I first tried online but there was a glitch somewhere in the system. I called instead. When the phone was answered, the background noise was intense. It was so loud that the employee couldn't hear me. At that point I decided to just go in and order. When I walked into Urban Tap, the noise was almost deafening. Music blaring, voices raised to be heard. No one was using their "inside voices", they couldn't. I sat at the bar to order. I never got waited on. I finally caught the attention of one of the bartenders and was ready to place an order. We leaned towards each other, yelling to try to be heard. I couldn't hear her when she read back my order. I really wasn't sure what I'd be getting. Unfortunately, I did get what I ordered - brunch breads and an order of biscuits. It took quite a while to get food - no surprise there. I checked our food when I got it. Oh Lordy, those biscuits looked good. This southern girl appreciates a good biscuit and did these look good. I got the food to the car and we headed out on the next leg of our adventure. About an hour later, I just had to grab one of those golden, flaky discs. Butter? Jam? Nah, the biscuits looked like they could solo on their own. I took one bite and my eyes flew open - not from the deliciousness, it was because of the sheer amount of salt. That can't be right so I took another small bite. I tried a teeny bite of the next biscuit. Salt. The biscuits were inedible. No, I don't mean that I didn't like the flavor. They contained so much salt that there was no way someone could eat these. That's ok, there was the banana bread French toast. It looked a little dark in color but it never crossed my mind that this might not be normal. I took a bite. It tasted odd, off, something wasn't right. My husband pegged it - it was burned. Before grilling or after? No idea. There were also a couple of donut holes. Not even worthy of a second bite. I also ordered fruit. It was good but still not enough to save the meal from dismal failure. We won't be back .

Menu includes fried pickles, chicken sandwiches, cheesesteaks, general sandwich selection, tacos, and specifically a selection of smash burgers. Nice draft selection. Wrench Dip (French dip): "this is really good." That granted, anemic on the meat. "I should have taken the meat off of the other half when I cut it and put it on the first half and it would have been fine. M got the side of fried brussels sprouts with her sandwich; they are amazing. Burger is solid. This is a double Smashburger with lacey edges. The bun is perfect. Nice fried onions and cheese. The special burger sauce on it is a bit zippy. Competition for burgers here in Pittsburgh is very tough; there are better smash burgers locally. I got the garage fries with bacon and cheese as a side; these are thick, cut fries. M says "these are freaking great! They remind me of potato-patch fries from Kennywood." J got dry jerk wings. These are solid beefy fried wings. 4.0. M says these are her second favorite jerk wings. Her favorite are from The Independent. "They are done perfectly. They are chicken-y and crispy."

We were pleasantly surprised to find the town celebrating its Homecoming Festival. The streets were closed, bands were playing, and the entire atmosphere was lively and so much fun. The patio had about a one-hour wait, so we opted for the first available seating in the bar area, and it turned out to be a great choice. The service was friendly and attentive, and everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed their meals. I ordered the Chicken Milanese, and it was absolutely delicious. The portion was very generous, and the chicken was perfectly cooked--moist, tender, and full of flavor. It was served with creamy garlic mashed potatoes and a fresh green salad, making for a fantastic meal. Between the delicious food, excellent service, and the unexpected festival atmosphere, this was a memorable dining experience. I would definitely recommend Pour on Center and look forward to returning! **Everywhere I go, I bring my Yeti filled with reverse osmosis water. At this restaurant, I was asked to remove it from the table because they don't allow outside beverages. This is only the second restaurant I've ever visited that has had this policy, so I just wanted to give others a heads-up. If you usually bring your own water like I do, you may want to leave it in the car.

We opted to dine in for dinner. The restaurant had ample social distancing between tables and practiced all safety and sanitization measures during Covid. My husband and I were the only dine-in customers for most of our meal. Lots of take out orders were processed while we were there. My husband and I opted for the special of the day which was a crab meat ravioli covered in Alfredo sauce with a cheese-filled breadstick and side salad for $14.99. We also ordered the deep fried cheese sticks as an appetizer. Holy moly is the food delicious here! The cheese sticks were served with two homemade side sauces: honey mustard and sweet Thai chili. The pasta for the raviolis was HOMEMADE! It was incredibly good. The staff was very friendly and one of the owners was in the kitchen himself helping to fill orders.
