A nice night at the field! Parking was super easy & FREE! Paid parktis available, but the lot is not THAT BIG YOU. Easy access! Nice lot staff to guide & help before the game. As you can imagine food & beverage are not allowed from outside the park. Staff check bags upon entry. Food & beverage are NOT cheap (why I gave 4 stars), but they have a lot to offer for a smaller park. We ate before we went so stuck with beverages & Dippin' Dots only. Oh, my son got fried pickles & they were REALLY good!! They have a few activities for children; bounce house & the back lawn to run around. PLEASE be careful on the lawn- one child was hit in the face with a ball hit hot off of a bat when we were there. There is no net to stop them from getting out there. My husband saw him in a wheelchair going to medical. Yikes, I hope he's going to be OK!!! A fun night, good music & a win for the Stipers. Tickets are reasonable, depending on where you sit & the park is pretty much open to do as you please while there. Be respectful, always! Come check'em out with the family. We came here for the Big Green Egg's "Eggtoberfest" event. This was our first time going to the event and this stadium. We had to park a little far away but overall had a good experience. Some of the food tents on the upper level were a little cramped with people waiting in lines, so we preferred strolling around amongst the vendors on the field itself. Cool venue for an event like this. Lots of places to sit, clean bathrooms, parts covered in shade. Would definitely come back. read more

It was a first time for me at coolray field and I was thoroughly impressed. The place was very big and very beautiful. The service from the staff was amazing, the shop owners were helpful and friendly. I felt very safe and was absolutely delighted by my visit. The only small issue was leg room in the regular seats. But the most impressive part were the fireworks at the end. Absolutely spectacular. Plenty of parking and no hills or difficult steps to get into the park. The stadium gets 5 stars for comfort, ticket availability, and sight lines. This is a great place to watch a game. Chopper is the mascot who will keep the kiddies entertained. They have all the zany between inning gags as well. Sometimes there is a dog who fetches bats. A Stripers game is a good time. Concessions? Steeeeerike three. Most decent food items (bratwurst, Italian sausage, bacon jam footlong, fried Oreos, etc.) are mostly unavailable or no longer offered. On a typical game, most stands will be closed with that insipid "Gone Fishin' " sign out front. They only sell basic, rotgut, boring food most games. Cheap quality hot dogs that taste like Bar-S, frozen burger patties, etc. are what you will find. "Boneless" Chicken wings (actually nuggets) had okay sauce but were like the frozen ones from the store. Stick to chips, peanuts, Cracker Jack, King of Pops (rare), Dippin' Dots, and anything else that can't be cooked. The good news is there are a ton of restaurants nearby. Even the Costco food court is not too far away. Grab a $1.50 high quality, all beef dog and soda before the game. Eat before you go and maybe grab a snack at the park. Great local ball park right in the neighborhood of Gwinnett County next to Mall of Georgia. Been to two games so far courtesy of my eldest son's school band performances during 7th inning stretch. Clean, great seats close to the action and good ballpark food make this a great place to catch a minor league baseball game. Parking is plentiful but cost a few bucks payable via credit card. This is a great venue for smaller minor league baseball games. This is the home of the Gwinnett Stripers formerly Gwinnett Braves. The stadium in connected to an apartment complex which gives a great small town feel. There is a lot of parking and it should/might cost $5 for general parking. Volunteers are quick and get you parking under 5 minutes upon entering the parking lot. Stadium is heavy monitored by police and stadium staff. Also, this stadium is very clean and restrooms were clean - women, men, and big family restrooms. We came for the Farmview Market UGA vs. Georgia Tech baseball game supporting Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. Tickets were $15.00 and that seems to be the going rate for tickets here. It was for general admission and we got to sit anywhere, so front row it was! There are plenty of seats and seems to well laid out. How the stadium is built, if you attend an evening game, the sun should not be an issue for majority of the seating as the back-end high point of the building blocks the setting sun. For this game they event had jumpies for kids, but closed it down early around 5pm while the game still had another 30-45min in the game. That did make my daughter cry - so I had to knock it down for that. Food - food is okay here, we had gotten a large warm pretzel ($5), which was kind of dry, bag of Cracker Jacks popcorn ($3), which was standard, nachos with cheese ($5), which was warm and fresh. My husband got a basket of chicken tenders and fries ($10) which was the highlight of the food we got. We also took advantage of the $8 refillable cup and was able to have 2 32+oz drinks during our game. Food and drink was kind of a high price point for the location and seems to be in the same "ballpark" like Suntrust Park/Turner Field. Had to also knock them down for food prices. Coolray field is a great venue with reasonably priced tickets allowing fans to enjoy a legit ballpark experience without breaking the bank. As a matter of fact, we'd have purchased one of the home packages if it weren't for the ugly wart of the apparent doubling of the $5 parking fee of just last year. Perhaps the fee is justifiable on weekend games when demand outstrips capacity, but paying $10 parking while driving into what looks like substantially below a 5% occupancy just seems like some bean-counter got greedy without keeping the bigger picture in mind. Coolray/Stripers should keep weekday parking pricing at a very low cost (or even free for weekday matinee games) and juice the weekend demand if they must. This will make causal fans (like us) much more likely to be repeat customers filling seats and spending money at the park instead of just reading the Stripers' game recap in the Gwinnett Daily post the next day. read more

