My child is a Freshman at Dacula High. He has a Learning Delay disability. He's been going to school online, since the pandemic and have been required to have his work submitted at the SAME time kids WITHOUT learning disabilities have to turn their work in! How fair is that? Needless to say, he's FAILING! I've had it out with at MINIMUM 3 teachers there, for them NOT answering my emails of my concern with my son's missing assignments being turned in and not graded and what can he do to make up work. Ms. Arrington Art Teacher & Ms. Farmer Science Teacher are pieces of WORK! They don't give 2 f's about MY child. Those are the 2 that DELIBERATELY ignored my emails, of me trying to get help for my son! Ms. Farmer 1st Semester ignored my emails, UNTIL I had my sons Academic Advisor contact her. She did NOT show for his Zoom IEP Meeting. Unexcused and unapologetic about it. She didn't even email a follow-up. When I did speak to her, she still didn't apologize for not contacting me nor missing his IEP meeting. Ms. Arrington actually has NOT still to date contacted me, trying to get in touch with her since JANUARY. Arrington actually had the principal Mr. Long contact me for her, once I decided to give her a piece of my mind last month after she had a CLERK contact me for her about an assignment. Although Mr. Long has been quick to respond to my emails and verbally show concern, he still made an EXCUSE for Arrington ignoring me. I literally contacted my son's Academic Advisor, Counselor AND Vice President Grant about Arrington and allegedly ALL 3 of these people did not relay my message to Arrington according to the Principal. WOW! But he swears, my feelings on his staff NOT caring about my son's success is EXAGGERATED by me! I went to the school in person, on January 25Th, to get confirmation of a program I enrolled my son in, to help him with one of the classes he failed 1st Semester and report Arrington, that's when I spoke with VP Grant. She unenrolled my son from the academic make-up program and stated there was a FREE program, he can take on his lunch breaks instead of after school as the program I initially enrolled him. GREAT! My son has NOT been enrolled in that class VP Grant stated he would. I emailed her the other day about it, she states they decided NOT to enroll him based on he's failing already and more load will not help him. I can choose to reenroll him or wait for Summer Courses. Well VP Grant, you KNEW all of this the day you talked to me. And WHERE was my FOLLOW-UP call or email, when you changed your mind?! POOR communications skills, unprofessional and they do NOT care about kids with Special Needs, at least NOT mine! Take your kids to Norcross or Buford, they're the better school anyways. Hopefully, my son will NOT be attending here next school year. Too much bad blood and too many FAKE staffers for me to ever feel comfortable my sons education is in their BEST interest (which they claim). My support for my son alone is NOT enough. He doesn't believe in himself at school because THEY show they don't! He even told me himself on 2 occasions, the counselor Grant sounds like she's reading a SCRIPT, when they speak! read more

the asian waitress was being mean and rude and she spilled flour all over me and pulled my hair so now I have a blad patch and she wrecked my favourite dress. I also head some asian language coming from the kitchen and it sounded like airy voices that were fight so I used google translate and they said the customer outside is stinky and she has a big forehead. also the otherlady was sweating but I don't want to repeat the bad words.then the chef shoved nuts into the wairesses moth and the waitress turned into a ballon. so don't go their they are crazy read more

Been here for four years. If I could give it 0 stars, I would. I have a disability, known as ADHD. They never took it seriously, and completely disregarded it. Whenever I had trouble with my assignments, they just put me in a room for the entire day with absolutely no help. You just had to sit there, and be silent. You got your work handed to you, but it doesn't help whenever you have no idea how to do it. This was called ISS. (In school suspension.) They would punish their students for not knowing how to do the school work, and the same thing happened for LOP. They would just make you miss your normal school lunch. They give you a paper bag with two slices of bread and one slice of cheese. That is your lunch for LOP and ISS. All of the teachers here are very restricted on what they can teach, and a lot of them don't know how to teach. There are a few good teachers, but they always end up leaving for another school. The counselors are not good at all, and always sound like they're reading off of a script. The students that go here aren't always the best either, on some days it smelled like weed in the hallways and I remember when I was using the restroom before and I threw away a tissue after I washed my hands, there was a used pregnancy test in the trashcan. I would say that this is the same for most Gwinnett County public school. Gwinnett County's school board and the people there are very corrupt and biased. In my years of being in Dacula, majority of the time it seems that the teachers are friends with the principal, and that's the only reason why they're there. This was the exact same case in Dacula Middle and Dacula Elementary school. If you live in Gwinnett, do not send your child to any of these schools please to save your child and your family from trouble. They caused me and my parents hell the entire time I was here.
