I had been eyeing this place for a bit and finally got around to trying it out. Lately I've been getting a hot crème brûlée latee with oat milk & a toasted marshmallow on top. So yummy. Service was good including the prep time of the drink, the overall cafe space is also nice but one thing that I wasn't to pleased about was that it appeared that the owners/family members were also in the lobby talking amongst themselves and were quite loud, that ruined the overall vibe of the place so that's why only 4 stars. Based on the menu, I really thought that matcha is what they'd specialize in, but it was a a bit disappointing because it lacked that strong matcha taste in all the drinks. Visited for the first tine today and ordered the seasonal special: Pumpkin Spice Cream Latte. The drink was excellent and I would order it again. I liked how the pumpkin cream foam was extra thick. The pumpkin spice syrup also had a really good flavor - just enough pumpkin spice, but not too overpowering. The cons: (1) WiFi was not working; there was a sign with the WiFi name and password, but when searching available WiFi networks, it was nowhere to be found (2) Two smoke alarms were beeping constantly the entire time and could be heard throughout the seating area and entire place; 1 was definitely in the bathroom and the other sounded like it was in the back kitchen area (I assume the batteries simply need to be replaced). I got the lavender white chocolate which I'd give a 3/5. It was good and had real lavender pieces but it was extremely sweet. I'd go down to 70% next time. The interior decor was extremely cute, not too minimal and had some spots of bright color which I think suits the brunch aesthetic. The music is a tad loud. There's not too many seats indoor or outdoor so if you come during rush hour you'd probably have trouble finding a spot. We got their matcha misu and banana cream matcha latte. I was iffy on the matcha misu at first but I ended up liking it more as I kept drinking it. Make sure you just eat the cookie first because mine fell in my drink and became a soggy mess later. The banana cream latte kind of just tasted like banana milk, you couldn't really taste the matcha at all. They also have a matcha brûlée toast that looked really good but I didn't try it. There's limited seating inside but it does look pretty vibey. There's not that many outlets though so I probably wouldn't study here again. The cafe is small and quaint, parking is a little tricky when the lot is full. It was busy the time we went and we waited quite a bit for our drinks and French Toast. We arrived around 9:00am and attempted to order at about 9:05am. The barista told us to wait 20 minutes because the hot chocolate "wasn't ready." All three of us wanted to try the hot chocolate, so we said no problem and decided to wait, holding off on ordering food as well. Twenty minutes later, after watching her serve roughly 20 other customers, we got back in line to order. At that point, she told us the hot chocolate still wasn't ready and that she was "about to add sugar," so we would need to wait even longer. We mentioned that we were students and asked about the student discount that's clearly displayed at the front. She said no since we didn't have our student IDs, which is understandable. We then asked if there was any way to receive a discount considering we had already waited about 45 minutes just to place an order. She declined. At that point, the customer service was pretty disappointing. She finally took our order for three hot chocolates. We didn't order any food anymore because of how long everything was taking and the lack of communication. After nearly an hour total, we noticed what looked like an Uber grocery delivery bringing in multiple heavy creams in grocery bags. It became clear they were likely out of ingredients. If that had been communicated from the beginning, we would have happily ordered something else instead of being told repeatedly that it "wasn't ready" or just needed sugar. The hot chocolate itself was good, but waiting an hour with minimal communication and no effort to make the situation right really took away from the experience. Honestly when we showed up the lady in the pink jacket was really rude and since me and my friends were the only ones there she told us it would take 2-5 mins for our order but instead it took 30 mins before she even started making our food. And she only started once we asked her about our food and I paid for a crepe with sugar,caramel, berries, and strawberries which I was charged extra for everything added but when I got to the car I checked and my crepe only had caramel sauce on it and nothing else. The food was really cold like it had been sitting there or wasn't fully cooked. Then when she gave it to me she threw it at me with the silverware and then went to the back. On top of that my friend didn't even get the food she paid $40 in total for and she kept lying about the time and then offered a crepe that was $8 instead of the French toast she paid $20 for and we didn't even get the crepe. At first, I wasn't sure what to expect coconut and cheese in a latte? But it totally works and the owner is so sweet!!!! The coconut flavor is smooth and creamy and it's not overpowering, just a nice hint of saltiness that keeps it from being too sweet. If you're thinking of trying I would highly recommend ! Two people in line in front of me. Waited for 20 minutes for a cappuccino and 35 minutes for a breakfast plate. By the time my food arrives the coffee was ice cold. Wasn't even busy. The cappuccino was very milky and I could barely taste any coffee flavor. Very poor overall. The food is not bad actually if it was food alone it's a 3.5/5. One note on the food: if you serve two large avocado toasts for $15 don't be cheap - put an egg on both toasts! But the timing is horrible. The staff was quite friendly and helpful. The inside is very cute and well thought out in their design. There is a nice little front porch to sit on as well. I got the coconut cheese foam latte with oat milk hot 25% sweet. If I approach the drink as a sweet treat, it is quite good. However, it does not have enough caffeine for my daily jolt. I asked about the amount of espresso in a latte. The medium has one shot and the large has two shots. For the price, I find that to be not a lot of coffee at all. I was just grabbing a coffee to go, but they have savory and sweet crêpe and brioche options. Ive always been a skeptic when it comes of IG food influencers because they're typically paid for doing the promotion and a lot of times I feel that the store gives them better quality products to base their review on. Nonetheless, I wanted to like the place so I tried it myself. It didn't feel welcoming. When I came in, there were about 5 people crammed into that small kitchen and bar of theirs behind the counter and all of them were turned around so no one greeted me as I stood at the counter. Once someone finally came to the counter, it irritated me so much that i'm first to say hi and they were silently staring at me waiting for me to order. I call this the customer customer servicing the business, it's one of my pet peeves. I ordered the banana cream matcha and one other drink. it was about $19 for two drinks, which i think is really expensive. I saw and waited for my drinks which took about 20 minutes to come out. The banana cream matcha looked nothing like the picture/video i saw online. in the influencer video, the drink had a brûlée top and the matcha tea itself was significantly darker and looked more concentrated than my drink in real life. Once I mixed my drink, it became a super super pale green. It so milky and had zero matcha flavor profile. It was basically banana milk, which in itself had an artificial banana extra flavor, no a fresh banana purée like lalaland's. It was a 1/10 for me. Overall, I did not enjoy my visit. The parking lot is tight so beware of potentially getting your car dinged by others trying to come and go. read more
