Drove 15 minutes certainly worth the time. Very awesome cool ambience I got the grits which I was aching for they were good the omelette a little dense but still delicious service outstanding lively read more

Came all the way from Texas to have a Real Diner experience! Food is fantastic, Can't get anything like that in the South. My boyfriend's grandfather use to go there every morning to have breakfast. I now can see why he did. Will defiantly go back when we are back in town!!! read more

Breakfast food was average, but tasted like they don't clean the grill. Staff was a little rude. It's pretty small. Daddypops feels like a place that people only like because their family has been coming here for years. read more

Breakfast was ok. The home fries were very good. The steak needed alot of help. No flavor at all. I wont order that again.

It was ok. First, the service was a little weak, i.e., the waitress had too many tables. Also, you should always just drop the check off without asking at this type of place. Second, my hot roast beef was served lukewarm. Third, I make better homemade french fries so I was not really impressed by the "Daddy Fries". It was inexpensive and the portions were large so I will probably check it out again. read more

every time, i got good food and friendly service. don't forget!! it's cash only!! but i love this place!! read more

Daddypops - Everything omelette with three eggs. Perfect!!! - Diners Near Me - Hatboro, Pennsylvania

Daddy Pop's is an American treasure. They specialize in terrific breakfasts and lunches. Their service is excellent. I really enjoy bringing my whole family in for the experience of sitting in a trolley car. The interior is decorated very cleanly and gives you a warm experience. Their food is incredible. All the food is affordably priced. I would recommend this place to anyone. read more

Very good and affordable food. The food is traditional for the region and well made. My only complaints are the hours aren't very long and you MUST use cash. read more

this place should be named daddy slops the eggs I ordered were delivered on a plate of grease $3.95 for substituting raisin toast and not being told before, otherwise I would have skipped Never understood why there "used to be" long lines to get in to the place never will go there again read more

I had breakfast there 3 days ago. The service was good. The food was good but I was disappointed. I ordered over easy eggs, homefries with onions wheat toast and coffee. The eggs were perfect but small. They appeared to be medium sized eggs instead of large. The homefries were great but no onions. Toast was perfect but the waitress brought me one packet of strawberry jam. I would have preferred grape. I should have asked but was surprised that jelly was not on the table. Coffee was excellent. If I'm in the area, I might return but I will not make a special trip to go to Daddypops. read more

I try to come here at least once a month with my girlfriend. It has such a unique atmosphere about it and remains a quaint little diner. The food is amazing (I have only had breakfast) both in quantity and quality. The price is extremely reasonable and the coffee refills in a actually custom mug make you feel like your at your house instead of a diner. I would highly recommend this place if you want to have a comfortable and delicious breakfast read more

Fantastic breakfast joint. The flapjacks are tasty, and the French toast is gooey! It's hard to mess up an omlette, but let's face it...we have all been to that place that can do it. With that being said, I can also give them a thumbs up for making a great omlette. not a lot of space inside, but that offers a diner type atmosphere to eat in. To sum it up, it's worth the wait when the line is long read more

Very good lunch/breakfast place. Always crowded, but i don't mind. the omelets are good. I will come here when i'm at impact. it is very old, but clean, and inexpensive. read more

I've been going here since I was a kid. Never fails that you get great service and tasty food. One of those spots you just know is a solid choice for breakfast. The homefries and pancakes are the best in the area. read more

I love Daddypops. My husband and I have been coming here at least once a week for three years. Sometimes if I am awake early, I even drop by for breakfast before work. We are not wait in line people, but one the weekends make an exception for this classic diner. The wait is worth it! The food is well priced, filling and homey. I wouldn't always give it a five as compared to nice restaurants, but will when I compare it to other diners. I enjoy the Greek omelet and corned beef and Swiss cheese omelet and switch between ordering, grits (super smooth and creamy), beans and home fries with onions on the side. On the weekends the food is pretty much always amazing, though on week days it can vary depending on the chef. I also ordered a "healthier" breakfast of oatmeal and a side of kielbasa leading up to my wedding. The kielbasa is so amazing, split and fried on the grill and the oatmeal is always the right consistency. The service here is very friendly. Some of the wait staff are a bit older and forget things occasionally when they are busy, but they are always smiling. Many of them also get us our usual drink orders right away without having to ask. Anyhow, it is an awesome establishment and everyone should try it, even if that means the line is longer. .... also, I hate scrapple, so I can't comment on the quality of that as reported by "triple D." read more

I was born and raised in jersey, which is know for its diners. This was the BEST diner breakfast I've ever had. The home fries are out of this world! read more

Nice little dinner. Wonderful staff. Great tasting food. Small parking lot. Cash only. read more

We just had breakfast here and found everything to be solid. It's your standard diner food but it was good and affordable. I had the sausage gravy with biscuits (not the best I've had but wasn't upset to eat it). Service was quick and attentive, place is small but could be a little cleaner. Overall happy with our visit and we'll definitely be back! read more

