I want this review to just say "BOMB WINGS" . . . but really Dad's Way Wings are pretty much the cat's meow ]=3! for me. I also (heart) the Dad chicken, the Dad Sandwiches, and the Dadsmosphere. They are also customer-conscious in this sadly time of forced take-out due to Plagues. Good pizza, good burgers...good beers all around. Good. (Does Dad's still have Pizza? Yeah I think so...) .. nice neighborhood local eatery with a few locations. Don't miss it if you can read more

Yes we love the food & the outside is dog gone friendly! We recently have been getting takeout from a long day it's worth it! The food is never messed up. Takeout is a gamble. Some places get the food order wrong or you get someone else's order. Not @ DADS! If you go to Dads say hi to Steve! Nicest guy & cares about the restaurant wholeheartedly! He operates the restaurant for years! Enjoy your food experience @ Dads! read more

Dad's Pub & Grub in Monroeville! Was out at Monroeville Mall with a friend and we were looking for some good food and stumbled upon this gem!! Seen it had good reviews and the food looked awesome and the reviews/pics definitely did NOT disappoint. Started out with chicken tenders with a dry rub & ranch for dipping. Then for our meals I got a Cuban & my friend got the mushroom Swiss burger, both with fresh cut fries. The Cuban was amazing!! And one of the biggest I've ever had. I really liked the mustard sauce. The fresh cut fries were delicious too. The mushroom Swiss burger was delicious and absolutely giant for the price of $11!!!!! (I believe the Cuban was also $11) And that price INCLUDES the fries. We also split a side of Mac and cheese which was pretty good! Had a nice flavor and the sauce was nice & creamy. I also had a delicious cocktail but can't remember the name. It had Tanqueray gin, lavender/chamomile infused simple syrup & fresh lemon juice. Deliciousness all around and such good prices!! 5 stars 10/10 highly recommend!! read more

We stumbled across Dad's while staying in Monroeville and it was a great find. I was under the weather with a bad cold and their homemade wedding soup really hit the spot. I also ordered a chicken Caesar salad which was very tasty. Attentive staff and quick food delivery. read more

Great food and great service and has a cozy neighborhood feel we highly recommend, and we will be regular customers!

The food is always amazing at Dads! Their burgers are so well seasoned and cooked perfectly! I love their homemade chips also! Must go!

Favorite place to eat. Hands down. Take out or sitting down we have never had anything that wasn't beyond delicious. Our servers have always been so kind and patient with our littles, and that goes a long way for us. It can get a little loud inside since it's on the smaller side but you can always sit outside if you'd prefer. No matter what, this is a family favorite. read more

the food is to die for, one of my favorite places to go, the ambiance is simple and bar like. Always busy and service is always great!

A had the biggest Cubano ever. Delicious. The wait staff was great. Definitely recommend this place.

My hotdog bun was very stale. Reuben sandwich had no taste. Overall, the place needs a major refresh.

Dad's is our weekend go-to place for take-out (and eat-in before there was a global pandemic.). The menu is standard bar food fare but they do an awesome job! I usually get a fish sandwich with fresh-cut fries. The sandwich is big enough that I can have what's left for lunch the next day and the fries are the best. Husband gets the cheesesteak and it is the bar by which he measures any other cheesesteak sandwich (meaning it's the best in his opinion.) When we order wings, we get the hot and they are really good as well. The beer situation is a whole other discussion. They have many on tap and coolers upon coolers of cans and bottles. Check out Dad's... You won't be sorry. read more

Great food. Everything taste like it's made with a little bit extra goodness I highly recommend trying the tot-chos read more

We came here with our family for lunch after church recently. It was our first visit. Was pretty good. We should be back again as the kids found things they liked. We liked the atmosphere, and there was a nice big booth that would hold all of us. If you have a group, it can be a good place. Great local place as we live close by! read more

As far as bar food goes, perfect! Ample size and great taste. We have been here a handful of times and is also consistent.

