I stopped in quickly for an ice coffee. The service was quick and efficient, but the iced coffee was just okay. Not the best I have ever had, but it was priced very well. With that, they have a spacious shop with plenty of seating in the back areas and wifi. I said I would go back soon to complete some work there and actually try some of the many sandwiches they have on their menu.

I tried this spot again, and I wasn't disappointed. During this visit, my dog was offered a pup cup, which was a sweet gesture, especially since I was told they didn't have pup cups during my last visit. A great alternative coffee shop, though they are on the pricier side, so definitely not a daily visit.

Loved the exposed brick and archways which I believe is the original architectural design. The service was polite and efficient. I got the lox and jalapeños bagel and it was amazing. Normally with lox it goes with an everything bagel but the recommendation of the jalapeño was perfect. I would definitely recommend.

Iced Coffee $4.25

I came here on a Wednesday early afternoon, and it was not crowded. In fact there was only one other person working on their computer. I got a Cortado ($3.75), which is what I usually get from Starbucks except when I received my drink, it was lukewarm. This is before I even added the milk. Personally that's a huge pet peeve for me when my HOT coffee is not hot. The ice coffee ($4.25) was good. It had good coconut flavor. However, the lid did not fit on the coffee cup. It kept snapping off. I also got the Crispy Italiano sandwich which had pepperoni, ham, roasted red peppers, provolone, and onion on a sliced baguette. The sandwich was listed as $8.95, but she rang it up as $10.95 and charged me two extra dollars for bacon which I never asked for. I told her I don't want bacon in my sandwich but she said that it doesn't have bacon that's just how it rings up. It wasn't until the manager had to step in and put in the custom amount for my sandwich. When I did get my sandwich the bread was pretty stale and hard to eat. I also noticed that the onions were chopped up imperfectly (all different sizes). I also got the Chipotle Chicken Avocado ($9.95). It came out pretty messy with the avocado smeared everywhere. Literally the whole sandwich was falling apart (see picture). While the interior is nice, the coffee and food just did not do it for me. The bathrooms were clean, except for the fact that the hand soap was completely watered down. Not sure if I would come back here again.

Seating area overlooking water

I only had the chai latte with oat milk. It was very flavorful, not watery at all. The best chair latte I've had in a long time. The sitting area is spacious and clean. Service was pretty quick, we went very early so no one else was there yet.

Friendly staff! Amazing coffee - I got the Ferraro Rocher latte! It wasn't too sweet & definitely could taste the espresso. My friend also got their early grey iced tea which was also delicious and refreshing.

Fantastic service two days in a row with fabulous breakfast fare for all of us. Allow me to recap! Day one was just me and my husband who were thankful for somewhere opened on Thanksgiving morning for coffee and breakfast. We both enjoyed a dirty chai - delicious! I had Jewish rye toast with one of the best homemade hummus sides ever. My husband scarfed down his everything bagel egg & cheese breakfast sandwich. The prices are so fair. The food so excellent. The service so quick and friendly. Day two we had six of us and everyone LOVED their food. From croissant breakfast sandwiches to bagel sandwiches.

Good service and decent coffee. Pastries and food are mediocre at best. All of the pastries we ordered seemed to be slightly stale and hard. The sandwiches were okay. Good if you're in a pinch, way more on the casual side.

Iced Matcha Latte

Got iced matcha latte and iced shaken espresso within a span of a week to study. Matcha latte didn't have enough matcha for my taste so it mainly tasted like milk. Iced shaken espresso was not sweet so I got what I ordered- it was balanced well. Both times were in the afternoon during the week. I liked that it was spacious with not busy crowd. However, when people talk, you can hear them as the voice echos and travels to different nooks of the shop. It is a great social space but not the best studying spot (unless you can tune out very well).

Great americano. I didn't know there was an inside cafe space so I hung out outside at the table to people watch. I also saw a door with outside service and a menu so I assumed I could order there or at least get my take out coffee there. I ordered online and got my order quick. I figured out there was a door to go inside and I picked up my coffee. They serve food which I will have to try another time. I like the ambience inside and it's a lot bigger than I expected inside.

The Daily Grind is a small local chain in Baltimore, and their location in Fells Point is one of my favorites to go to! The ambiance is really relaxed inside; there's a small indoor courtyard in the middle of the restaurant which is airy and scattered with a few plants in the window sills. It's a lovely place to catch up with a friend or go on a casual date, and especially works well to cowork, as they have a stable internet connection here. I ordered the egg and cheese bagel on multigrain, and the Ferrero rocher espresso with almond milk. I have ordered the espresso a few times, and it never disappoints. The Bagel was plain but tasty; I was able to get a full breakfast for about $10, which is a good deal around Fells. I have tried their turkey sandwich before on rosemary bread, which I wouldn't necessarily recommend (there was no mayo or toppings on it which made it dry). The servers here are usually pretty chill, sometimes seem a little indifferent, but their service is still good. Overall, if you're in the area, I'd recommend checking it out.