Excellent breakfast with a wonderful waitstaff. I've never been disappointed with my food or service here. It's really a neighborhood gem. I love their corn beef hash. Overall just a great experience. read more

I went here for my youngest's birthday last week. I heard this place was on Diner's Drive ins and Dives and figured I would give it a shot. It is a small place so there was a wait for my family of six. It was a neat place, different from the average diner. Decent prices. The waitress seemed frazzled, but she was running around like crazy. The portions were fairly large. I ordered scrambled eggs and scrapple. The scrapple was by far the best I've ever had and the homefries were to die for! My son ordered pancakes. The syrup was prepackaged single serve containers which isn't enough for my syrup loving kids. The waitress seemed very annoyed that we kept asking for more. Everyone else seemed to really enjoy their meals. I would definitely come back again, just maybe not on the weekend. read more

This would've been a five star until we saw the cook out back smoking a cigarette and made our eggs turn in our stomach ready to throw them up. read more

Over rated and over priced, the food is like what you get at every dinner. However the price is just over the limit of dinners in our area. The place is small and dirty, and the staff is slow and clumsy. Food took a while to come out. And so did the bill, which was just not right, many stuff added to our bill that we didn't order. The menu was confusing and hard to understand. And at the end of the day the food was adverage, not the Hatboro "legend" I thought it would be. Next time your looking for a dinner head to Lancer's, much better. read more

Let's rob a bank, because I must be invisible... I have worked near this diner for 7 years and have never gone in, I was early today so I thought I'd get some breakfast to take back to work. The place was crowded, with a few people waiting at the door for tables. I skooched past and went up to the counter and stood, obviously waiting for someone to help me. No one bothered. A few minutes later a couple came in and asked if I was using the chairs next to me, I said no and moved down to let them sit. The server came over to them and gave them each a menu and said hello, ignoring me completely. OK, I'll wait, maybe she's getting MY menu. Nope. She comes back a few minutes later and asks them pleasantly if they want coffee, literally completely ignoring me sitting RIGHT THERE! Seriously!!! When she turned around I looked at the couple, who were also looking at me like WTF, and said, "I guess I'm invisible, so I'll leave." I ended up at McDonald's across the street. I am a good tipper and a very pleasant person normally, it pains me to write this review, but that was a horrible way to start the day. Thanks for nothing. read more

Diner food, but good diner food. Attention to details. Western omelette very tasty and served hot. Make their homefries from real 'taters. Plentiful food, unable to eat all of it. Service fast and friendly. Will go back for sure. Visited early May, 2017. read more

Busy place with local flavor. Nice service staff. Breakfast food good. However the cooks need some lessons on food handling while our meal was being prepared they chopping raw bacon on the same counter they were making sandwiches. The cook handle raw meat and did not wash their hands are the knife they were using. Kind of freaked me out the review would have been higher if it was not for the lack of food handling. I EAT OUT TO MUCH! read more

Absolutely love this place! Home fries, scrapple, and pancakes are to die for. Get there early in the winter if you don't want to wait in line outside on the weekends. read more

Went there for lunch. Old crusty Waitress came over after I sat at the counter for 5 or 6 minutes. This is a very small place. No way she didn't see me sitting there. She finally came over, never smiled or was friendly. I asked her a few questions about my selection and she looked annoyed. While waiting for my food I could see through the open doorway into the kitchen. I witnessed the cook cracking multiple eggs into his bare hand, squeezing them to break the yoke, and then flinging them into a frying pan, I assume for an omlette. YUK! When I went to the other end of the counter to pay, check in hand, the other old crusty waitress there, was standing at the register busy gabbing with a customer on and on completely ignoring me. I am never going back there again. read more

Great food, great atmosphere if you are looking for the true diner experience! Pure Americana. The only negatives I would give: customer service is fast, but not always the most friendly...not rude, but they don't go out of their way to be really friendly. Also they could be cleaner at times. You will have to wait on the weekends, only limited seating. But its worth the wait! read more

I, like many others, first heard about DaddyPop's after seeing it on Triple D and decided to give it a try. Since then I have been back multiple times and have introduced quite a few people to it. I love the biscuits and gravy as well as the creamed chipped beef, both are amazing and taste ALMOST as good as my grandma's. You really can't beat the prices on their menu, especially when the portion sizes are big enough to feed 2 people. Like a lot of people have said already, it is a really small diner and with the popularity of it don't be surprised to find yourself waiting at the door for a place to sit, ESPECIALLY if its a weekend morning, your just asking for atleast a 15 minute wait but its well worth it. The wait staff is very friendly and fast when it comes to the service. My only issue is that's its only open until 2pm and me being a sleep-in everyday kind of girl it's a pain to drag myself out of bed to get there when its still breakfast hours. But all in all I love DaddyPop's and am glad it got the credit it deserves by being features on Triple D. read more

