This was my first time at Cobb energy performing center. Came by for an Atlanta ballet performance of Giselle. The venue is beautiful and the seating is really good we're almost everyone gets a good view of the stage. One star less for overpriced parking. Online it said it was $10 but on the event day they bumped it up to $20. I did not try the offerings at the concessions but they had the standard popcorns nachos and drinks available. They do restrict back sizes so do look that up on your specific shows instructions. Look forward to coming back for Opera performances and other shows. read more

Whether you're coming for a concert, a show, opera, or what have you, the space for the performance will be good. It was my first time here, and while I don't enjoy getting emails about what's happening at Cobb Energy, I would go again if something catches my eye. Getting here was pretty easy, and there seemed to be a good bit of parking, which was straightforward and didn't feel too dangerous to leave your car sitting out. For those who prefer getting dropped off and picked up from the venue, there was a clear path to do so that wasn't crowded and busy like at bigger venue. They offer food and drinks that you'd see at other venues, and the prices are about what you expect. The attendants are on the older side, but I suppose that would be expected for a performing arts center. They direct foot traffic and try to get everyone to where they need to be. They will check your ticket upon entry (not just security at the door) to give instructions on where your seat will be. They are pretty strict after the performance though and will usher you out. read more

First as a venue, lovely. Ambience is to oscale and great views and dound. Volunteers are wonderful as are all the staff. Drinks good. But all things being equal I WOULD NEVER SEE A SHOW AT THIS VENUE AGAIN UNLESS I HAD NO OTHER CHOICE TO SEE THAT ARTIST OR SHOW BECAUSE OF THRIR COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT TRAFFIC AND PARKING MANAGEMENT. THE experience almost completely erased the joy of anticipation before the show and the euphoria of a great performance afterwards. I have been to the arena for ballet, and didn't really have problems getting in and out. But to make money, they needed to expand to pop, rock, and comedians. Treating double headers of comedians like a ballet performance is idiotic. Every serious venue now prepays parking to speed entry & has attendants helping with traffick flow. Flow cars to the top down. And with limited parking, arrange with neighboring empty office building to make parking decks available like the braves & falcons do. There is NO ALTERNATIVE TO THE COBB DECK IF 1000 parking spots all in & out through 2 entrances. read more

The food is pricey but it was good. The pretzel was salty salty.. I still ate it (don't judge me) get cheese or it's dry. Service- EVERYONE was nice. The chaperones were all phenomenal. The ambiance well it's the Cobb Energy..... the performances was nothing short of amazing! Will Downing & Jeffery Osborne did that.... I love this place for concerts, shows and the like. Not a bad seat in the house and the acoustics are good. Bathrooms are clean and plenty of them, never any issues as Cobb County PD is always present and accounted for. This was my second time at this venue and it still does not disappoint! There is plenty of parking($17). The inside is nice, not too big, nor too small. I love it! There looks to be no bad seat in the house. I've done tier 2 and this recent event 2nd row. The staff are always pleasant and very helpful. I was here December 1, to see my top favorite rapper Jadakiss perform with an orchestra and it was great, great!! They offer concession style food hot dogs, popcorn, pretzels, etc. but they do have a full bar. If you have ever been curious about going to show here, definitely go check it out. And they have clean restrooms....Win!!! read more

Attending a recent performance of Sonic Symphony at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center was a complete disappointment--not because of the performance itself, which was (and always is) fantastic, but because of the utterly unprofessional and downright rude behavior of the venue's staff. Between tickets, concessions, merchandise, and parking, my party spent over $600. For that amount, I expected to feel like a valued guest, but the way I was treated at the end of the night left me feeling like little more than an inconvenience. At the end of the show, I experienced a bathroom emergency. When I tried to use the restroom, I was met with blocked access and an employee who couldn't have cared less about my situation. Despite explaining my urgent need, I was rudely told I could only use a restroom that was fully occupied, because apparently, the rest of the venue was "closed." This lack of empathy and basic decency was shocking. What's even more upsetting is seeing other reviews here that detail similar experiences--ushers and staff who treat paying guests with impatience and hostility, rushing them out of the venue as though they can't leave fast enough. It's clear this isn't an isolated incident but rather a pervasive attitude that undermines the entire guest experience. Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center, you need to do better. Having frequented [often] the Fox and the Alliance, as well as other smaller venues in the metro area, I have never experienced, at any of them, the kind of horrific disregard I was met with tonight. The performances you host deserve a staff that matches their professionalism, not one that actively ruins the experience for paying guests. I won't be returning until this venue learns how to treat people with the respect they deserve. For now, at least until this situation is addressed and fully rectified, I sadly can no longer recommend this place to anyone. Recent communication with Cobb Energy's administration have been underwhelming. Any effort on my part to get the situation resolved has been met with extreme apathy and avoidance. read more

