I gave them a little extra because I like it when AYCE places trust you to not share food with non-AYCE customers. Even though, I would not go here if I was a regular customer. The rice portion is pretty high for the price otherwise. All the fish actually had pleasant flavor to it but everything was pretty meh, considering. Sinces it's $25, it's whatever. The chicken kaarage isn't it though. Do not get that, wayyyyy too powdery. The place is clean though. The service could be better but its friendly enough.

Value for money, but lots of rice!!! You fill up on just 2-3 orders, so be careful when ordering. I would honestly prefer they charge more and give a more reasonable rice portion. The agedashi tori was my favorite. I will get multiple orders of that next time. This is a family owned business and they are very nice. Looking forward to supporting them again.

I have a love and slight dislike relationship with this place. The value is amazing, the sushi is super fresh, and often I get rolls I never ordered. I've learned to photo the menu before they take it away, because it's the only way I know to show them they are pushing rolls on me I didn't order (they charge for uneaten rolls, rightly as they are preventing food waste). In the photos, you can see I asked for the threesome roll (listed as tuna, unagi, avocado, salmon) without tuna. They made the roll with whitefish, and never gave me my fried tofu. I told them I don't eat whitefish, and they said "why don't you try it?" Why is there a menu if you are expected to just eat any and everything they want to place in front of you? They also put sauce on top of my Hamachi roll, and it usually doesn't come with sauce. The food quality is top notch, super fresh! I love how tasty the Unagi is without being old or overdone. Though the price has climbed one dollar every year over the last 3 years (now $24.95 for lunch), the value for this AYCE buffet is still absolutely worth it. They aren't known for swift (if ever) water refills, so bringing a metal water bottle might not be a bad idea. I recommend taking a photo of your menu with your order before letting them take it away. You'll be glad you did!

ONLY RATING THE LUNCH SPECIAL AYCE $23.95! This rating is only for the lunch special AYCE for $23.95! Service was subpar. It was kind of hard to flag someone down as it seems they focus more on prepping for DoorDash orders. We only did 2 rounds because they overload the rolls and nigiri's with rice while stating on their menu don't waste rice. The sashimi to rice ratio is very little. More rice than the fish. Like the others said, don't expect great sushi for the price! The tempura appetizer had so many random veggies. It felt like mostly carrots on this with hella batter. The lion king was half warm half cold, probably didn't bake it enough to fully warm up the roll. You can tell from the salmon nigiri the color isn't good. The unagi nigiri was a very thin slice of unagi over a huge bed of rice. The tuna and the salmon were fishy in a bad way. It felt like it was old fish Like everyone else said, the parking is limited and you'll have to park a good block down as it's surrounded by 20 min parking due to the car shops. I probably wouldn't go here again and rather pay $10 more for the lunch special AYCE deal at ultra sushi.

AYCE sushi?? $23.95!! So no more... but wait, was it good? Well... it is only $23.95, which is unheard of in 2025! I mean one roll basically costs you $15 so if you eat at least 2 rolls, it was worth it, right? Just don't expect high quality fish. Although it isn't bad either, not like supermarket sushi bad! And if nothing else, the karaage was good. Daiki Sushi is kind of small and not a lot of people were dining here at 2pm on a Saturday. Each person can place up to 3 items on their order at a time and we didn't have to wait for our orders. The one thing I didn't like was everything comes to you randomly so you're not sure what roll you're getting. I also think they got a few things mixed up with our order, as in we ordered some things but they didn't come or we had a roll substituted but we weren't totally sure because they don't tell you what you're getting when they bring the order out. There were a lot of options but none of the rolls really stood out. The fried rolls were terrible so definitely DO NOT get any fried rolls. Hand rolls also tasted very plain so I wouldn't suggest those either. Overall, we were pretty stuffed after 3 rounds. Check out my short videos for everything

Daiki is an ok AYCE sushi choice, but good if you're looking for a really big and inexpensive lunch with a lot of variety. The restaurant has fun Japan-esque decoration, and the host and server were competent. They offer a discount for cash! There's a good variety of rolls, nigiri, and some appetizers, but quality varies. No complaints about the freshness of the ingredients, but the rolls are hastily prepared and "loose" so they fell apart easily. I think the cause is that they use a machine that automatically presses the rice onto the seaweed sheets, so the guys behind the counter are basically just rolling up the contents like a burrito. It doesn't stick together properly and the end pieces wind up messy. That said, the portions are right and service moves fast. If you want something elegant and neatly proportioned, Daiki will miss the mark. If you just want a bunch of eel and rice like I do, you won't be disappointed.

I went here for lunch on Saturday and they only had one other customer. No wait time is great however, please note that the entrance is in the back (handicap ramp) and parking is very very limited. Service was friendly and attentive. Price is very reasonable. Kids are half off the price! The cuts of fish were nicely sized but the amount of rice is quite overwhelming. Each piece was definitely an entire mouthful. The nigiri was densely packed with rice. I felt full having only two pieces. No complaints about the fish just the large ratio of rice to fish. The shrimp tempura was tasty with the light batter and crunch. Next time, perhaps I will try more side dishes than nigiri to avoid the abundance of rice for a different experience. This is a great place if you have a tremendous appetite on a budget!

Finally decided to come back after a long break and I'm happy to say that the food & service have improved. First Friday of lent and only 3 tables (6ppl total). You can order 3 items per person at a time. Food was coming out fairly quick. Rolls didn't feel like it was all rice. They were pretty proportionate with protein to rice ratio. Everything tasted good. I'm full. My son enjoyed his first salmon roe nigiri and kept asking for more. Overall a good meal and for a good price. Lastly, Beware of parking... there is an auto shop next door and they take up a lot of the parking. The parking behind the restaurant is reserved for staff only and I can see why.