I was advised to try this place since I'm a pancake-aholic, Daddy pops didn't disappoint. The breakfast specials are always nicely prepared, the portions are large. The service is great. This is truly a place to go for comfort food. The pancakes and french toast remind me of my grand moms cooking. read more

Diner Food, Average prices, limited seating, street parking (Strong police parking enforcement)

As many have said, good diner food. But let me add some details. Sausage: cooked until done, not leather, Bacon: crisp, not greasy. Spongy and chewy pancakes. 3 egg omelets are big cuz they use 3 eggs. Coffee was good and reliable. The only slight downer was the baked goods were not made there or nearby (easy to see commercial brands were used). But if you want good, solid diner food that doesn't upset your stomach and lasts till lunch easily, go here. It is definitely my wife and I's new breakfast joint (even though we are 30+ mins away). read more

holy macaroni Batman...low quality food and low quality service...lived in the area for years and years and have gone to a local competitor that whole time...we were literally around the corner from Daddypops so we decided to give it a try (should have gone to our usual spot)...we got there about 10:30 and were ready to eat...I ordered steak and eggs and my better half ordered cream chipped beef...my steak was cooked way too long and was not edible, like leather...the cream chipped beef was disgusting and like paste w.no flavor...they bring out a new steak which was barely as edible as the first one was...the service was HORRIBLE also...waitress was completely inattentive...I had my empty water glass at the edge of the table for ten minutes and she kept walking past me not even to check up on how we were doing...Maybe if I was a regular customer service might have been different...I had to flag her down for the check after waiting and waiting but she got sidetracked with answering an inbound call to the business then making a call thereafter...there was a group of 4 patrons waiting for a table to become available and they were leaning against the back of my booth w.their buttocks two inches from my head...why they were standing in the walkway as opposed to the waiting on the other side of the door I'll never understand...left check and cash on table and departed completely disappointed... P.S. Parking in their lot is absurd w.no lines painted anywhere cars tend to block other cars in. read more

I ate breakfast here once and lunch once. The food is good, but it is overpriced and they charged me for a refill of a soda.

Just had a delicious breakfast at this adorable diner. I recommend the French toast with real maple syrup! Great little spot that we'll be sure to visit again. read more

I have ate here many times over the years since I was a kid but today was just the worst experience I've ever had! First off my mother is disabled and can't walk without a walker and it took us quite some time to get up their steps since there is no ramp! Then we walked in and there were 4 empty booths but all were dirty along with every empty counter seat. We decided to sit after the staff told us they would clean it. The waitress came over to clean it and took our drink order and we waited for her to return with the drinks and menus. We got our drinks but no menu. When the menus arrived she told us she would be right back to take the order but she disappeared for almost ten more mins. 2 other booths sat and one counter person we ordered our food before any of them and were the last to get our food. I ordered 2 eggs over easy with a side of grits with butter. My egg yolks were all broken all over the plate as I thought "so much for dippy eggs" then my grits were so cold that the butter wouldn't even melt. Normally I love the food and staff but I can reassure you I will not waste my time or money there on a Wednesday again cause the staff is horrible. Had to ask 3 times for the check and finally had to go to the counter. Not a good first impression for the people who are a first timer there! I won't even mention the mouse that ran across the floor while we waited for our food!! Step it up daddy pops you've always been the best breakfast spot around but I will walk out the next time I go in there and I see the staff I saw today! read more

I wanted to like this place, but this is merely mediocre diner food. Doesn't compare to the Village Diner in Glenside or the Moonlight in North Hills. I was pretty disappointed--I wouldn't bother coming back. read more

Went here for the first time with my husband and best friend. All three of us were left disappointed and hungry. I had two bites of my "omelet" which tasted like it was out of a microwave. The home fries were bland and disgusting. I tried dousing them in the syrup but that didn't even help. Many pieces tasted uncooked. Both my husband and friend had ordered one of their combos - and my friends came with missing items. It took an extra 5 minutes to get the side orders. Husband's chocolate milk tasted awful so he got a soda instead - which came with things floating in it. My toast was stale bread that they thought the toasting would cover up. The bacon tasted like air and was hardly bacon at all. The coffee was good. That's all I could suggest anyone gets there ever if you find yourself wasting your time going there. I had heard great things about this place forever and couldn't believe how horrendous it all was. read more

Very cozy little place. The staff is what you would expect at a small home town diner. They love the regulars, but keep it short with the other customers. The food is excellent. I recommend everything they have on their menu. The portions are the perfect amount. I am not a portion person, just because a place gives you a lot of food doesn't mean it is good. Have been going for years, great food, great atmosphere. It is worth the wait, because there is going to be one. read more

Get one of the breakfast specials. Stuffed French toast is delish and bacon is nice and crispy. Excellent service.