Finally decided to come to a game and sad to say it'll be my last. I won't be spending another dollar in the concession stands as they sell you a souvenir cup and don't allow refills on soda. $7 for a cup and soda yet no refills. Upon looking at the signs there is nothing written stating no refills. This is theft and a scam. Since the stands are empty for games I would've thought this establishment would try to entice paying customers to come but no. Instead you'll be charged $7 for a soda with no refills. read more

What a nice field! I was invited to Coolray field for a school alumni event, and i'm kinda a fan guys! Very clean, open field at Coolray, I really had a good time not only watching the game but visiting several of the vendors for food and drinks. Seats here are pretty comfortable and there's not very many "bad" seats for game watching. Truth be told, although we had decent seats, our large group ultimately moved a bit closer because the stands were bare bones empty, which is a shame! Bathrooms here are also a dream. I walked in and there was a long row of urinals with just one guy there. I had my pick of this very clean restroom, with no sticky floors, fowl smells or long lines. Prices for food and drink are about what you would expect for sporting events. One quick comment is when you order a beverage, the plastic straws and plastic lid are no longer handed out to anyone. There are no alternatives either, I suppose unless you bring your own. This was at Basic Bait, although all vendors seemed to perform this way. My only gripe with Coolray field is the parking situation. Some of my friends were told to pay for parking at the front. I was told I needed $5 in cash, and I basically had to raid my car and scrounge up $5 in change. I wish they took credit/debit, or allowed everyone to pay at the ticket window. Will call is to the left of the ticket area, and although I didn't PAY for my ticket, I saw ticket prices as cheap as $9 and as expensive as $20. If you like baseball (FYI, the Gwinnett Braves are now called the Gwinnett Stripers) and want to have a family friendly outing that wont break the bank, Coolray field may be a solid bet for you! read more

Going to SunTrust Park can be enjoyable, but I love the more intimate setting of minor league baseball stadiums such as Coolray Field, home to the Gwinnett Stripers, the AAA affiliate of the Atlanta Braves. It's nice to be close to the action and not feel swallowed up by it all. Plus, seeing top prospects on the cusp of being in the big leagues is really exciting. I definitely had a ball (pun intended) at a recent baseball game here. Coolray Field is conveniently located almost right off I-85. Parking was a cinch with clearly marked entrances for general admission parking and numerous folks guiding you to a spot. Unfortunately parking isn't free, but $5 cash isn't too terrible and you're right outside the stadium. The stadium opened in 2009 but doesn't feel 10 years old. The building, seats, field, restrooms, and lot all seem to be in good shape. There are plenty of promotions scheduled throughout the season. I was pleasantly surprised to take home a free Stripers t-shirt even though it wasn't listed on the promo calendar. Score! I have no idea about the taste and cost of concessions, but be aware that you can't bring in your own food and drinks. A sealed bottle of water is okay though. On that note, I didn't see any bag size restrictions on the Stripers website, but I'd stick to small and medium-sized ones just to be safe. Purchase your tickets ahead of time through the dreaded Ticketmaster to save a few bucks and snag better seats. Prices vary but don't seem to be more than ~$20, excluding fees. The Stripers dugout is by third base and the visiting team by first. Coolray Field holds about 10,500 fans. And with that capacity, I'm sure there aren't any really bad seats to be had! read more