The food here is really good. Have been here 3 times with the family and the service was great every time. The gyro was amazing, and so was the Italian sub. We've also had the pulled pork sandwich, quesadilla, and a few other things on the menu. The menu has something for everyone! It's also kid friendly and if the weather is nice, they have outdoor seating. I'd recommend highly! read more

We grabbed takeout from here on a Saturday. We have been inside once and it's got a different vibe. It's very clearly an old Pizza Hut. It has that distinctive look outside and inside as well, but it really doesn't matter. There's a nice bar and a ton of beer to choose from in the coolers if that's your thing. We could have gotten beer or a growler to go too which is a nice option, especially now. Takeout isn't ever as fun as eating inside and rarely as good because of the transit time and what it does to hot foods but regardless, we were all happy with our food. The hotdogs here are really delicious and the salad I got was made exactly as I requested and everything was ready on time. Prices are fair. If your getting takeout during the pandemic, the pick up process is easy and efficient. A girl greeted us (while masked) and asked for a name. She handed over the food and we were on our way. There are lots of places in the monroeville area to get takeout from, but we like to give our orders to the smaller guys. The food is better and something like a closure hits them so much harder. Can't wait to return and eat inside. read more

Pretty good stop, the sweet potato fries were fresh. The service was mild and the food was okay. Not my favorite spot.

Food is always great! Wings, fish sandwiches, burgers. Love the outside patio in the summer. And my doggy loves it too.

I really enjoy the food here, along with the laid-back sports bar atmosphere. I've previously had a pizza here, which was delicious, and any of their fry options are delicious. On my most recent visit, my boyfriend and I ordered the fresh-cut fries, which were tossed with seasonings and Parmesan cheese. The portion was huge and they were amazing. Both of us ordered a half dozen of the whole wings tossed in a dry rub. Both of us also had to take boxes with us. The wings were great, I was just surprised by the price: for two of us, it was about $45 with a tip for a dozen whole wings and an order of fries, plus one soda. read more

I've been hearing about this place from co-workers for a while but never got to go until now since it's out of the way. To my delight, I had to visit Monroeville for an errand and when my boyfriend and I looked up local lunch spots, I said we HAD to go to Dads due to their reputation. I'm so happy we've finally visited and so sad that I don't live closer! This was pure comfort/bar food and they've perfected it. As soon as I saw the buffalo fries I knew I had to get them. I ordered them with a hot dog and both were great. The fries definitely had a kick which I love. The hot dog was even super good. Hot dogs are hard to mess up but it felt like they really went above and beyond with this one. My boyfriend had the Italian hoagie and it looked delicious. He said it was as good as it looked! I hope we end up in Monroeville again sometime soon just so we can visit Dads. read more

Friendly place with a hugely diverse menu and good beer selection. Being a single seater on a business trip, the host, Steve, set me at the bar next to some regulars, Kelly and Dave, who made the night just fantastic. Kelly assuaged my skepticism of having a salad with fries on it and I was so glad she did--it was awesome! Don't know if I'll ever have cause to come back to this area, but if I do, Dad's will be a must. read more

First time here and it's a locals place to frequent. The personnel were very friendly and helpful. We were only there for a late dinner/bite to eat as it was 8pm. It was still rather busy but it was the day before the 4th of July. The food was good and they had a good selection to choose from. They had ample parking behind the building. Would recommend if you are in the area. read more

Service & food were both great. Will eat there again. I had the buffalo chicken salad. It was fresh & loved getting just a few French fries.