I absolutely love this venue! There's literally not a bad seat in the house. It's nicely decorated, restrooms are always well maintained, they have several bars to accommodate the guests adequately as well. We went to see the Jazz Explosion this past Sunday. When I say it was an amazing concert, it was!!!! The artists were Mindi Abair (which we missed because we were coming back from Orlando ), Norman Brown - who did an incredible performance, and R&R - Richard Elliot and Rick Braun - absolutely killed it!!! There is not a bad seat in the house! This is a great venue with comfortable seating and easy access. The parking garage is close enough to not have to walk in the elements or endure extreme temperatures. That's also a bonus. We had tickets at will call and retrieval was a simple process. Once inside, we found the staff to be friendly and eager to help. We were directed to our seats and enjoyed the clarity of the audio system. I wish more artists would perform here instead of arenas and stadiums. This was clearly intended for music and vocals. They sounded great. While we didn't try any concessions, they were available. We saw a full bar, sandwiches and snacks as options. Not sure of the prices compared to other venues, but they had a very nice variety to choose from. read more

We received tickets for the Glenn Miller Orchestra performing at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center. What a good experience! The band was amazing! The venue was perfect for this event. Honestly, there isn't a bad seat in the house. The acoustics are good, the seats are pretty comfortable, and everything is clean. We went for Madama Butterfly's last performance this season. A few things on my mind... The organization sent good and informative emails for prep. The reality at the door was a bit more chaotic... from access to the parking lot (that was the longest I've ever waited to turn to the lot in my life), staff not equipped to receive cashless payments (it's the 21St century... might be worth updating the systems), and the entrance bottleneck... I mean... this is not the first show they've had, right? Going up to our seats was fine, the seats themselves were some of the most uncomfortable I've been in in a while - not ideal for 3h sitting down. The worst of it was... leaving... we were in a line to exit the parking deck for a good hour. About time Atlanta expands the MARTA away from the city center... this place and the Battery could certainly benefit from that. Not to mention the environment... read more

The food was okay. Eat before you go if possible. We sat in RMEZZ 2&4 , which is an aisle, and seats were pretty decent. View was good. All seats are inclined so you are not looking at the back of anyone's head. Some friends wanted to see Don Quixote by Atlanta Ballet. Tickets were relatively affordable; we chose seats that came out to just under $50. I didn't have a chance to check on parking details (one friend bought all of our tickets and we paid her back), so I sweated a bit when I pulled up to the parking garage and saw a guy accepting cash for parking ($15). Luckily I found a $20 in my wallet...not sure if the attendant had a card reader. There was a long line of cars trying to get in, so definitely arrive at least 20 minutes before show time since you also have to go through security (metal detector), I saw others say this in reviews too, but the exterior definitely looks more fancy than the interior. I thought the rows were pretty close together...just me? The height of the tiers could be improved; I had to lean over in my seat a bit to see between the two heads in front of me. I was impressed by the stage design and the set. The performance was great! The concessions area was packed before the show and during intermission. They definitely could use more space to accommodate another stand for people to get food (there were two bars set up). People came back into the room just in time for the show starting back up. read more

I have lived in Cobb County for a number of years, but never had the pleasure of visiting The Cobb Energy Centre. This all changed when a friend was unable to attend the ballet that she purchased a ticket for. As noted above, I visited the center to watch the ballet. In an effort to not have to deal with parking, I was dropped off. This process was simple. The parking staff directed us to turn left and we were right at the front entrance. Directly before entering the facility my ticket was scanned. The next step was to go through security. The staff did a very thorough search of my purse. After making it past security I saw the concession area so I headed in that direction. The concession is small, but offered items such as popcorn, candy, and both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. I was going to purchase some popcorn but did confirm that food was not allowed inside the theater. Finding my seat was easy. They have signs that assist. Once you arrive at the door closest to your seat they do have ushers to assist you. I was seated to the right of the stage, and slightly off the floor. It was a perfect seat to me! It was comfortable and I had plenty of legroom. The venue is well designed and laid out, ensuring excellent views of the stage from every seat in the house. The sound system is top-notch, providing crystal-clear audio that complements the performances perfectly. One of the things that truly sets the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre apart is its diverse range of programming. From Broadway shows and musicals to classical concerts and comedy acts, there is something for everyone here. The venue hosts world-class performers from around the globe, making it a must-visit destination for culture enthusiasts. What a lovely evening. We have always wanted to experience going to the opera. They say it's an ethereal experience. Listening to symphonic music in accord with lofty beautiful impressive opera. The story is incredibly interesting but not unfamiliar with todays approach to irresponsibility and lack of tact. The poor woman who's love interest during the war prompted an unexpected turn of events in which she bore him a child. Then the solder heads back to the states and proceeds to carry on with a life separate from the mother and child who in the other side of the ocean hoping he will come back to reclaim them both. The cool thing is that they on top of the stage where the curtains are is a super caption. Incredibly useful for us and the other theater goers. The words are transcribed here along with some Thematic set ups. I highly recommend going to an opera at least once in their lifetime. It is an acoustic event that you will never forget and respect for those who sing at that level. Wow... read more

