I have been a Daffan "Member" for somewhere around 5 years (Brief break on it while i had to travel for work, maybe 6 months). I have used them to replace one of my entire HVAC and was pleased with the installation (That was expensive though as anyone reading this would understand.) The technicians have always been top tier and generally speaking the administrators have also been pretty darn good. I am cancelling my membership, i thought it was a good investment and in their defense it IS in the agreement, but getting a service charge to fix a fuse on an HVAC when a bi-annual service call is still pending is rather ludicrous to me (Maybe not to anyone else), but 37$ a month when only called about 1.5 times per year (Give or take) is just not financially smart, simple math 444$ a year and you only save 50$ on a service call. Lastly (I know this is long), but the real questions arise when you see an un-itemized bill. The total fee to replace a 2 pole 40 amp 24 volt connector was about 298$ (After the very service minded technician managed to talk them into then waiving the service fee of 54$). I own a small business I understand overhead etc, but the entire service took about 45 minutes and the part is listed on amazon and for 13.99$. So the total would have been (Without the service minded tech) Service and installation - 352$ Part 14-20$? lets go high end 50$ = 302$ I am then surmising Daffan charges roughly 300 per hour for calls. If we do take out the 54$ service charge Service and installation 298$ Part (Again high end) 50$ total= 248$ So again I guess its 248$ an hour for Daffan. The invoice I received only says "Unit controller" they do not itemize. read more

If you're into a company that takes advantage of elderly customers, look no further! Daffan serviced my Mothers home in Granbury, they charged her $5,978.00. One year later her AC went out again. They came out and said it needed $3,000 part. My friend is a service tech in DFW, he drove out this morning and informed me that they did not do what they charged her for last year. He fixed her AC for $54.00. Stay Away! I will be reporting them to the State! read more

Daffan performed work on the house we bought in Oct 2021. Prior to purchasing the home we required the seller to repair the unit for our upstairs area, Daffan was her choice provider. 5 months later, new owners, we are experiencing issues that dont allow us to use the unit. I called to schedule a "warranty" repair and was told that because the name has changed on the deed the labor isn't covered as part of the "warranty". $74 dollars to come out and "inspect" the unit, $225 per hour to fix the problem. We are business owners here in Granbury, this isn't how we operate and Ill make sure that we share our opinion on this level of service to our friends and customers. Rick & Lisa read more

Do not use this company. They will tell you they fixed your hvac and they do nothing. There main objective is to sell you a greatly inflated price on a new system. They wanted to sell us a repair on our system that would cost 3/4 k. Called our builder he said we should still be under warranty. Referred us to original installer. The said yes still in warranty. Cost is 758$. Found out system under 10 year warranty. Any trane dealer could have done ck and found out still in warranty. Do not trust anyone get 2nd opinion. read more

We showed up at our house and the temperature was 30° above where it should've been. One phone call and a technician arrived within 15 or 20 minutes. They had us back up and running in a matter of 30 minutes or so and we were very pleased with their service. read more

Daffan didn't install our HVAC but we let them do annual checks. We were told there was a refrigerant leak. $2000 more to recharge the system and they couldn't guarantee it would work or buy a new system. We plan to retire and didn't want future problems. The sale rep told us $12K or $14k for an upgrade. We blindly trusted Daffan and got the upgraded system. When I saw the Frankensteins monster they installed with putty and tape I was concerned. The noise was unacceptable and they made multiple trips to fix the problem. Concerned about Daffan I started calling around and researched the price of this unit. I believe I was over charged by $3K easily. We argued about the price and I never was told what the system cost vs what I paid. I found other quotes for a Trane much much cheaper. We had our Trane for 16yrs. It was professional looking, quiet and worked well. Now its winter and this thing sounds like a car wreck each time it comes on outside and puts out a steam I've never seen before. They sent a notice about this issue. All I am saying here is look around before you decide to use Daffan. I read more

Very happy with our service. We have now been using Daffan for the last three years and they always answer their phone and always take care of us. Before we found them, we had several bad experiences with other HVAC companies. Daffan even found that the original company who installed our HVAC system did not install a large enough return and therefore was causing our unit to overwork. Once they fix the return issue, our electric bill dropped. I would definitely recommend Daffan. read more