The location is at an old pizza hut, but don't let that steer you away from this AMAZING hole in the wall place. Steve greeted us at the door and we were told by the hostess our wait was going to be 45 minutes. Not an issue as this was a Friday night that we dined in. We waited, and than went inside to sit and were handed a beer menu to look over while we got our table. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, as well as helpful when it comes to people who are indecisive. The beer was fantastic, but their burgers absolutely put every other place to shame for us! Delicious, juicy, flavorful, and HUGE! As my boyfriend and I make the trip out to Pittsburgh several times a year, we DEFINITELY will be back! read more

I LOVE this place!! Delicious food and really friendly employees. The prices are unmatched too. My boyfriend and I come here for date night pretty often because there is so much on the menu to try. The grilled eggplant sandwich and the Cuban are my favorite. and their mac n cheese, nd the potato chips. You can definitely tell everything is homeade Edit: got take out today and the food was great that way as well read more

Dads pub and grub is a one of a kind elite restaurant. If you are in the Monroeville area please consider going. The wait time is enormously long but is completely justified by how good the food is. When I say the food is great I'm not exaggerating. When the server brought out the food I was simply amazed. My meal "easily" racked in at the top 3 best meals I've ever had pertaining to bar style food. This caught me off guard as my meal was somewhat cheap. The price is also in your favor. I got an appetizer including a milkshake and my cost came to less than 18 bucks. So I would go in assuming you are about to pay less than 20 bucks. An the atmosphere is distinct as Dad's building is out of a old Pizza Hut space. Which is a nice contrast and I think it fits well. I can easily give this place a 10/10 read more

Great service, food is always good ... wings are great and good beer selection .,,, wife loves the pizza

Delicious food and cheap drinks! We love this local casual spot. The only downside is that there's a long wait, even if you have a reservation. It's always packed inside. For bar food, is extremely tasty. Would recommend! read more

My son picked it for the name. Burgers Pizza Salads and more. They have a big beer menu. Lots of IPAs on tap plus a couple Stouts and several Octoberfest beers in September. Good service. Try the fresh cut frys. Lots of screens for football. We all cleaned our plates. :) read more

This is a hidden gem in Monroeville. We'd never tried it before, even though we've passed it a kazillion times. It's not much to look at from the outside, which is probably why we never gave it a shot. But I'm glad we finally did! I could kick myself for not snapping any photos of the food, which is usually the first thing I do. But I was with a group & everyone (including me) just dove right in to the food. Sorry! We started with the "OUR FAMOUS 'PUB' CHIPS" which are homemade chips that come with ranch dressing & your choice of seasoning. We chose the seasoned salt. The chips were really good and were gone in no time between the three of us eating them. The youngest got a hot dog kid's meal. Next one got a Classic Red pizza (small) with pepperoni & bacon added. He kept eating until he was stuffed. There was a half of a slice left, so it must have been good! He's a pretty picky eater. Third kid got an adult burger, plain, just cheese. She said it was a bit salty. But she liked the battered fries. My daughter and I got the cheesesteak sub. It was a good size, too. They certainly don't skimp on food here. It's served with homemade chips, but substitutions are allowed (for an add'l cost). I have to tell you - that sandwich was GOOD! Seriously, I haven't stopped thinking about it & have been planning on going back there again just to get it. The service was great. Our server knew the menu, made recommendations, and kept checking on us. She was very friendly & helpful. Right now, they're distancing for COVID, but they have a sign that says masks aren't required if you've been vaccinated. read more

LOVE the Cod Bites! Perfect appetizer/lunch meal! The service is amazing! Plan to return again and again.

Have gone to Dad's every time we are in town, today was very disappointing. Took our Mom out for Mother's Day, she wasn't wished Happy Mother's Day, did not receive her complimentary drink or 50% off her meal. The cheese sticks were amazing but the fish sandwich was very salty, could have used lettuce and tomato, won't get it again The bartender/waitress was not all that great, not personable at all. Most times had to go to the bar to get what we needed. Great beer selection as always. We will try again, just not very happy today. read more

Nice little Hot Dog - Burger Joint. Great place to take your dad for a meal! Large selection of beers. The dogs are a good and snap to your bite. My fav is the Chicago dog with the sport pepper and celery salt. The snacks include some big onion rigs that come with a tasty spicy sauce and Pub Chips with your choice of seasoning. The menu does have sandwiches, salads, wings and pizza. Very friendly and attentive service. read more
