I've used Daddy's Carpet Cleaning many times. When I moved back to Austin in 2005, we lived in a brand new apartment with two dogs who were under two years old. Needless to say, they had some accidents. Daddy's saved the day for us then, and every experience since. Yesterday we had them clean our carpets and do a kitchen tile cleaning and grout scrub. The difference in the look of our floors is outrageous! It's like one of those teeth whitening infomercials was performed on our floors! And for less than $150, it was unbelievable. I have not used Daddy's Carpet Cleaning yet, I will in the near future when, if it rains in Austin and my kids track mud up the carpeted stairs and into their rooms I plan to do so. I observed the cleaned carpet at a business I frequent and asked the owner to tell me the name of the cleaner. This is a highly trafficked business and I definitely noticed the before and after in the look of the carpeting. From the resulting cleanliness I asked for the name and number of the company and it was Daddy's Carpet Cleaning. Super impressed with the quality and cost of service! After a fruitless search for a car wash business willing to shampoo the interior upholstery of my vehicle, I saw an ad in a local coupon mailer and decided to give them a call. For a company who's normal business is to clean household and commercial carpets, they were more than happy to accommodate my needs without hesitation. I have used Daddy's as well as other carpet companies over the 10 years I've lived in the Austin area and cannot recommend Daddy's enough! They actually take their time to get the stains and odors out (I have two dogs and a cat plus a boy =). They have a work ethic and attention to detail that I really appreciate. I last used them summer of last year and was moving out of my house. The carpet didn't look like it was going to come clean but they spent extra time going over certain spots and it turned out beautiful. I got my carpet cleaned while we were gone for Christmas and came home to carpet that looked brand new. Our carpet was in terrible condition from the previous owners, as well as our kids and dogs tracking in and out. We've only had our carpet cleaned professionally one other time and I can honestly say Daddy's Carpet Cleaning had the other company beat by a long shot. I was left with a very unsatisfied feeling after our carpet was cleaned. The owner was out for the money, the job quality came second to his motive to make me spend on "EXTRAS". The technician was to show up between 2:30 and 3:30. I called at 4 and was told the technician was running late (obviously!) He finally showed up at 4:30. He did a fine job it's just unfortunate that I had to call them to see what was going on. Poor customer service. read more

They were supposed to show up between 2:00-3:00. One would think that an hour's window would be sufficient. The cleaner guy called at 3:20 and said they were running late. I was on a tight schedule that day and lateness was unacceptable. I called the office and told them what happened via a voice message. I never heard back. Guess they didn't care! read more

I have been supporting this business every six months for 3 yrs and today had an awful experience. First off, the website mentioned $25 referral discounts, I have referred 3 neighbors and when I asked about the discount, was told they do not do that by the "wife". Thursday I made an appt for today, the tech arrived a half hour early, which was great, the techs are always professional but the "wife" is the PROBLEM! She takes the calls to schedules the appts, always has screaming kids in the background, and tells me she is not in front of her computer so I have to repeat myself in giving my info. On Thursday I specifically asked if their prices increased with the economy as that is happening everywhere and to avoid any surprises and was told NO. The tech arrived and I told him before starting that I did not need any furniture moved, just go around the living room and bedroom furnitre and the stairs as usual for $59. He said yes ma'am and did a great job! Once he was done and quoted me the price, I got upset and told him that was not the quoted price. I understood it was out of his hands, I called the wife since she is the only one you can speak to and she wouldnt answer. The tech called her and she answered immediately! He explained to her my issue and then when I spoke to her she kept insisting I was looking for an arguement and that couldnt have been further from the truth. My main point is if you are asked a specific question on pricing, NOBODY LIKES SURPRISES. She is yelling at me that I got off with out paying more the other times, I disagree because from day one 3 yrs ago I showed what areas I needed cleaned and was quoted that price. I didnt just make up my own prices! She continued to cut me off in saying she was not at her computer and her kids were around, those are not my issues. If you are a business person, then perform in a business atmosphere! I am not upset with the tech, but will say the last four times someone has been dispatched from their establishment, its ALWAYS someone new. They have a huge turnover of technicians and today I understand why. I think the "wife's" attitude with consumers will hurt the business eventually. As she yelled at me next time dont ask her if its the same cost, I cut her off and said dont worry, THERE WILL NEVER BE A NEXT TIME FOR US. I WILL DEFIINTELY FIND ANOTHER MORE CONSIDERATE, EFFICENTLY RUN, PROFESSIONAL carpet cleaning company and then gladly refer them to my neighbors once again. There is no use in good work when you walk away feeling as if you were disrespected and spoken down to for her own error in telling me the price was the same. If there were any questions, she could have verified my file, called me back if there was a pricing error and we could have discussed it.