I had a great evening here at Coolray Field with ACS. I simply love this park. Unfortunately, not too many locals feel the same. I'm used to going to games where the stands are packed! This was not the case here. If there were 100 people in the entire park that was a lot. The hotdogs, hamburgers, stew and sides looked delectable. However I'm still vegetarian so I found another option. I went down to Burgertopia and decided to try their veggie burger. I am so glad I did! It was the best veggie burger I've had in years! We had a suite for our group that was to die for! Leather recliners, luxury stools and a full bar! I am too blessed to be stressed! We went for Mother's Day. Parking was easy to access for a fee of $5. The lady at the ticket window suggested the side without the sun blasting down on us. I was surprised by the low attendance but considering it is roughly 38 miles from the MLB Braves, I guess it's the norm. Although, I don't recall any Triple A team being this close to their parent club. The food was blah, meaning no locally known dishes or items, at least not from what I could see on the menu. This should be a perfect place for a family night out to the ballgame. However, I continue to be disappointed at each visit. The food lines were awfully long again, causing many in my party to miss much of the game (you know, kids want to eat). Before the Stripers threw the first pitch, a few stalls were out of hotdogs. How do you run out of hotdogs at a baseball game? Also, these are major league prices, with a foot-long dog running $10.00 and a domestic beer at $9.00. Watched my first baseball game here two Sundays ago: Gwinnett Braves versus Charlotte Knights. Sadly the date was rooting for his NC Knights while I was rooting for the Braves. Although this was a minor league game, it was fun nonetheless. There were plenty of places to grab food. If you're going to buy draft beer, I would suggest buying the souvenir cup or whatever it's called. The regular small cup is just a plain cup that's going to cost you about $5. So for $2 more, you can actually keep something that has a logo on it. There is also a souvenir place to grab some mementos as well. You get a soccer ball as you entered, and little kiddies get a baseball stress ball as you leave. Yeah. I don't know why anyone would give out a soccer ball at a baseball event. There are of course promotional booths, a mini baseball toss game booth, and a face painting booth as well. The field here was pretty small, but you know, it does the trick. This was definitely an easy place to find since it's right down the road from the Mall of Georgia. It's really close to BrandsMart. Parking was plentiful so no worries there. read more

Great priced tickets for a game, location so easy to get to and love that parking is only $5 and is right next to the field - don't even have to cross a street. The Atlanta Stripers did a great job with their Star Wars night promotion. They had adorable bobbleheads they distributed as you came through the gate, lots of folks dressed up in costume roaming around to take pictures with and they even had a scavenger hunt where you looked for cutouts of Darth Vader's helmet - very fun!!! There seemed to be plenty of places to purchase food and drinks and I never saw any of the lines back up. In addition to the seats there were grass areas that you could sit on (or let the kids run around on) and open seating at hightop tables/chairs. But I'd recommend packing a cooler for your car. Bottled waters are $4!! We saw many people with coolers filled with goodies and drinks to cut down on cost. Since the field is small, seating is decent no matter where your seat is. If you get an opportunity to go for the 4th of July, take the family. They have an AMAZING fireworks show at the end that will keep you coming back every year. Honestly, the game was like watching paint dry for me. I think I checked out after the 3rd inning. However, there were plenty of things to keep the youngins busy like inflatable bounce houses and such ($10 for unlimited or $2 per ticket). The Gwinnett Braves lost, but I don't blame it on them. You see, ever since I've come to Georgia, I can't seem to be lucky enough to attend a home game where one of our Atlanta teams wins! Every ATL Braves, Hawks and Thrashers game I've attended ends in a loss... so it must be me! For some reason, there is nothing more fantastic when visiting a ballpark than watching a baseball sail the full distance of the field for a home run! I just love it and that glorious crack of the bat! Chopper, the Gwinnett Braves mascot, was awesome!!! Loved his energy :-) As for the food, I didn't care for the taste of my pretzel, but the hot dogs were good and the burgers smelled awesome. Went here with wifey and step-sonny for a 7:30pm game. Apparently the game from the day before had been cancelled due to the other team not arriving in time to play so they started a double-header at 5pm and didn't even tell anyone about it on their website. So we get to the park around 6:15pm and find out "Oh crap, the game has already started!" and we're pissed until a fan tells us it is the game from the day before and "our" game will still be played around 7:30 or so. So we got two games for the price of one -- actually for free because a wonderful season ticket holder gave us three tickets to hang out in his awesome seats. We had a great time and stayed for the fireworks too. Only one complaint. If you guys want to draw more fans, lower the ridiculous price of the food. You should not expect fans to fork over $35+ for three burgers, two beers, and a glass of wine. Make it reasonable so "regular" people can enjoy the game and a burger/hotdog without having to plan for it in advance. People should be able to say, "Hey honey, want to have dinner at the stadium and catch a game tonight?" not "Ok, so if we save our money and don't go out for two weeks, we can go catch a baseball game two Tuesdays from now". Anyway, I give the stadium five stars for the experience and setting and minus two stars for beverage and food pricing. If you brought it down to reasonable amounts for semi-pro local baseball, you'd have many more fans filling all those empty seats. read more

