Dad's used to be a favorite... but the last two visits were awful!! Service is terrible and food has gone downhill. Won't be back!

Love this place! I've been dropping in for a beer once a week. Always an expansive beer menu. Something new and good always waiting. The atmosphere is always jovial, and the staff is super nice. Recently had a meal with a party of five. Everyone had something different, so we all got to try a variety of food. For a change, we also all had dessert. So decedent! There are no near misses on their food. I also love their Facebook postings. They feature their weekly special menu, with delectable pictures. And they give prices. No surprises. So good to have in our neighborhood. read more

Always a fan of Dad's, but today they really delivered! Great food, drinks, dessert, and especially service. We came in for lunch and sat in the bar area, the bartender was awesome! I had the spinach salad and we shared a huge piece of carrot cake between three of us with some left over to take home. read more

Just tried Dad's kitchen for my first time and what a great place. It was lunch and everything ordered by our group was amazing. Burgers were perfect and absolutely loved their mac n cheese. I come here 2-4 times a week due to the good beer, food, and staff. However, since dads doesn't allow dogs on the patio, I've had to find pet friendly places. I wish they would reconsider their policy to allow well behaved dogs. read more

Just great, read some iffy reviews was hesitant but very close to home and decided to give it a shot, 1st off great bar with huge selection of tap beers, was pretty packed but had us seated in no time. Our server was quick, efficient and very nice. We had a party of 4 and he recommended the onion rings for an appetizer but only 6 for an order so I asked for 2 orders, he warned me that they were pretty big, I didn't realize glazed donut big but we still managed all but 1 and that was only because our food came out, the Dads burger is just awesome for a 1st visit can't go wrong, the habanero fries that I ordered with it were just hot enough without being ridiculous in heat, the Philly steak also excellent, my wife had a veggie sandwich and raved how much flavor they got out of just veggies, all 4 of us had different dishes but everyone was very happy. This is a great place and to have it in an area where dining is only sushi or fish and chips really is a plus.. You can't go wrong here. Ryan and his staff are great and it was a very good experience, oh and very reasonable pricing as well.. 5 stars and will be a regular from here out... Decided to try this because of course we saw it on tv. It was a sat around 3pm. It was great! My Mom ordered the hot blonde with the blue cheese habemaro fries. My bf and I got the Dads burger with regular fries. Mom loved hers and our burgers were juicy and delicious. The waiter was great and speedy and our food came out fast. Will be back. read more

The Food, staff, beer selection and bourbon selection are awesome. I love that the beer selections are ever changing and I get to sample new things when they come. I have had the meat loaf and pork chops and they were both excellent. I love the Rye Bourbon old fashions they serve as well. In the past my experience has been if a 2nd location is added the experience that Guy Fieri had doesn't compare in the new location. I have experienced that with the Squeeze Inn, I loved the old original location and had the best experience even though eating on the "patio" during a hot spell, but the new location just didn't compare. But to talk about Dad's; I wouldn't make an effort to go back. Our waitress must have had a bad day, or wasn't feeling good because we felt like we were bothering her just being in her section. The Onion Ring presentation seemed to be more for affect then good tasting, I think they might have set under a hot light before being brought to our table. The food was average and as a party of 6 we had a variety of different dishes. The best I can say is the blue cheese was very fragrant and married well with the warm spinach salad with tri-tip. I wish I could give it better then 2 stars but.... I've experienced better. read more

I have eaten here three times. The two times I ate in the restaurant were 4 star experiences. The food was tasty, the service was good, and the price was ok, and the beer selection was outstanding. I ordered food to go on one occasion. By the time I got the food home (I live around the corner), the food was cold and the hamburger bums were soggy; it was a two star experience. My recommendation is to eat there in person. read more

Love this place! We frequent here often and love the atmosphere. The patio has heaters and is also great for summer time. The staff is amazingly friendly and the food is always great. Id recommend the veggie burger, handmade quinoa with carrots and mushrooms. Multiple craft beers on tap and local brewed. This is a happenin' little spot that is laid back, with friendly staff. The chili Mac and cheese is DELICIOUS; in my opinion the rest of the food is nothing to brag about, but never horrible. I will never go back after being served a raw hamburger. When I told the waiter he took the disgusting burger back to get cooked. There was no offer to order something new even though I was nauseated by what I bit into. They brought the same burger back and apologized for it being rare. It was not rare - it was raw! The very least they could have done was pick up the tab for the meal I took home to my dogs. I was nauseated for days when I thought of me biting in to that damn burger. read more

