If i could have wrangled it, I would have used these guys. I got a shot in the dark estimate from my builder's contractor, and was curious how i could get a bid without anyone seeing the build. I called Lone Star to get a per ft sq bid, and they said they absolutely couldn't give me a bid without seeing the build. So, we set up a meet. Chris came out walked thru the house, then started explaining what he would do, and why. Great information! He went back to hius office to work up the quote. He called about a day later. Told me he had called the HVAC guy (Brazos River AC) to talk about the system the HVAC guy was putting in. He told me he gave me two quotes. One for the way I requested it, and then another way that would get me to the R factor I wanted. The way he suggested was not only significantly cheaper, it hot me a better R factor. My builder and I went round and round, and I finally capitulated, but only after my builder understood what i was saying to him. Lone Star understands the science, and try to educate people.
