I go here a lot and this place has amazing food and really nice owners and people that work there. The I have tried baklava all over miami and this place has the best Baklava in Miami. I always get the gyro Greek salad and the lamb is really good. I have gotten the grape leaves too and they are really good! I could eat this every day. read more

METAL WIRE IN MY FALAFEL! I don't like to leave negative reviews but this place definitely deserves it after my experience today. Ordered the stuffed cabbage with a side of falafel and rice. Never mind that they microwaved the the cabbage in front of us, and that my husband's sweet potato was raw. The real shocker came when I went to bite my send piece of falafel and out of curiosity and luck I pulled what appeared to be a piece of parsley but turned out to be a piece of metal wire about 1 inch long! Thank goodness my son didn't like the first bite or he could have bitten down on it. When we showed it to the server she said oh that's parsley and when we pulled it out and she actually touched it they didn't seem phased at all. My replacement falafel was cold and there was no apology or sincere surprise at us finding a piece of wire that could have certainly made some damage in my mouth or my kid's. read more

Love it! I don't know how they do it but it's the best re-heated food I've ever had. I'm always amazed that they just pop it into the microwave and the flavor is still so good and fresh tasting. They prepare everything in front of you. Everythings good find your favorite. Mines the gyro, the hubby's is the falafel. And the red pepper hummus is divine as well as this really really hot pepper sauce that they will give you on the side, just ask! Otherwise, I'm sure one time or another they will offer. I eat here all the time seeing as I work in the mall. It has really good, fresh food. Unlike the other food court options, it's not laden with grease and breading. That bek g saud, they have the BEST french fries in the food court (tied with CHikfila). They have great hummus and tabbouleh as well as a chickpea salad and a mixed veggie. I usually get the chicken platter with veggies and hummus but I switch it up. The gyro is amazing. Something serious hides inside their tzatziki sauce. Ask for dressing on the side when your order a Greek salads as it can be rather sour and for me dirsnt need the dressing. occasionally theyll being in a new item off the menu and its never dissapointed. The food here is wonderful, fresh and healthy. Staff is polite. My ONE HUGE COMPLAINT is their disgusting amount of styrofoam use. They use an un-godly and unnecessary amount!! Myself and others have complained to the owner and I don't think they listen. This doesn't stop me from eating here, but they would get FIVE STARS in my book if they became a little more environmentally conscious. And I would probably get takeout once a week instead of once in a blue moon. And yes, management, I would pay more. read more

Hidden gem. Really good food, nice portions and good prices. However, don't go with anyone that expects a special atmosphere, this is more of a fast food joint. As with many middle-Eastern restaurants, the Daily Bread has there own"style and approach" to their food. That said, it's an approach of fresh and personal recipes that excite the taste-buds. Their hummus, tahini, hot sauce, tabouli, and basically all veggies are fresh and delicious. Their falafel, Gyro, Schwarma, and all the other standards are great! If it's your first time go easy on the hot sauce, it's the real thing. Also has a small grocery for fresh olives and many other foods. A true neighborhood gem. read more

I was so excited to eat some good Greek food finally only to end up so disappointed. I order the gyro platter and a greek salad; the spanish girl behind the counter was extremely rude and when I asked her about the olives for the greek salad she then told me they were out and mumbled under her breath "what do you want me to do" i quickly replied that I did not want the salad anymore. This is one of the places I visit regularly for lunch. It's a cafeteria type of eatery, so if you don't mind standing in line to order and eating out of plastics plates and with plastic cutlery then keep on reading. Today I had the falafel platter and the baklava for dessert. The platter was very tasty, the tabbouleh salad was fresh and did not overpower the other flavors on the platter. The humus was also fresh and creamy, the pita bread looks and taste like homemade pita and is not dehydrated like the pita you would get from a supermarket. Now for the dessert. The baklava was amazing the crust was very flaky and the cream cheese tasted fresh. Overall a very nice lunch for the price. I took a star off because the place tends to get really crowed during lunch time. By the way this is also a middle eastern market place so you can buy ingredients to make the stuff at home. So if you are into middle eastern food, give this place a try. read more