Food was great. Service was terrible. The restaurant was about half full and we had to wait 5 minutes to be greeted. Then we waited about 10 minutes for someone to take our drink order. It seemed like the manager did everything. The waiters were nowhere to be found. Will not be returning for a $15 burger accompanied by practically no service. read more

Like the photo above I got a hot blonde sandwich with garlic fries. Got 11 fries drowned in oil. The sandwich was even smaller than last time. For 15 bucks I expect a tad bit more food. It's a sandwich and not enough fries to cover the top of the small sandwich. Hope they stay in business but need to rethink either the cost or portion size. read more

I need to get some feedback. This was the worst food I have had in a long time. Burger was undercooked and the bun was soggy. The meat had no flavor. We also shared the Cobb salad and the presentation was awful. The lettuce wasn't fresh. I love Dad's Kitchen so I hope today was a fluke. read more

The most amazing food, especially for the money, I have ever eaten. It is also organic! Very important to me. The Dad's burger was beyond excellent, the fries (parmesan/garlic) were the best fries I have ever eaten, and the service was outstanding. I would recommend getting there early. I have eaten in a lot of food in upscale restaurants in my life, but the dessert menu blew my mind. I have never seen anything like this. We had to order ours to go because we were so full (brought home leftovers). The desserts are the most exquisite things I have ever tasted. I intend to eat each and every one eventually. The most talented dessert chef I will ever witness. Oh, and the menu was perfection; including specials. I can not stress how excited I am to go back. read more

I have loved Dad's for years, and met my friends here often. Last Wednesday night might be the last time I go. It was so LOUD we could barely hear ourselves. The service was very slow, and clumsy, leaving one of us waiting almost ten minutes for her salad after everyone else was served. My salad had been dressed too early and was soggy by the time it was served. One table with multiple families and screaming children (not exaggerating) was allowed to create a very ugly atmosphere. We asked to be moved and that took another half hour to happen. I couldn't get out soon enough. I hope this is helpful feedback and that Dad's makes some changes. There is so much to like there. read more

I really enjoyed Maranellos that used to be at this location; was sad to see it go (admit, the food and service began to be sub-par towards the end) but very glad that Dad's was taking it's place. For our first visit to Dad's, my 3 star rating is compiled as: Two stars for service. There were only 3 tables with patrons in them at the dining room and yet twice they tried to serve food to the wrong table. The drink order took awhile and one person at our table was ignored. It seemed like the wait staff was very new to this line of work. They also seemed to be missing that "wait staff friendliness" that is an essential part of a positive dining experience. The staff wasn't rude, just....disinterested. Three and a half stars for food. Oddly, I asked for gluten-free bread for my burger, assumed it would be gluten-free buns, and instead it was very thinly sliced toast. The toast was much too thin to eat with the burger so I skipped it (yet it cost me a dollar more for the priviledge). Standard fries were sub-par, not much flavor at all (and I do love good fries!). Rueben was good. Veggie burger was good but could have used a bit more sauce (which was good, just too lightly applied). Spaghetti and meat balls good. Three stars for cleanliness, beer selection (lots) and parking (ample). The have a very large Tv in the dining area but they keep the volume on mute(?). Three stars is good for a return visit; I hope the place gets better as time goes by... read more

This is right around the corner from our house and I was happy to find they have good, innovative comfort food, good beer selection and friendly service. I will definitely walk back again soon. We sat on the outdoor patio, which is heated and covered for cooler eves. Had the Dad's burger, which was delicious, big and messy. The onion rings are perfect - thick, crispy, beer battered with a splash of balsamic (which put them over the top for some reason). Habanero bleu cheese fries are good, but not as hot as expected, and the warm spinach salad was amazing. I have no complaints but I only reserve 5 stars for the truly spectacular. read more

"It doesn't taste like anything." That's what my companion said about her breakfast sandwich as I was grabbing for the salt for my own Hot Blonde sandwich. Even the impressively thick onion rings were bland. The dip did not help. So strange because everything looked perfect. The texture was right. No flavor, spice, satisfaction. The waitress consistently spoke to us from across the room. She would be placing a drink at one table and asking us a question about the food. Rather odd. How does this place have only 3 stars??? Great menu, food was delicious, hot, fresh and the service was fantastic. Attentive staff, helpful, funny, etc. The variety on the menu is great...I'm a vegetarian and plenty of yummy options just vegetarian alone plus the option to sub in their quinoa patty on any meat sandwich or burger. Everyone at the table ordered something different -- chicken sandwich, pork chop, burger, veggie sandwich and philly cheesesteak and everyone was very happy.
