    Breakfast duo.

A great find for early morning breakfast. Food is really great (nice and good portions) and the service is very friendly and happy. Nice and comfortable, a feeling of nostalgia here. Will definitely return.

Daddypops is a cute little spot that has become the go to spot for me and my cousin. We love coming here for breakfast/brunch. It has a retro vibe and reminds me of diners from when I was a kid. The staff is very friendly, quick to greet you and excellent with coffee refills, which is extremely important and appreciated. One of the last times I was there I got the daddy pop breakfast duo. My cousin got breakfast with french toast and we each wanted to try the pancakes and French toast and shared them. We also shared breakfast potatoes and they came out perfect and crispy. Definitely make sure to check out daddypops. FYI- there is street parking (make sure to bring quarters) or park on a nearby side street.

This is a great breakfast spot but you have to time your visit to avoid the chaos. The staff here does handle the chaos with aplomb, but personally I am not a fan of super popular places that are full of patrons and have a long wait. That said, I did stick it out so I could try this place since I was in the area and made the trip to see it. I ordered the Split Decision (French Toast and pancakes), home fries, and scrapple. It was a huge breakfast of course, and I took about one quarter of it home with me. Everything was excellent and high quality. I can not say enough good things about the food. The scrapple was actually tender inside and not at all oily/greasy like at most places. The pancakes were huge and full of flavor. The hash browns I can legitimately describe as 'life-changing' and I don't say that lightly. They too, were not greasy or heavy. The servers seemed super overworked to me. There were only three of them for the whole restaurant. Yet I saw them hustling hard, running around, taking orders and delivering food super quickly. My waitress was Nicole and she had a smile on her face the whole time. Up on her feet and running around all morning, I don't know how she did it. Shout out to her (if management is reading this, get her a raise asap!) Pro tips: -They do charge more for credit cards, so bring cash if you want to save 4% -They have a few outdoor tables. Even though it was a nice day when I was there, I believe only one table was in use. Perhaps they don't get service when the restaurant is super busy.

Classic diner vibes, unforgettable food! Daddypops is an absolute gem. Walking in feels like stepping into a timeless diner--warm, welcoming, and full of character. I ordered the steak and eggs, stuffed French toast, and an iced coffee--and every bite was on point. The steak was juicy and cooked just right, the eggs were perfect, and that stuffed French toast? Out of this world. Sweet, rich, and comforting. The iced coffee was fresh and hit the spot. Service was friendly and fast, and you can tell the staff takes pride in what they do. This place isn't just about great food--it's about the full experience. Highly recommend Daddypops if you're craving a hearty breakfast in a place that feels like home.

Hockey player approved came between showcase games to refuel. super friendly staff, accommodated our group close to closing time. So good we're ready to move here from Maryland! We'll be back for sure any time we're in the area. Thank you ladies for being awesome!!

I have no problem giving Daddypops 4 Stars. Most diners are 2 to 3 stars, but Daddypops serves up the same menu items with one huge difference, all fresh ingredients. Parking and wait time are the only drawbacks, but the experience is worth it.

Scrapple and brioche french toast (insta: @mmmashterchef)

Researched as part of my annual summer food tour. Wanted to try scrapple and semi close to the history around Washington's crossing and Trenton. Diner style. Server was very polite. Food came out pretty quick. Ordered the brioche French toast which came with 2 eggs and a meat (chose scrapple). French toast was soft and delicious. Eggs were fine. Scrapple had a moderately neutral cornbread flavor with a salty note to brighten up its dense body. Glad I tried it and nice pretty straight forward diner stop!

    Veggie omelet
    Shannon S.

Not our first time here, but disappointed on this visit. There was no heat and it was pretty cold sitting in there this morning. The veggie omelet was good and my husband's cheeseburger omelet was also tasty. They were both a nice size and fresh. The bill ended up being $50 for two omelets. I think that's a bit much for breakfast. I don't think we'll be returning.

From the street it has a really cool look and the inside leans into an industrial style with a great aesthetic. It's a comfortable space with a nice vibe. We ordered a couple of cocktails: a lemon drop and a Manhattan. Strategically we decided to split a Detroit-style pizza called the Iron Pig. Good call because one square was the perfect amount for dinner. And now we have a few meals to heat up for the next few days. The drinks were excellent and the pizza was outstanding. Great flavor. Our server Ally was welcoming and friendly and top notch on service. It is the middle of winter so we weren't considering outside dining, but they have a great outdoor space near the street. Looks like a fun place to hang out. It's definitely a place we'd consider visiting again.

They don't have server tunnel vision, they work as a team and it shows! The vibes are so cool here. I mean, if you're gonna open a cafe next to a scrap yard, you have to lean in to the theming. I love the vibes, I love the appearance. The food is amazing top to bottom. First, their coffee drinks are always spot hitting, partly due to the fact that they roast their own coffee beans on site. The cocktail menu is always enticing an even though I'm not a huge drinker, I'll be working my way around this. The breakfast options are plenty and if you don't get their bacon you are missing out! The lunch sandwiches are served on a house made ciabatta style bread. Packed with fresh meats, cheeses and veggies. Every ingredient is perfectly seasoned and added delicately, not just items slapped on a roll. The Detroit pizza is what initially drew me in. While they have some options with more toppings, I'd say go for some of the more simple Detroit pies to really allow the famous crust to really shine through. My personal favorite so far is the white pie they do with roasted portobello mushrooms. I have only been for breakfast and lunch but with all the craft beer options I need to go back for dinner to sit and relax with some friends and family!

The cocktail menu looked delicious but we passed on drinking today. The beet salad had a nice twist with pears. My husband really liked the crispy duck dumplings, I can really appreciate the crisp which was perfectly executed. The soup of the day was a shrimp and crab chowder and was very tasty. Birria tacos left a little to be desired, a little salty and lacked a wow! The star of the meal was the mango and apricot sorbet! Perfect blend of deliciousness! Definitely recommend this place.
