burger at one of the local Mexican restaurants! read more

We actually get our burgers/fries/drinks here regularly. I say "actually" because we have a lot of great restaurants here in Blanco. My husband wants Dairy Queen's hamburgers about once a week. I think they must have changed management within the last year or two because we used to have some issues with our burgers and backed off for a time. Now, we no longer have soggy burgers, and our fries are fresh and hot. Not to mention their drink machine is calibrated exactly right. read more

Every time we come here it's busy, and we notice it does take a bit longer to get our order. HOWEVER, I have to give credit to the staff who were definitely working hard! There was only 3 people working the whole place. I give them credit for their hard work and will continue to go and give them patience. read more

It's your average DQ in my opinion. Not too shabby, but not amazing. It had a kind of weird smell coming in and it took 15 mins for us to get our food, but the food itself was your average dairy queen food experience. read more

We stopped in to buy an ice cream. We got it pretty quickly after ordering it. The service was good, the store was clean and mostly quiet and pretty chill which is nice. I'd say tho, that they were a bit lean on the chocolate shell for my cone but it's fine otherwise. read more

Went last Sunday on the way back from San Antonio and the food was hot, fresh and the best I have had from a DQ in a long time

The steak finger baskets were nice and fresh! Everything on the plate was piping hot minus the fries. The wait was about 15 minutes, but not too bad. Staff was friendly and the restaurant was pretty clean. I wouldn't mind returning here for the future. They also have a self ordering station as well if you want to skip the line! read more

We went for shakes, and the pumpkin pie did not disappoint one bit! With a creamy and delicious texture and pumpkin flavor, and little crumbled bits of "crust." It was exactly what we wanted. And the drive thru gals were very friendly and fun! read more

D - Q That's what I like about Texas! That DQ sign is also known as a "Texas Stop Sign." We came in here for some lunch. Their drive through line was empty, so we rocked right through to the order board. Their speaker was busted, and I couldn't really hear what they had to say about anything without leaning waaay out the car window to hear them. Apparently, DQ wasn't ready for our two meals, so they made them fresh. The drive-thru clerk was enamored with the dogs in my back seat, and even brought out whipped cream in lids for the dogs to have something sweet. They were so nice about the dogs. Overall, the food wasn't too bad. It took about ten minutes to get our orders. I got chicken fingers, which seemed overcooked, heavily breaded, and served with a tub of warm white gravy, two pieces of Texas Toast, and some fries. It wasn't gourmet. There was plenty of parking at this DQ. It's right across from Blanco State Park! read more

Stopped here for a quick bite against my better judgment, Looked like the only place open ... ordered the grilled chicken sandwich combo... the food was a huge disappointment! The fries had been sitting around for awhile so I had them cook a new order which I believe they just threw already cooked fries in the oil and heated them up ... saturated with oil and not great . How hard is it to get a blizzard made correctly? I have waited for 6 months to leave this review in hopes the odds would get better. My blizzard is right maybe every 4th time we come here. I even double check before we leave the menu in the drive through - chocolate dipped strawberry blizzard. Sometimes they put Hersey syrup instead. Sometimes I have to tell them what goes in it. This last time, even though I told them at the window they forgot the chocolate all together, they still said they made it correct. If you order an Oreo blizzard, they can make that. If you want just strawberry, they can make that. But if you ask for a chocolate dipped strawberry blizzard, which is on the menu a couple of times of the year, they cannot make it apparently. read more

I waited 45 minutes to get two orders of steak fingers gravy and fries and two drinks and then pretty much had thrown at me and my girlfriend. The fries were so salty and the steak fingers were cold like still frozen it's like somebody came in and threw it in the microwave this is kind of the reason why the this chain of restaurants are dying read more

We went in on a Sunday around 3. The employees were too busy playing around in the kitchen, making loud animal noises and laughing loud. There were 4 tables of customers. One got a hamburger with no meat; my friends fries were not warm and it wasn't a whole order. Everyone behind us was upset and had some type of complaint. I know all about the issues with covid and not being able to find good employees. These kids were running off business right and left. We will not be back. read more