been here 2x so far and am a big fan of this place. The saturday games are quite packed especially if they are 'giving away' free items. They always do some kind of fun event as well during that time period, such as ''run the bases and dress up'', or ride the inflatable horse or a kids dancing contest. They have some great specials as well, as we did a 'friends and family' package the first time, which got us a free hat, coupon for a burger @ culvers, as well as our seat. It was also a free t-shirt day, so we got that as well...all for $15 per person. The seats we got were 3rd base line, around 15 rows up The 2nd time we went, we got seats on the other side of the stadium. Paid 'normal' prices, but even that, they were quite inexpensive! For a baseball game, we paid $20 per seat for 3rd row over the dugout on 1st base line) Food: On days that they are packed, they have a lot of food items and availability. This ranges from your typical hotdog, hamburger, chicken fingers to BBQ stations and a mexican area as well (nachos, etc.). HOWEVER, on week day games, where the stadium may not be as full, only 1 of the food areas may be open, and its on the far side of the stadium (3rd base side) If you want beer, your best bet is to get the draft beer, because you'll get a 'souvenir cup' with it as well. If you buy regular soda drinks, opt for the large, because it is only slightly more expensive, but you'll get a souvenir cup as well. Overall, this is a great place to visit, bring friends and family and enjoy a 'major' league game feel in the minor league world! read more

Our Department attended a G-Braves game on June 7, 2017. There were 14 people in our party. The weather was spectacular and so was the venue/accommodations. I worked with Jason to schedule our "Teambuilding Event". The scheduling process was easy thanks to Jason. He made professional suggestions of seating locations and he was accurate, our seating was excellent and very comfortable. We greatly appreciated Jason coming to us upon our arrival and introducing himself. The food was very substantial, delicious and served hot. Kimberly, our server was friendly, professional and most of all patient with our request for attendees with dietary restrictions. Jim was friendly at the bar. I/we would highly recommend this venue. When talks began of building a stadium for a Triple-A baseball team to be built in Gwinnett, I griped. I complained. I vented about the increase of traffic. But now I am super glad that Coolray Field is there! The stadium is conveniently located near 85 and the Mall of Georgia. The field is less than five minutes from the interstate. You can even maneuver your way into the stadium through some back roads, specifically, Old Peachtree Road, and enter through the apartment complex that backs up to the stadium. As a smaller stadium, the parking lot isn't an expansive as the parking lot at Turner Field. But the good side of that is the cheaper price. We paid $5 for parking on Friday night, which was the Opening Game for the season. Even if we parked in the farthest spot, it isn't a bad walk. The parking lot is large enough to tailgate though! We saw some grills, some chairs, and those tent covers with people crowded under them. We bought our tickets online and printed them out, so getting through the gates was a breeze. The gate attendant checked my purse, scanned my ticket and I was in! Easy peasy! Even better, the first 2000 people to the game got a free Opening Day tshirt! I made sure to grab my free swag and ventured into the stadium. Being a smaller stadium means less concession stands, less concession stands means longer lines for food/booze. Even though I was really hungry, I decided to find my seat first. While walking to my section, there were a handful of vendors set up giving out free stuff. I got a free cup from Great Wraps, some swag from Dave & Busters and I made sure to pick up some tennis balls for their Tennis Ball Toss after the game. Our seats were in Section 104 Row L. We were behind home plate about 1/2 down. Seats behind home plate at The Ted range from $60-$120/ticket depending on the game, but these tickets were a whopping $17/ticket! For food, Coolray has the typical concession stand variety with pretzels, hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza and popcorn. I opted from the chicken finger platter, an extra order of fries and a collector's cup (which gets me free refills). All that was $10.50! My husband got a hot dog, fries and a drink for $12. That isn't too bad for stadium food. That same order costs us $47 at Turned Field! Towards the 7th inning we got some funnel cake ($6) and boiled peanuts ($5) to munch on. During the game the promotions team works hard to make this a very family friendly event. They had the bottle cap race, dance cams, people on the field racing, kids running the bases, and some guy PROPOSED on the big screen! This is a very kid-friendly atmosphere. To top off the night, they have Friday Night Fireworks! And I'm not talking about some crap fireworks from a Wal-mart parking lot. No sir, this was a really great show. The firework show lasted about 15 minutes and the whole time your jaw was dropped. After the fireworks they did their Tennis Ball toss. All tennis balls have numbers on them and you try to throw them into a kiddie pool placed on 1st and 3rd base. If you're lucky, you'll get the ball into a metal bin on 2nd base. If your ball makes it into the pool, you get tickets to another game. You pay for the balls, but all proceeds go to the Gwinnett Braves Foundation. The G. Braves lost, but we still had a great time. If you watch the roster, the Braves send injured players to recover in Triple-A, so you may catch a game with Gattis, Freeman, Uggla or one of the Uptons. I visit a lot of minor League Baseball parks and cool Ray is at the bottom of the list of triple A parks. A lot of double a parks a several steps ahead of this facility. The field and players are great, it's the park itself that lacks. The sound system is good at best but only if you sit close to the field. Sit up in the shade and you cannot understand a word because of the echoes There is only a limited choice of food items ( no where near the choices of Charlotte or Augusta) and priced at the major league level. Just the few choice at several open stands (if open) no variety. Go to two nights and you see the same between inning games. Again no variety. A a silly rodent mascot for a team named after a fish. Only in Atlanta--remember the toothpaste mascot for the olympics Enjoy a game and see players working hard but expect no more your $100+ evening read more