I'd never been here before although I've noted that many of the artistes and shows that I'm interested in happen here. It was a rather quick 30 minute ride from East Atlanta to Cobb county. There were parking directions by the entrance. $15 the day of our event. Parking is ample and right in front of the building if you're early. Across the street from the venue if that fills up. Very nice and up to date building. Friendly staff, quick working elevators and I counted at least five bars with beverages and snacks. The seating was clean and to be honest-there's not a bad seat in the house. You will still see and hear the stage no matter how far away you're sitting. Oh and the bathrooms were well kept and clean! read more

I came for a ballet performance on a Sunday afternoon. I had a wonderful experience. Everyone is very polite and helpful. It's accommodating for service animals and handicapped. You don't have to drive into Atlanta which is a win for me. PARKING: You can park at the venue for $18 ($15 plus a $3 fee -credit card required ) OR you can park directly across the street for $10 cash. The police are on site to help folks walk across the street. You can use Spot Hero to reserve a spot across the street in advance. There isn't a big difference between the parking lots, it's a matter of preference. Don't park in the shopping area, your car will get booted if you do. Other than that, you can buy light refreshments and wine or souvenirs. read more

The center is really pretty and comfortable seats. It's very clean and staff very polite and helpful. I can only review from a concert standpoint. I'm sure it's a lovely place for a ballet. The concert sound was not good we had fairly close seats in the middle. Normally this was an artist that you can understand the words while singing. We could not understand a word even when he was talking. The sound was distorted and at first hard to recognize the song. One more thing that seemed odd, there were 3 speakers on the floor in front of the singer that covered him up right below the knees. I have been to many concerts through the years and must say it was disappointing. I wish I could say I would go again but sadly no. read more

The Atlanta Ballet Nutcracker at the Cobb Energy PAC for years has been a tradition for me to travel to see. I have not been in the last 10 years. This visit was intended to restart that tradition. I would have given this visit 4 stars however, the parking experience alone could have taken this to a 2 Star. The Center has to do better here. It took me 30 minutes to go 1/4 mile to park on site. The lines for food and drinks could have been managed better given other encumbrances such as pop-up stands competing with the lines for refreshments. That's my rant. The performance as in the past did not disappoint. It was a wonderful display of the nutcracker with modest changes to its presentation. If you ever visit the Center I would recommend seeing the Atlanta Ballet presentation of the Nutcracker. read more

Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center is a beautiful venue displaying modern architecture on the exterior and a contemporary style in the interior. We came here for the Atlanta Ballet performance "Giselle." The check-in process was seamless and efficient. During intermission, there are snacks offered at the concession stand and a kiosk with keepsake memorabilia. There is also a beautiful patio to enjoy during intermission on a sunny day. I would certainly come back to see another performance here. read more

My coworker and I came here for Porgy and Bess. Ticket prices were reasonable for the seats we selected. Parking was ample in the attached covered deck however it is ten dollars additional and not included in the ticket prices. Ideally they need to include the parking in the ticket prices. This would eliminate the long traffic lines of patrons slowly paying the parking fee. It was a painfully process. Entry was well staffed and it was quick to go through security and have our tickets scanned. Hand sanitizer stations were everywhere which was a nice touch. Bars were set up and staffed with friendly staff and decent wine and drinks. The men's bathrooms were spacious and clean. My female coworker had a significant long wait to use both ladies bathrooms near our seats. All staff and ushers were friendly. The seats were comfortable but still too narrow. The seats need a slight increase in space and parking fees need to be included in ticket prices for five stars. We recommend this venue. read more

This venue is absolutely beautiful. We spent an evening here watching Bert Kreischer. They didn't have a mask mandate or require proof of negative covid test, or covid vaccine cards, but or even temperature checks. They also didn't space out seating... So if close quarters freak you out, I wouldn't go here. The bathrooms were clean and lines weren't terribly long. We didn't get a chance to try any drinks or food due to traffic making us late. Parking was kind of a nightmare. It's also expensive. $15-$20 depending on where you park. read more

