So, first of all, the staff is super friendly and attentive, they make you feel right at home and answer any questions you have. I had the gyro platter. All platters come with two sides and a choice of rice or salad. I chose the salad, hummus and tabbouleh. The gyro was topped with tzatziki sauce which was just perfect inside of my whole wheat pita! The tabbouleh, on the other hand,was not my fave since it had mint (I'm not used to that) but it was not bad, still very fresh. The hummus was the best I've ever had. Period. I used to love this place - until I discovered Mediterranean markets just like it that will cook your food when you order it. At the daily bread, falafel is made ahead of time and microwaved when you order it. They do have good Spanekopita, but it is best to get there when it comes out of the oven at around 11 am cause those too will be microwaved. The final straw came when my bf and I split a sandwich and both became violently ill within an hour of consumption. Good to buy products for cooking at home but there are better Mediterranean restaurants with good, cheap food. read more

Daily Bread is amazing! I was never really a huge fan of Mediterranean food until I tried out Daily Bread. All of their dishes look amazing, and everything I have tried out so far I haven't been disappointed yet. Usually I order the Kafta Platter, which I stumbled upon thinking it was a platter of beef and lamb as described on their menu. It was a little misleading since I got the beef and lamb in a sausage form, but I was extremely pleased with the meal. The platters are customized to your tastes and can be ordered along with many healthy and delicious sides. I suggest the tobouli to anyone on the fence of what to order as a side. The service has been great every time. Everyone is very nice and willing to answer any questions that you may have about the menu. Lord knows I was extremely confused with the names on the menu mainly because I wasn't too big on Mediterranean cuisine. Fortunately, the staff helped me through the order with no difficulties and I was able to order something I enjoyed. Another interesting aspect of Daily Bread is their marketplace. Most of the store contains a bunch of interesting products from different parts of the world. Ingredients, drinks, snacks, and other cool products line the shelves which makes it a nice location to browse of the line gets a little too crazy. Got the falafel with tabuolli hummus and Baba ganouj. It was quite good. Not the best I've ever had but best easily the best in Miami. The falafel was good enough that I will be coming back regularly. Service was courteous and relatively quick, nothing to complain about. The baklava was quite good and made a great end to the meal. Yum, yum, yum!! Me and the work gals were bored with the same old, same old in our Dadeland lunch spots and all wanted something different. We all, coincidentally, had a craving for Greek. One of us remembered someone mentioing this place, and I am so glad we went. The food was delicious and like the Greek food you get up north in authentic Greek communities (see Chicago!). We each had the gyro (that's pronounced HERO!!!) platter; two of us had the babaganoush and hummus side and the third had the hummus with rice. Each of the platters came with pitas and a side salad--including yummy pickled cabage. My lamb/meat was so tender and delicious! The babaganoush was the perfect consistency as it can sometimes be too creamy. I will definitely go here again. I love that they also had a market and one of the ladies got a package of the meat pies to go. My only gripe is that it was counter service--which actually probably saved us money and time--but I was just in a princess mood and wanted to be waited on. Just a tiny gripe! read more

I enjoyed eating here quite a bit as I am a big fan of their Chicken platter. The food is overall very good and I've enjoyed it whenever I've gone. HOWEVER the customer service from the ladies that work there is horrible. They are just so rude. Although I did enjoy the food very much, I no longer eat here due to their rude behavior towards customers on more than one occasion. For example, the store does not close until 9pm but the ladies refused to serve me food even though I got there at 8:45pm. I also saw them turn away other individuals as well on multiple occasions. Being half Lebanese, the daily bread was a staple in my house growing up whether it be for the fresh pita or spinach and meat pies. Historically more of a small market that serves food, recent renovations have made the restaurant portion more of a highlight. The food is usually fresh and delicious and the Tahini sauce they use makes anything they serve taste all the better. Im not really sure when it happened, but the portions over the years have become smaller and the prices have increased. I'm not sure if being nestled in the middle of Pinecrest has anything to do with it, but I have been dissapointed more often than not lately. Because there aren't many places to get my Lebanese food fix on, I suck it up when a craving for some good Kibbeh comes on, but I wish it didn't cost so much to quench. read more

Daily Bread is a perfect combination of tasty food, friendly staff, and all-around good Middle Eastern food. 1) Make sure you try their version of the "Chop Chop" - it's way better, and instead of mustard curry, they use tahini. 2) Buy humus, and take it home. Based on the reviews on yelp for Daily Bread I was hoping my search would come to an end. Well, what a disappointment this place is. I ordered one of their specials today - marinated beef with peppers and onions, rice, tzatziki sauce, and grilled or roasted vegetable salad. Everything besides the sauce was so oily!!! I always go for their falafel platter or falafel chop chop. Yes their falafels cannot technically be called "fresh" because most of the time they have been precooked and cooled down so they nuke them in the microwave. This is a bit unsettling but in all honesty they are delicious. Sometimes I get there for late lunch so the falafel are fresh but that's not always. OMG THIS PLACE IS HEAVEN ON EARTH!!! I ate here for lunch today because I'm always going to the one in the Dadeland mall food court, figuered I should try this one as well and i must say WOW! I loved everything i ordered. I actually ordered a lot of food and i ate all of it!!! I had the combo chicken gyro meat with rice and humus. Everything was great. I also ordered 2 grape leaves wrapped (with meat) and a little dessert as well. I have fallen in love with this place. This is a cool family owned business that has been recently renovated. They have expanded the market/restaurant area to include a coffee bar. If I am not mistaken, they have wi-fi too! The food is incredibly delicious. So far, the gyro and the spinach pie have been the tastiest things I have had there. Living in NYC we frequently enjoyed Greek food from all the wonderful choices of food trucks and small store fronts. We hadn't found a go to spot yet in Miami and today it seems the search is over! A short 5-10 minute drive from our home is this market / restaurant with authentic homemade specialities including falafel, chicken gyro, grape leaves, baba ganoush, Hummus, and baklava (to name a short few!). I'd recommend doing takeout or lunch as the ambiance is super causal and more of a market / hot bar inside. This was my first time stopping by and I had read other reviews giving it high praises so I was looking forward to some really good middle eastern food. I ended up getting a chicken platter served on a bed of rice with lettuce, pickled cabbage and cucumber, tomato salad. I must say that I enjoyed it and would come again but if I must be critical I have to critique them for zapping the chicken to warm it up and using medium grain rice instead of Basmati rice. When it comes to middle eastern food Basmati is a must! It's like having flank steak and saying it is a good as an earring an aged churrasco. The maker side of it is nice and clean with a good selection of products and not over priced. When I am in the area again I will stop by again and try something else but it's hard for me not to be picky when for the past 12 yrs I have had my lovely mother-in-law cook some of the finest Lebanese food you will ever try.
