However, this location beats others in the ease of getting a seat for dine-in and decent service and food! === 2. FOOD We're most often in for breakfast and on this most recent visit, it was again, and our go-to meal each is the: All-Canadian Breakfast ($8.99): it's like the Noah's Ark of breakfast - two eggs your way, two pieces of bacon, two sausages, two slices of Texas toast, two slices of tomato and one nice hash brown. Burger King has a cheaper breakfast ($5.99 that is the same breakfast minus the sausages and tomato); however, the quality of the toast and hash browns are a little better at A&W. === 3. SERVICE While not overly happy or enthusiastic, it's been consistently good in-person and in drive-thru. === 4. ENVIRONMENT The restaurant was remodelled 5-10 years ago and it doesn't show too much age - still open, clean, and pleasant and ready to accommodate small-medium groups, wheelchairs, and baby strollers. Parking is plentiful in the shopping complex lot outside.

Well since I walked there, I didn't have a car. I stood around the speaker ate and no one answered. I looked through the windows and it appeared that there was only one person working in there. I waited for a few more minutes and left and walked to Subway next door. I went to Burger King the next day and they were doing construction on the roof. The noise was so loud and annoying. Then when the work stopped, there was still noise of an alarm beeping. I ordered a whopper meal. My kid got 8 pieces of chicken nuggets. He loved them. Ate them all and some of my fries. My burger tasted good. The fries were a little cool and hard, not fresh. When I got back to the hotel, I went to the toilet because I got the runs. Although my kid enjoyed the nuggets, I didn't give him the option of getting chicken nuggets for dinner from this Burger King again.

FOOD In exploring the fried chicken scene in Richmond: - Popeyes has a light coating of batter, is relatively light on pepper/spice, and has marinated meat where you can taste the saline/salt. - Church's is like that of Popeyes - lighter batter, lighter on spice, but the meat itself is less marinated that what Popeyes offers. Good choice for me when Popeyes isn't readily available! It's also $0.25 cheaper per piece than that of the nearby LA Chicken. - LA would be like a mix between Popeyes and KFC - it has more pepper/spices than Popeyes with thicker batter, but smaller thighs and drumsticks. - KFC would be best for those who like a fuller set of pepper/spices, thick batter, and usually flavorful meat. === 3. SERVICE There is the handy 24/7 drive-thru service. I went inside to get a better feel for the service and it was good and fast for takeout. === 4. ENVIRONMENT This location used to be a Dairy Queen at one point and in many ways, it still is stuck as such from the late 90's or early 2000's. The location is optimized for drive-thru service, so parking is in the shopping lot complex across the laneway / drive-thru lane.

After seeing an Instagram post the night before , I saw one for Costco food hack , hehe. Good thing now I know just what to order ! Must Order at the self check out and pretty easy to navigate There's Montreal smoked meat sandwich ( crazy me-never cross my mind to order this) chicken tenders, fries, & of course the poutine which I am curious to try for very first time. During this visit I just found out you can get a Kirkland water when you get the hot dog combo instead of pop. I ordered & did the hack, chicken tenders with fries, side gravy for only .30, side cheese curd $2.99 for nice size package , hot dog combo. Total = 13.84, lower in USD. So cheap! This hack gets you the chicken tenders, hehe. I wanted to try the caramel sundae , but too early in day for desserts but I think that's available in the states . The verdict: I tried first without the gravy & cheese curd, then added them. Either way I enjoyed my very first poutine. I really like the fries & tenders, so good for the price! I got cheese out, since that was too much cheese curd for us. All in all, great first time enjoying poutine & on our road trip back . Love it. I Can't wait to be back & now I can create my own poutine back home when I'm thinking of Canada , hehe. **We were just here exactly one week ago today, such great memories! Happy Sunday!

The seating situation can also be a bit challenging, especially during busy hours, since the dining area is shared with several other eateries. You might have to walk around for a bit or wait for someone to leave before grabbing a table. But honestly, the food made up for it. The satay beef and fluffy egg sandwich was the highlight for me. The beef had plenty of flavor, the satay sauce was tasty, and that soft, fluffy egg went really well with everything. The bread was soft too, and the whole sandwich just worked. Definitely had that legit Hong Kong-style comfort food taste I was hoping for. Overall, I really enjoyed my meal here. Seating might take a little patience, but once you get your food, it's worth it. I'd definitely come back, especially for that satay beef and egg sandwich!