On June 6, 2023 at about 7:00, I was driving home, in Liberty Hill, from Six Flags Fiesta. I stopped at the Dairy Queen in Blanco, TX. I ordered my food and pulled forward. The person working at the window was asked to pull aside, then I was asked to pull aside. They helped a person that drove off, then served the first person who pulled aside and continued helping two others. I got out of my car and went in. I said "I've been sitting here for 30 minutes", I wasn't exaggerating. They asked me what I ordered. They then proceeded to start making the food. When I drove away and got down the road my daughter said they had put ketchup on her burger, she had asked for only pickles and mayonnaise, as ketchup makes her ill. (In which they said they can't put mayonnaise on that burger but would give me packets.) I happened to see another Dairy Queen down the road. I went in and asked if the owner there was the same as the one in Blanco, they said yes. I asked if the could make my daughter a different burger and showed them the whole burger. The guy at the counter understood but the lady in the back said that if I had a problem that I needed to drive back to the other Dairy Queen. I told her that im sure the owner would appreciate if that made things right and kept the customer happy. But she refused. read more

It has been 15 minutes and we are still waiting. Plenty of kids standing. Not enough doing. I asked where our order was and was promptly greeting with confusion. The girl working the register went back and asked the cook how much longer. "Still waiting on fries." I worked fast food as a kid at a truck stop on a major highway. Fries don't take 15 minutes. Bad experience. No greeting at the drive thru for 10 minutes, pulled up to the window and the two girls were in no hurry whatsoever. After waiting 5 mins we told them we haven't even ordered. 30 minutes later we got our order, 2 bacon cheeseburgers and 1 hunger buster. We got one bacon cheeeburger and the other two were plain and dry, no bacon or cheese. Really frustrating how you can mess up an order. Customer service is horrible now a days. Eating out in Blanco can be onset by unnerving desperation, and although we all know that Dairy Queens are as home base to small towns as churches are, this one is slow, slow, slow, and slow. High school kids work the place, which I find charming and true to a real portrait of small town America, but 30 minutes for a cheeseburger, take out, with the rest of the patrons staring into outer space, unpleasant. And then being 'placated' by a child manager who thinks he's clever.. is painful as it is claustrophobic. Only in a bind. Plus is, it's usually the place that will be open in Blanco when nothing else is. read more

If you're content with mediocre service, than this is the place for you. My husband and I have visited this Dairy Queen several times over the past few years. We've always been pleased with the ice cream and service. We had an unsatisfactory experience while visiting a few months ago. We had to wait in line a very long time and when we finally got our food, my ice cream was partially melted. We decided to give it another try and went there this evening. After waiting in line for at least 20 minutes, we paid for our food (M&M Blizzard and Medium Root Beer Float) were asked to park and our food would be brought to our car. 10 minutes later we got our ice cream. My root beer float tasted terrible. It was obvious it was sitting for a long while. Thankfully, my husband's Blizzard was fine. read more

I almost didn't stop in because of the reviews. The fries were fresh and the burger was great! I dined in at 11:00 and timed how long it took from swiping my card until the order came out to my table, 5 min and 2 sec. Friendly staff. The worker taking orders gladly helped an elderly woman who was having trouble figuring out the coffee dispenser. I once used to absolutely love this DQ when I would stop by Blanco, but soon realized that the management is absolutely horrible. When I was eating in the dinning area I constantly heard foul language being used by the employees, as well as the employees having such rude attitude. This is supposed to be a family restaurant isn't it? Also the bathrooms were not clean whatsoever, they looked like they were just swept and that was it. I've seen better from a gas station... I will no longer be returning to any DQ run from this management or the owner of this Dairy Queen. I have been to many other DQ's with MUCH better service, friendliness, and cleanliness.
