Spicy chicken sandwich this is just 1 half!
Lisa M.

We had an outstanding experience at Dad's Kitchen. Nowadays, the way to go is to stick with the burgers or sandwiches. They also have the skinnier fries, not the steak fries. Much improved there. My sister and I both got the drunken chicken sandwich. It was really good. I'll say it could use some more flavoring/sauce. The bun was a little bit bland as well. But I would still order it again maybe ask for a different bun. It was still well done! My sister opted to upgrade to a side salad. It was a good size salad and she loved it. They used good quality ingredients as well, not just iceberg lettuce. My brother-in-law got the max burger. It was a double patty. I forget the name, but he really enjoyed it. My Mom got the chicken Caesar wrap. I will definitely get that next time. It looked delicious and she really enjoyed it as well. They have some nice beers on tap although they do run out often. And a few semi decent wine selections.

So delicious. Dad's Burger with onion rings.

Food was delicious again! I had the Cowboy Burger, friends had Dad's Burger, New and Improved French Dip, and the Blonde Sandwich. We all love our food and the great fries. It is very noisy but our waitress has a loud enough voice we could hear her over all the noise.

This is now our Dad's since we don't have the Land Park location anymore. RIP thnks fr th mmrs. This one is farther away from where I live but still very worth the trip. One of my favorite places to watch sportsball while I have some breakfast. As one does. Food at Dad's has always been solid. Whatever you order, it'll be great! I do wish they had more meatless options. But I get by. Vegans would have a harder time. My favorite breakfast items are the chilaquiles and the vegetarian-ized eggs benny. They have two options there and one has savory tangy chipotle hollandaise, which I highly recommend trying! And it's always nice to wash down your hearty meal with a mimosa. They have several fruit juices to choose from too if OJ isn't your thing. Bottomless? Yes that's an option. Dad's also makes a legit Bloody Mary, one of the best in town in fact. We don't have to worry about finding a seat because this place is pretty spacious, even the bar area aka the best seat in the house. I appreciate the rotating tap list and how there's always a dark beer for me. Everyone who works here is amazing and I love them. I'm happy to still have a Dad's to hang out at. PS Fair Oaks Dad's has a full bar !

Green Machine and Side Salad

Stopped in for dinner while running errands in the area. Why haven't we come here before? Dad's has been around for a while and seems to be a huge favorite based on the crowd that was there while we were at dinner. The vibe is quaint and cozy, and the food is spectacular. My wife had the double smash burger, and I had the green machine, with blue cheese habanero fries, and a salad. Have to tell you, my wife almost had to fight me off to keep her burger to herself. That thing was simply fantastic. My green machine was a veggie sandwich and it was extremely tasty. Lots of veggies with cream cheese and pepper plant oil, which gives it a nice zing. But honestly, the star of the show was that burger. Fantastic beef flavor clearly made right before bringing it to our table, and the right mixture of juicy-cheesy-beefy and a little tomato and lettuce. We also had a giant pretzel with beer cheese, and it stacks up really well against a lot of other places that have it. So: ambience - great, food - amazing, wait staff - very friendly. The only thing that kept it from being a full five stars was a little chaotic seating/ordering/attentive wait staff. The wait staff was perfectly pleasant, it just seemed like the busy night was a little too much for them. Just go on a slower night or outside of dinner hours, and you'll be in heaven. Promise!

I started going to Dads Kitchen in Land Park over 10 years ago. It was one of my husband and I's favorite date night spots! I'm glad to see the quality of food has carried over to this location - one of the best burgers you'll find in California! The staff was very friendly and welcoming as always. Dad's is just the place to be. If you want to feel like a local visit Dad's - good for the stomach and soul.

Burgers, onion rings, hotdogs with pastrami

We had a family dinner on Saturday evening (the evening before Father's Day) and everyone enjoyed Dad's. Burgers, pastrami hotdog from the specials menu, deep fried pickles, brussel sprouts with bacon, beer, mixed drinks, sodas -- we had a little bit of everything! Great server, service. A grand time was had by all.

Good burgers decent prices and fast service been there a few times and like both locations equally

We held an end of season softball party and it was wonderful! They had kids friendly food options and everything was hot and delicious! The outdoor area was perfect for the kids to celebrate while parents had space to mingle and eat. We will for sure be booking for future events!

Dad's used to be a favorite... but the last two visits were awful!! Service is terrible and food has gone downhill. Won't be back!

So I found myself at this brewery for a special bbq event and I previously left a review for that…read morefood event specifically-now let's just talk about this brewery specifically. This brewery is located in Rancho Cordova in the same shopping center as Nimbus Winery. Its a very big shopping center with many tenants,so very busy but on the plus side, lots of parking options available in the shopping center. Once we walked by the Girl Scouts selling their cookies outside the brewery,we walked into a pretty large warehouse like room and a very long single line to place drink orders at the bar.The lines move pretty quick though, probably took about 12 minutes to get my order placed and drink in hand. They have many award winning beers available but this night I went with one of their Triple IPAs and the wife went with a lager.I found the Triple IPA to be one of the best Triples I've had just about anywhere,it was so tasty and heavy and when I finished it I really felt it-that beer packed a punch-I had two of them.I ended up trying my wife's lager and it tasted pretty good as well-if you like lagers then this one works out well. The Triple IPA was named Rainbows Ponies and was 11% ABV and the lager was named Lake Girl Lager and was 4.7% ABV. The brewery itself is super family friendly-pet friendly for sure as many doggies were in there. They had a band playing in one corner of the brewery, though the chatter in that brewery was pretty loud so could barely make out what he was singing. They sell many canned beers that are available for take home-that's one thing I regret not doing-but I guess that gives me a reason to go back sooner rather than later. They also do have non-alcoholic beer available for those who just enjoy the taste of beer but don't drink alcohol. Overall I think this is a top notch brewery and one I would recommend visiting-they have top caliber beer and offer a family friendly environment and the location is pretty good with decent restaurants in the area along with activities like miniature golf and escape rooms that are fun for the entire family.

I do have one suggestion. I completely understand and appreciate the elevated vibe they're going for--it's part of what makes the place special. That said, I think there may be a bit of a missed opportunity with the bocce ball courts. There are large signs saying kids can't play on them and must stay with adults, but honestly, I come here at least once a quarter and they're often not being used. Given the location and the number of families in the area, it could be interesting to consider adding a small playground in the back. I know that might sound unconventional for a place like this, but I've seen restaurants do this successfully in Europe. What's really missing around here is a place where parents can enjoy an incredible meal and drinks while their kids have a safe place to play nearby. Right now, the only places that come close are breweries. There are almost always families here when I visit, so just a thought! Either way, Shangri-La remains one of my favorite spots.

The cake was moist and flavorful. The drinks weren't too strong. The service was a little slow, but the staff were friendly and attentive. Whoever designed this restaurant did a wonderful job. It's very unique and makes me feel like I'm in a cabin. The lighting is dim and sets the mood for a romantic date. There are a few areas to lounge and a spot to take pictures. They have seating available inside and outside. Bathrooms are stocked and clean. The antler chandeliers are gorgeous. But the real star of the show? The bar.