My goodness! We are always welcomed here. I swear, I don't understand why a lot of people don't know or give this place a try especially their AYCE sushi. They recently raised their price, but only by $1. For $25 a person, no place in the peninsula can beat that price! I've looked! Their sushi is so dang good! I always get their lion king and California rolls, which are the best! Their handrolls this time were amazing too. Always my place for the sushi cravings!!

I could see why this place is rate 3 stars. It wasn't good but it wasn't bad. I had high hopes for this place. Always saw it as i drive up el camino and finally decided to try it. I did the ayce option which is well worth the price but i felt like it was really flavorless. Good portion of rice to fish ratio but the fish didn't really have that fish taste. There somehow wasn't even a taste. I tried nigiri, rolls, hand rolls and still nothing. The only thing that gave me flavor was their sauce. Their edamame was made very well and it seem fresh as it came out with steam coming out. Service was decent. Not super attentive but enough that when i ordered someone came promptly. parking was a pain in the butt. Their parking lot is limited and is shared with other stores. Around them is a lot of car fixing places so street parking was very limited. I ended up having to park across el camino and walk. Overall: will I come back? No. Do i regret trying this place out? Also no. Just not my cup of tea but it certainly was to some customers.

i've passed by this establishments many a times and have finally had the chance to eat here! we came for a late lunch, and the price for AYCE is pretty worth. we would come here again. the only thing i'd say is that there is a lot of rice on the sushi, which will get us full pretty easily, but other than that, enjoyed it! food came out fairly quickly, service was great. and i love the interior of the place, simple and open with plenty of natural light coming in!

Overall: Great service and price quick food, lots of rice depending on the item ---- We came in on a Sunday around 1:30pm for lunch. We had 10 people and there was no wait time! The price was great for all you can eat sushi for $23.95! There is 10% off if you pay in cash and there is a 15% auto gratuity for parties 5 or more. To order, use dry erase markers on the laminated menus and write the number of orders you want for each item you want. ---- Sushi Rolls: - My favorites were the Threesome, Hamachi Avocado, and the Lion King rolls - The Threesome rolls is described as having tuna, unagi, salmon, and avocado but today it had tuna, salmon, and some sort of white fish (maybe hamachi?) and unagi sauce, no eel meat - Not much variation in sushi rolls, most are California rolls with different sauces or tempura shrimp - Rolls are quite big Other notes: - Nigiri and hand rolls have too much rice, a lot of rice compared to fish ratio - Wasabi is very strong - Shrimp tempura comes with 3 shrimps per order - Veggie tempura is good with a nice variety like broccoli, pumpkin/squash, sweet potato or carrot, onion, and zucchini - Street parking available - Staff was really nice and fast - Noise level is low with soft music playing in the background - The TVs have sports playing on them with closed captioning to read Overall: Great bang for your buck for all you can eat sushi, only $23.95 and even cheaper with the 10% discount with cash payment! I recommend the Threesome, Hamachi Avocado, and Lion King rolls. Service was really great!

I ordered the Spider Ramen, which sounded unique and exciting on the menu, especially for something costing almost $22. Sadly, the flavor completely fell flat for me. The broth tasted bland and lacked the rich, comforting depth that makes ramen satisfying. I kept hoping the flavor would build up after a few bites, but it stayed underwhelming from start to finish. Honestly, I've had packaged noodles at home that were more flavorful and satisfying than this bowl. Even the egg in the ramen was disappointing. It didn't taste like a good quality ramen egg at all -- lacking flavor, richness, and that soft, well-marinated texture you usually expect from a proper ramen spot. It honestly felt like an afterthought rather than something carefully prepared. The shrimp tempura was another letdown. The shrimp pieces were extremely skinny with barely anything inside, so most bites tasted like fried batter instead of actual shrimp. Definitely not what I expected. The chicken karaage was the only dish that was decent. Crispy outside, tender inside, and probably the most enjoyable part of the meal, although still nothing particularly memorable. Service also could have been better. One staff member refilled my water twice without even lowering the pitcher close to the glass, causing water to splash all over the table both times. It may sound minor, but details like that really affect the overall dining experience, especially when the food itself already feels disappointing. Overall, for the price point, I expected much better quality, flavor, and attention to detail. Sadly, this visit did not live up to expectations and left me regretting my order more than enjoying it.

No matter what you order, you really can't go wrong--everything on the menu is consistently amazing. The atmosphere is always warm and welcoming, which makes every visit feel like you're coming back home. Diane and Victor are incredible hosts and truly make the experience special. I've known them for a long time, and Victor never fails to greet me with a shot of sake--something I always look forward to every time I walk in. Their rolls are absolutely to die for, but as someone who appreciates traditional Japanese flavors, I always find myself going back to the sashimi. It's fresh, clean, and really lets the natural flavors shine. If you're looking for great food, great vibes, and even better people, this place is it.

Ordered the deep fried oysters, $11. Got three small oysters and tartare sauce. Not worth getting, my kids food came out because they ordered cooked food, katsu and grilled salmon. The problem was the restaurant was not that busy . Two sushi people. My kids had finished eating and my food or my wife's dinner had not come out . Not that it was complicated. A tokie special roll and another basic roll off the menu. They didn't even have to cook it! I am so disappointed. Overall probably stick to cooked food if you Don't want to eat after everyone is done eating. ‍. Bang for the buck not so much anymore.