This place used to be very good 4-5 years ago but their food and service have declined significantly. They usually heat up the meat and the bread in a microwave right in front of you and they charge you for the basic stuff like extra tahini sauce. Food is cooked before and is sitting behind their counter an when you order it they just zap your chicken or meat in the microwave to heat it up. Why do I want to go and get something not fresh and pay close to $11 for a platter. I got the chicken platter and the meat had no flavor an was tough and cold in the center even after microwaving it. Also the other meat on display was their gyro that had been previously shaved off and put behind the counter. It looked all dried up and old. I love middle eastern food and have tried plenty other places and know what's good tasting and fresh. Went to lunch here with hubby...yum. The falafel pita sandwich with cabbage , tahini and a little hot sauce was delicious. It's a clean, casual place for eats in a little strip mall and is a market as well. They carry both dry and frozen food items. If you want a Mid Eastern food item, this is the place. We bought the spinach pastries to-go and though, IMHO, they needed a tad more lemon, the pastry itself was the perfect thickness. I wanted to give Daily Bread a 3 1/2 star rating because a couple of the gals at the register seemed to need a high colonic but generosity won out. read more

This is a tough one to rate. It is so close to my work so I ind myself there a lot but when i think about the falafel's compared to maoz (in boca - very very very far from my work) or pita loca on south beach (also very far from my work - the falafel's dont even compare. yet somehow the sandwich as a whole is pretty good. you can add hummus, tabouli, onion, cabbage, tomato,tabouli, hot sauce and feta cheese - maybe a couple more things too. i always get the falafel with hummus, hot sauce, tabouli, onions and tomato and a bit of tahini. somehow despite the kinda dryness of the falafels the thing tastes great. the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. they also have these spinach feta thingys that are good and they just started carrying samoas. i would have to say if i didnt work so close i would probably not make it here very often. so after all that im going with 3.5 stars. read more

I had a Gyro Platter with fries. Good quality, very clean place, food was awesome. The people that served us were very nice and helpful. I tried part of my Dad's falafel, it was pretty good and the taste was very interesting. My parents had couscous, Greek salad and chicken. They said that it was very good. We also had dessert, I had a chocolate covered marshmallow on a wafer cookie. My parents had a pistachio pastry and my Dad had Turkish coffee. It was all extremely delicious. If you're ever in Pinecrest you should definitely stop here and enjoy a great lunch. read more

I really enjoy eating at the Daily Bread Restaurant. You order at the counter and their staff is always very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The food is always fresh and tastes great too. This place offers a great selection of sandwiches, (chicken, gyro's kafta, among others) with your choices of olives, feta cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, onions, cabbage, hot sauce, tabbouleh. You get a choice of plain or whole wheat pita for your sandwiches. I recommend trying the chicken platter ( deliciously marinated chicken breast with 2 sides + salad and pita bread) . Their hummus and babaganoush (sp??) are awesome. Many petite desserts to chose from but I love the sweet cheese baklava. Their prices are reasonable. Just say Yes. We ordered the falafel platter with tabouli, hummus, pink cabbage salad, and pita bread. We just said Yes to all the offered sauces and additions (except the onions - - we had black olives instead for 75 cents more). What a deliciously light fresh taste everything had - - we were worried about the tabouli based on some other reviews but they seem to have gone back to the original recipe. The tabouli and hummus were fluffy, slightly lemony, spiced just right - - best I've ever had in a restaurant. The falafel was crunchy on the outside, soft and tastey on the inside, again, the best I've had in the US. The pink cabbage salad (can't remember what it was called) was wonderful, delicate and fresh tasting. The portions were generous. It was counter service only but the seating included booths that were clean and the atmosphere was pleasant. It was busy but not overcrowded when we were there (4 pm) and you can't beat the prices. I love this place! On my day off I always go there. I know how hard this food is to make. It's like homemade.

The service at this place stinks. Specifically there is a fat girl who has worked there for years, who is very rude and bitter all the time. Every time I go, I dread having her take my order as I know it will be an unpleasant ordeal. I used to tolerate it because the food was so good but over the last year the food has gotten worse and worse. They no longer offer Shawarma and they no longer make the sandwiches with pitas instead they use a sort of flat bread. They put Tzatziki sauce and if you ask for tahini you get an attitude and more bad service. If you ask for olive oil for your hummus you get attitude. Never mind that it should come with olive oil by default. If you ask for a side of tahini for your kibbe again you get dirty looks and attitude. I have been a customer for over 10 years but honestly I no longer go. It is a shame because the Daily Bread was my favorite middle eastern market. read more