The food tastings were really cool, and everything was served very efficiently no long lines, the staff was wonderful. They had face painting and giveaways. All the volunteers were wonderful the performance of the participants from ArtsBridge were amazing. The performers from the Atlanta ballet and the Atlanta opera house were terrific. I got a free T-shirt while at the venue along with getting my face painted. This was one of the best free events that I have been to in many years. Being entertained by the Atlanta Braves Heavy Hitters drummers was cool too. Cobb Energy performing arts Center Suite 16 was great. read more

We attended the Nutcracker today for the first time at the Centre. One of our guests has cognitive issues and struggled with tickets. Brittany Hunn in the ticket office jumped through hoops to fix things and saved the day! The Centre is lucky to have her. read more

Saw a Dan and Phil show on November 14th 2024. A staff member quickly responded to an email I sent a few days before the show with the information I needed, and she was very friendly as well. There was a meet and greet before the show, and the staff was super friendly to the nervous fans lining up outside. Everything was organized and all rules were thoroughly explained. The staff really seemed to care about us having a good experience! As the evening progressed, ushers and staff were available everywhere to direct us through the sign in and meet and greet process and were so friendly and helpful! I appreciated seeing the accommodations for those using wheelchairs and using walkers and other mobility aides, and for those with non-visible conditions that needed assistance. It seems the staff has been well-trained in these areas and that is commendable! Once seated inside the theater, I found it to be gorgeous! The seats are very comfortable, even for a plus sized person like myself. In fact, another person of larger size sat next to me and we were both fine! Nice leg room between seats as well. I sat in row EEE, seat 14, and my view was perfect. I like the gentle slope of the floor and the way they have staggered the seats to give a clearer view to everyone, even shorter people like myself. I did not personally use the concession stands, but overheard other audience members saying the food and drinks were very good. Ushers were very pro-active at offering assistance to get seated and to help with seat mix-ups, which was very appreciated. Nice that they have multiple exits out of the theater to speed up the process of leaving. I felt safe in the parking lot and in walking across the street to my hotel due to presence of staff. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at the Cobb and would definitely return. Highly recommended! read more

Venue is fine. Staff are polite and professional. Parking is absurd. Horrible end to the night at the Jim Gaffigan show last night. We were unable to get out of our parking space for over 40 minutes. Once we got out of our space it was another 20 minutes to exit the parking garage. At some point a parking attendant walked up the ramp and said there's construction and limiting the exit paths. When we got out of the garage, three parking attendants were standing around joking with their blinking flashlights and there was no sign of any construction or restricted egress path. Out on the street an hour after we got in our vehicle, there were 3 uniformed police officers casually waving their blinking flashlights. Still no construction or any reason the egress of the parking garage should have been so ridiculous. Adding; we were on the 3rd deck and maybe ~150 cars between the exit and our parking space. Absolutely no reason that should've taken an hour. It was longer than Jim Gaffigan was on stage. read more

This is a very beautiful venue, it's large and well-designed. On this occasion I attended the Atlanta Ballet, they performed their rendition of Black Swan. Looking at the advertisements for past and future shows it depicted diverse interests being performed at this theater. The items sold before during and after the performance were set up very nicely several areas to purchase libations, soft drinks and additionally they sold small appetizer items. I didn't order anything as we just came from a full brunch. However I did purchase a few souvenir items, some items were priced fairly and appropriately however were excessively priced such as a tote bag for $25. But I'm sure that's supporting the Ballet company. Once inside the theater you will find there isn't a bad seat in the house. You can really tell this is a modern building as the seats were roomy and comfortable. The cushion felt nice, they were clean with plenty of legroom. This is an awesome venue! They're super organized, they have seating, they're huge, plenty of parking ... I do wish the seats were a little bigger because if you end up sitting beside a man spreader or an extra wide behind, you really do get squished. They have plenty of employees to guide you to your seat, people directing you all over the venue to where you need to be. The bathrooms are always clean and there's always a parking spot. The food is.. well, concert food. Don't expect grandiose meals. You can get an overpriced hot dog and a couple other items. We saw Lindsey Stirling and it was phenomenal. I do recommend if you're going to a show you actually want to see, splurge for close seats. This place is HUGE. If you get anything farther back, yes the seats get cheap but you won't be able to see a thing. Those cheap seats are so far, people will look like specks (slight exaggeration) but you won't see faces. So if that's important to you, get close seats. We sat in the 6th row and it was totally worth the cost. read more
