    Pittsburgh Wrap

We had an early dinner here on the way to the Latrobe airport. We sat outside but could still here the beachy live music being played indoors, so the vibe was great. We started out with the loaded truffle fries. I would definitely get it again. They were loaded the perfect amount and just the right level of crispy. For my main dish I got the Bar Nine Burger with a side salad. The side salad was huge! The burger was juicy and had amazing bacon on it. Pro tip: their ranch is phenomenal. My boyfriend had the Pittsburgh wrap. It was very unique and the coleslaw on it had amazing flavor. I will definitely be back anytime I'm in the area.

Stoped in today with my wife! Awesome bar tenders, Ricky was a blast to talk with. Very friendly neighborhood bar feel, great food and the drink I had was well balanced. Highly recommend the Candid Bacon and Mac & Cheese! We will be back for sure!

It's hard to find this place, on the corner of a corner. Service was very slow, and not busy when we got in there. And they were out of orange juice for a drink my wife wanted, which is hard to believe when there's a huge gas station across the street, and a dollar store within a half mile. Food was very good, I got pulled pork, mac and cheese very cheesy and creamy. My wife got a burger and I really liked the meat and bacon on it. Overall, I'd go again but I don't have to for a long time.

I was pleasantly surprised by the changes at Bar 9. I only visited twice before when the restaurant first opened. This week I noticed many improvements. It was an oddly warm night so we were able to sit on the patio. The patio has several heaters keeping the space at the perfect temperature. It has a great little lounge area in the corner perfect for summer time. Our server was prompt and explained the menu and specials. Tuesday nights it's taco night. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich - very good! It comes with Mac and cheese. Overall everything I ate was really good. I will be going back to enjoy more time on the patio when the weather breaks!

Fun friendly environment. Definitely a bar and not a good restaurant to eat at. Just stick to appetizer.

Great hamburger. Good drink. I have not tried all of the food they have there. I would like to try more foods there.

Awesome place, never had a bad meal. Good service. Bathrooms are clean. I mean you can't go wrong here. Long Island ice teas are the best.

Horrid. Should be shut down. Our food was awful. My shrimp tacos had gray shrimp - not even cooked. 0/10.

Food is decent - but math is difficult here - if the Thursday drink special is $3 Jack Daniels, why am I charged more than $6 for a double?

Enjoyable little bar. The food is hit or miss. We did have a rather long wait for any service. Try the pickles and peppers!

We opted to dine in for dinner. The restaurant had ample social distancing between tables and practiced all safety and sanitization measures during Covid. My husband and I were the only dine-in customers for most of our meal. Lots of take out orders were processed while we were there. My husband and I opted for the special of the day which was a crab meat ravioli covered in Alfredo sauce with a cheese-filled breadstick and side salad for $14.99. We also ordered the deep fried cheese sticks as an appetizer. Holy moly is the food delicious here! The cheese sticks were served with two homemade side sauces: honey mustard and sweet Thai chili. The pasta for the raviolis was HOMEMADE! It was incredibly good. The staff was very friendly and one of the owners was in the kitchen himself helping to fill orders. This restaurant is a gem in Herminie. We are adding this to our rotation of locally owned restaurants to eat at and can't wait to try more items from the menu. Definitely give this restaurant your business. Your taste buds will thank you!!!

However, we realized…read morethere was going to be some interesting developments when the server came by and he seemed a little nervous, but that's understandable. In any case we placed our orders, I ordered the breakfast platter special, which was fried chicken and biscuits with country sausage gravy my wife ordered the eggs Benedict my daughter for her birthday ordered the French toast with two eggs and my son ordered the chicken and waffles. Talking first about the chicken and waffles. I've come to see that many locations offer chicken and waffles. This being about average for what I would consider chicken and waffles as it was a small filet cut in a half upon a very thin flat waffle, which would've done better to be a Belgian waffle with a much fluffier plump chicken filet. My son did enjoy it but when he finished it the server came by and he says did you enjoy that? Was it good, it must've been good because you ate everything! Then let's discuss my wife's eggs Benedict, which she thoroughly loved. However, the ham looked like it was sliced deli ham for a sandwich instead of Canadian bacon or a little thicker slice of country ham. It's not my call, as my wife said she enjoyed it. My daughter enjoyed her stuffed French toast and egg. Everything was cooked to her liking and she said it had a good flavor and of all four dishes that certainly was the best of the four. as for the last dish, my Sriracha sausage gravy, fried chicken and biscuit with home fries, the jury is still out as the home fries came out a little overdone and cold. The sausage gravy looks like somebody spread it on with a paintbrush, and it wasn't very warm. The chicken was warm and did taste good and the biscuit was good, but it made no sense when the server said, it comes smothered in sausage gravy. Take a look at the picture, and it looks more like a couple tablespoons of gravy on each biscuit with the chicken. We did have a good time and the ambience of the place was very nice, especially seated along the windows looking at the snow outside and perhaps we'll give it another shot at a later date. Overall, nothing over the top but nothing to make us fear coming back either. It was just kind of middle of the road, but I am glad that the nicest dish and the best presentation went to my daughter for her 20th birthday. At least that was a saving grace as well as the lunch with the movie, listening to the various antics and chatter coming from the server.
