The staff often do not seem to know the menu, so what should be a quick two minute order turns into 15 minutes. Then when you pull up to the window, it takes another 10 minutes before anyone even comes over, followed by an additional 20 minutes to receive your food. We stopped by today after seeing the bluebonnets at Willow City Loop. I got the corn dog, tater tots, and onion rings. My husband got the fish sandwich and he enjoyed his food very much. We've stopped here twice on the way back from the lakehouse in Kingsland on the way back to San Antonio. The first time was later in the evening and the kids were "starving". Ordered some buffalo nuggets for my teenager. He bit into one and spit it out, saying it wasn't cooked. I said yeah, whatever, let me see it. I turned on the light and looked at it. Sure enough, it wasn't cooked... So we had to turn around and go back. I spoke to the manager and he handled it by refunding our entire order. OK. He dealt with it properly. Second stop was just this week on the way back from dropping said teenager off at camp near Spicewood. The younger kids wanted a snack, so we stopped for some beverages. Granted, it was fairly busy, but the 2 cars that pulled up next to us after we ordered got their orders and were on their way long before we got our order. It took just over 20 minutes to get a couple of blasts, a creme slush and a cherry limeade. Drinks were brought to us and had ice cream and flavoring all over the sides of 3 of the drinks. We asked for napkins to wipe them off. This my friends is a huge pet peeve of mine. Why would you ever give a beverage to a customer with funk all over the outside of the cup? Anyway, we wiped them off. The creme slush wasn't a creme slush, just regular, so we sent it back. Another few minutes and returned with the drink we ordered. We'll probably stop again since this is the only Sonic for miles, but if we experience the same service and food quality again, 3 strikes and you are out... Kids will have to "starve" until we get to 281 and 46 to try the Sonic there. read more

I pulled in off the hwy for a quick drink and back on the hwy. This location offers a drive thru option which I thought would be quicker. NOPE. After waiting a good 10 minutes in line I just gave up and pulled into a space and ordered my drink. 1/2 sweet and 1/2 unsweet Rt 44. Happy hour. Pretty simple. So I wait. I wait. I watch the bug man spray around and play with some traps. But I am still waiting. The girl finally comes out and offers no apologies for it taking so long. Anoyed I just pay for my drink, tell her to keep the change and continue on with my trip. I get about 20 miles down the road and take a big drink of tea to find it was NOT 1/2&1/2 and worse yet it was sour. For tea to sour tells me either the tea from the previous night was not dumped. The tea container was not properly cleaned or lastly no one is watching the product "danger zones" that anyone who works in food safety will tell you that not watching turns to people getting sick from bad food. read more

I really don't recommend this location to anyone. I have had issues with this location in the past that didn't get resolved but I thought that after 2years of avoiding this place that I would give it another try. So we pulled in to a stall ( there were only about 7-8 cars total at the sonic) and figured out what we wanted and we pushed the button and no nothing...so we waited and waited and waited and gave up and decided to go through the drive thru and there again we waited about 2 minutes and finally a lady says -"can you hold on I will be right with you" and then nothing else...so we drove off and I swear I will not give this sonic location another try ever!!!! read more

Horrible service. With 5 people ordering we were missing 3 main dishes. Very glad I checked before leaving. When I asked for the remainder of my items the server told me she would "check with the manager". The server took my receipt then 5 minutes later the manager came out and asked for the receipt. Waited another 10 minutes and was presented with the remaining items but 2 of the three were incorrect. After a 30 minute stop for "fast food" I left hungry and very unhappy. Sonic is our go to as a family. We are all huge fans of the menu, it offers something for everyone. It is typically quick and convenient as well. This location is in dire need of better management and staffing. The poor individuals responsible for running the food couldn't keep up leaving the good late and cold. Totally agree with "the worst sonic EVER"!! Sat at speaker over 18 minutes waiting to order!! Finally pulled up to window and waited another 7 minutes for anyone to acknowledge!! Once acknowledged was informed we needed to go to stall as drive up cuts off and on! Asked if we could order drinks and he shut window stating hold on! 2 minutes later another young man opened window and asked what drinks we wanted!! I stopped here yesterday for an order of French fires, mozzarella sticks and a few drinks. There was literally no one else in the parking lot just me and I was waiting for 30 mins for my small order. It's supposed to be pretty fast food and I'd understand waiting this long MAYBE if there were a lot of people but there were absolutely none ! Just me! They also don't seem to care about maintaining their drive though on account of there being a metal chair in the middle of the drive through in a parking space. The food here is never amazing actually I had a burger here so disgusting before I just threw it out my window on the highway, it wasn't worth the effort of getting another burger or even a refund, I didn't wanna sit in the lot for an hour. The only reason I'm not giving this location 1 star is because at least when one of the employees came out she was polite. While leaving my hometown, I decided to, against my better judgement(based on Facebook comments from friends) to stop in and get a simple Master shake. I was in the drive-thru and the only car in line, so I did not see a reason to shut my car off. At first. But I actually had time to shut the car off, make a phone call, before my shake was presented to me. I had passed HWY 32 south of town when I felt that horrible unmistakeable feeling of swallowing a hair. Due to time constraint, I did not turn around and go back, but at the next traffic light I investigated further. Multiple dark hairs in my shake. I proceeded to call the store( still in my address book from previous experiences), and was informed by the person claiming to be the manager, and the one who made and delivered my shake to me. "Oh, I remember you, you're the one with the shake I made." I advised her that is was not just one hair, but multiple hairs, and that I was not wanting any coupons, nor did I have the time to come back to the store. She promised she would address the issue.(What, you're really going to have a meeting with yourself?) Asked for my information so she could send me coupons to make up for this. (Coupons for food I have to ask "hold the hair?") I asked for the owner's name. I got title to a Reba song "She thinks his name is John"...and didn't know his number. I advised her, based on my experience and my hometown friends comments, she might want to learn and memorize his full name and phone number. I haven't been able to get that information yet. For those that have stopped in this location, let me apologize, not on behalf of the management, but Blanco. This is sub-standard treatment, service, and food, and most of us won't do business with them. I was just trying to give the 'new' management a chance to prove themselves better than previous managers. We were all excited when we learned a Sonic was going in. Now I'm embarrassed that our guests to Blanco have to experience this. read more

This sonic took 50 min to serve me. The only reason I stayed was because I had already ordered. I would rather drink toilet water than have to go back there again. The reason it took so long is because the one lady there kept serving people in front of me. I seriously recommend any restaurant over this.