They did come out in a timely manner. He was at our home to clean the A coil and he did, but he did not finish the job. After he said he was done he forgot about cleaning the drip pan where all the excess dirt had been washed to then after we ran the unit the pan filled up with water and the drain line got clogged up and the water ran down through the unit and popped the units transformer. Now the next man from Daffan came out and said the blower motor was burned out and it would be 600 to 800 to replace it. Well that was when we called a real A/C company he came out and put the unit back together and did his testing and found that the water had blown the transformer not the blower motor So because of the first repairman did not finish his job 2 more service calls had to be paid no I'm not happy with them and I will never trust them again read more

They stand by their work and will keep coming back until the problem is solved. If you live in Granbury, you have undoubtedly seen one of their many trucks on the road, moving from disaster to disaster, saving people from their own houses. Horrible!! My elderly parents' AC was struck by lightning in the middle of the summer. Daffan came out and "fixed" it which then quit in less then a week. Told them they'd need a whole new system for $11,000!!! Then said my parents could no longer claim it on their homeowners insurance because it had been working for that week. They didn't take any pictures of the lightning struck unit. They didn't complete an Affidavit like they're supposed to. Had them sign up for a maintenance agreement when they first came out. Continued to take out the maintenance even after the AC went out the 2nd time. My mom called them and told them to stop taking the maintenance out of her account and that she wanted it refunded. They told her they could only refund the $15.50 if they charged the $100 discount they originally gave her. Then they not only cashed her original check for the $305 they originally charged to "fix" the AC but then also debited her account and on a weekend when she couldn't do anything about until Monday. These people are something else! I would highly recommend using someone else. They will leave you high and dry. read more

Daffan Mechanical came out on 8/26/14 to check out a noisy house air conditioner fan. The technician diagnosed the blower wheel (drum shaped fan blade) as about to come apart and replaced the capacitor on the fan motor. The blower wheel part was not readily available. He started the fan and it ran quietly. It did not seem reasonable to me that the mechanical component (blower wheel) was about to come apart, so I declined that service. I awoke during the night of 8/28/14 and heard a buzzing sound, the fan would not start. I called Daffan the next morning, they ordered the blower wheel and came that afternoon to complete the work. I expected the blower wheel to be damaged and not free to turn. There appeared to be no failure of the wheel. The technicians attached the wheel to the old motor and I commented I expected some failure of the wheel. They turned the wheel attached to the motor and said the bearings were damaged on the motor. The technician then offered to reinstall the old blower wheel. Since the technician still insisted the blower wheel was going to fail at some time, I allowed them to leave the new wheel installed. They then replaced the motor including the capacitor which came with the motor. When everything was reinstalled, the A/C worked normally. It is my opinion that the repairs should have been made on the first visit if the diagnosis had been correct (bad motor bearings) and I could have avoided the additional problems. On a positive note, the technicians kept me informed of when they would be arriving at my house and explained the cost of the service prior to doing the work. If you have HVAC problems in the Granbury, TX area, you might want to consider another provider. read more

The technicians are always in uniform, on time and professional. The techs work quietly and cleanly. The follow up has been good, I always get reminder calls when it's time to service my units. I just paid 114 a pound for R22 freon from this company. According to other companies, The current price is "up to " $50.00 a pound. a 99 dollar visit tuned into a $550 visit. I'll use anyone else next time. - I should have checked the cost of freon before I let him put it in. Too bad because I thought they were a pretty decent company. I called Daffan out to repair my A/C because the fan capacitor had gone bad. I am new to the area and they came highly recommended. They were able to send someone that day so I was very appreciative until I got the BILL. Almost fell down. They convinced me to sign up for their yearly maintenance plan for $185.00. Said it would save money in the long run. The tech. told me the capacitor was $107.00 which seemed high but I told him to go ahead. When I got the bill he had charged me $166.00 AFTER giving me a (discount). So my total bill was $351.00. I did some checking and the part can actually be purchased for $9.32. They charged me 18times that. I called to talk to the manager and asked if there was some mistake and he said no. I asked how he could justify such a large markup and he said "you called us" and basically it's hot and we had the part. I will no longer do business with such unscrupolus people.