Shop is across the street from Pitango, if you've been there. Shockingly large inside, and has a deep walkway past the counter, extending to a lot of seating options. Great spot for coworking, however, your back may hurt from sitting in hard wooden chairs for a while. Nothing bad to say about the front register service- I ordered a banana nut muffin, a java chip blended coffee with a pump of caramel, and a bacon egg and cheese on a blueberry bagel with strawberry jelly. The sandwich came out relatively fast, and PIPING hot. Love the fresh vibe from food that has steam riding from it, being fresh off the griddle. Good size, the cheese was melted, and the bacon was in smaller, bite size pieces. 10/10. Be advised, the jelly is an extra $1. The muffin was super moist, and had a fresh banana twang that could only be achieved from baking it fresh, which i appreciated. Healthy amount of nuts. 10/10. Be advised, it's so moist that if you try to piece it apart, your fingers will be messy. The blended coffee was good. The extra pump of caramel really staved off the watery taste that you usually receive with blended drinks. Props to them, as even towards the end of the drink, it was still palatable. 8.5/10

Daily Grindin'! I tried to hit up a few different coffee spots while in Baltimore, my travels led me to Daily Grind. Walking in, very very old school with brick walls and wooden floors, Daily Grind gives a Williamsburg Brooklyn vibe. I see lots of cakes and baked goods wrapped in cellophane on the shelves. Kind of a turn off for me to see anything wrapped in plastic. However! I do see a Latte Breve as a choice, a breve is made with half & half instead of regular milk. And to me, that makes for one creamy, steamy and outright dreamy latte! I'm glad I swung in, great latte before hitting my daily grind.

wow, this coffee shop is absolutely unbelievably amazing. I can't recommend it enough! While, I…read morehave yet to have any of their food selections, the coffee is easily the best I've had in the entire DMV. It's a nice coffee shop with tables that you could easily bring your computer to and the people are extremely kind. So it's a great environment for individual work or small meetings. As someone born and raised in Seattle, we take our coffee very seriously. Despite the fact, Starbucks was started there, we all despise it and prefer the smaller coffee shops. I say this to emphasize that I take my coffee and the quality and flavors very seriously. This place is well worth your time, even if it means going out of your way!!!

They offer some really creative drinks, and sometimes the flavors are a little too bold for my taste, especially when they mix things like juice into an espresso latte. But their holiday seasonal drinks get me every single time. We have tried the "Over the River and Through the Woods," the hot chocolate, the cinnamon crunch latte, and the mistletoe toasted marshmallow, and I have enjoyed all of them! I also appreciate that their hours are longer, which makes it a great spot to get work done. I will say the seating is not the most comfortable if you are in the booth with the wooden seats, but it still works when you need a change of scenery. The food has been hit or miss for me, but recently it has been more of a hit. I am still wanting to try something from their pastry bin because everything in there looks phenomenal! Looking especially at the sweet potato pastry! Overall, I think this place works well if you know what you are coming in for. The drinks are good, the atmosphere is solid, and the location right by the water makes it even better.

Matriarch Coffee lived up to every bit of the hype -- and then some…read more I'd been hearing about Matriarch Coffee for a while from friends near me in the DMV, and I finally made the drive up to Baltimore to see what all the hype was about. Short answer: absolutely worth it!Long answer: I'm already thinking about my next excuse to come back. Walking in, the space immediately delivers. The aesthetic is awesome-- the kind of intentional, beautifully designed interior that feels warm and curated rather than staged. It's trendy without being cold, and the Inner Harbor location makes it that much more special. I know there is a huge renovation planned "down the harbor" , this Matriarch is ALREADY READY! You get all the energy of the waterfront with a cozy, tucked-in feel once you're inside. Now, the coffee. I got a latte that was genuinely one of the better cups I've had in a long time -- smooth, rich, perfectly pulled. I also had a Chai and paired it with a cherry & cheese danish that was fresh and delicious, the ideal complement to the drink. I asked for it heated and it was hot all the way through. Hate it when I get it and it is cold in the middle...the barista understood the assignment and got us right! Everything felt thoughtful, like someone in that kitchen actually cares about what they're putting out -- because they do. Speaking of which -- I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, and it all made sense. Warm, passionate, and clearly proud of what they've built. Shirts, cups, napkins, and merch that says "I love my Matriarch" is a reminder of the "Why" behind this spot I think. That kind of energy flows through the entire space and staff. You feel it the moment you walk in. The Matriarch isn't just a coffee shop. It's a destination. If you're in Baltimore, this is a must. If you're outside the city -- make the drive. Trust me. See you soon, Matriarch!

We had the matcha latte, and a menu special: solar eclipse which was chai with expresso macadamia nut milk and lavender syrup. Matcha was good flavor and quality. The drink special I pass, I gave it a fair try but it didn't taste good- there was a very acidic taste at the end. My first time in was after calling to see if they had gift cards, went without an answer . So I went there and nope. Waisted my time going there.