Pretty fun spot to enjoy a baseball game or one of the many events they host at the stadium. I have come here with the entire family several times and enjoyed watching the games or being a part of events like earth day. Unlike the many different minor league parks I have attended this park is clean and feels more like a major league stadium. It has cool club level with a bar and restaurant inside and then the general admission seats where you bring your own blanket and are located right in front of a fun play area of inflatables and slides for kids in center field. They have lots of food options a cool little gift shop and just about every seat is comfortable for watching the game. Parking is ample and it is located in an are right off of 85 in the opposite direction of the mall. Staff is very friendly and overall this place is a good spot to hang with the family. read more

So...went to our first Gwinnett Braves game last night...and while the Braves were cool...the stadium, to me, was lacking in customer service. Overall...Coolray Field is quite nice...the seats are ok (as good as can be expected!) and the layout is good. The problem I had...which really degraded the night...was the overall customer service. FIrst...the "Team Store"...wanted to buy a ballcap...and, while I realize crowds make it tough, they did not seem to have enough people to help out (this becomes a theme). It took quite a bit of time to get "checked out" when we were ready to pay. But...not too bad...it gets worse... Second...getting two hot dogs and a bottle of water. This took FOREVER...and...one of the hot dogs was to be plain...well, they KEPT putting stuff on it...I had to reorder twice to get them to NOT put anything on it. And...we could not purchase the french fries to go with the hot dogs...please go wait in this other line for those! I waited in line for the hot dogs for about 15 minutes...two hot dogs! Third...the fries...while I am waiting on our hot dogs, wifey goes over to get the Fries...she has to reorder them TWICE as well...because they kept putting salt on the fries to the point that they were inedible! Now, we like salty fries...but these were ridiculous...and...she had to wait about 10 minutes! Finally...the straw that broke the back...I went back to get some ice cream...and after waiting in line for 2 full innings of baseball (and you KNOOOOOWWW how long that can take)...the lady at the cash register decides that "I have to go over to our other stand to get a tub of ice cream, please wait"...I FREAKED out! YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME! THERE IS NO ONE ELSE IN THIS CONCESSION STAND WITH 10 PEOPLE IN IT THAT CAN WALK OVER THERE SO YOU CAN SERVE THE 12 CUSTOMERS IN LINE FOR ICE CREAM? This may simply be one of the WORST customer service experiences ever. Will I go back? Preferably not...but...given that there is no choice if I want to see the Gwinnett Braves play, I probably will. But...as I said in my tip...bring your own food! Hopefully, somebody in the management of the stadium will pay heed to this...as this type of experience could kill the entire operation there. For a ball game, you want to be able to come out in a relaxed atmosphere...get a hot dog (within a reasonable amount of time) and then enjoy sitting, watching the game and the people. read more

Coolray field is a great place. It is family friendly. It is easy to get in and out of. The staff is always helpful and friendly. They always have different activities going on through out the games. There is not a bad seat in the stadium. Me and my family enjoy going to watch the G Braves, win or lose it's always a great time. read more

Great location, great stadium, and a great place to watch a game! Not a good showing today with a loss, but still holding 1st place. I enjoy the Sunday afternoon games, next up Charlotte, until July then evening games come into play. I have had a couple of corporate events here last year and will do about two this year. Yes, it is AAA but it is much better than the Lexus (when I held season tickets at Turner) when it comes to pricing! This is a great alternative to the NBL and a good time. The best of all, if your in the Northern Atlanta burbs you can go to a great game, with great seats, with great commute time! Keep your eye out for the family specials, veteran days, bark in the park, etc., again great times. read more

I was very disappointed to find out all you had was medium and xl shirts for the commemorative for Hall Of Fame shirts for Booby Cox. I am excited to have one but needed a 2xl in order to wear it. This was not fair for those that got there early and waited in the hot sun hoping to get their size. That should have been noted for the ticket sales to inform everyone.
