We were seated in the back part of the restaurant... where the booths were which in my opinion ruined my experience at the restaurant. There was a large group that was seated in the front area where the chairs and tables were which was the better area while the booths seemed to be the older setup and had us all squished. This ruined our experience as we were fighting for space on the table. The servers were good overall but not sure if I will return to this location. Having been to the Ajax location that one hits it out of the park with ambiance, service and food! Hope the missisauga location can also kick it up a notch a day would be glad to return. The food itself was really good! Kebab/chicken tikka platter - 4.5/5 Chicken karahi - 4.5/5 Biryani - 2/5 (felt like just rice and meat pieces no masala/taste. Definitely had better biryani elsewhere)

I had driven by this place several times, and always wanted to try it. I finally had the chance to…read moretry it on a Thursday evening, which was the restaurant's unlimited dosa promotion for $19.99. Upon entering the restaurant, I was given a menu, and guided to a small table near the cashier. I was unsure of what to order so, the waitress guided me on what would be best. For my first dosa, I settled on the butter masala dosa, which came with three dips; coconut, tomato sauce, and chutney. I was pleasantly surprised to taste the dips, as they weren't spicy at all, and blended nicely with the dosa. However, the lentil dish was a tad too spicy for me therefore, I wasn't too keen on that particular dish. The next dosa I had was the plain dosa, then the last was the masala dosa. I found the dosas to be much smaller than what was shown in the photos, which made them disappear quickly into my mouth. They were also quite thin and difficult to rip, as many of the items on the inside tended to fall out as I tried to rip the dosa for dipping. Nevertheless, the taste of the dosas and dips were flavourful, with refills of all dips (minus the lentil dish) and dosas included in the price of $19.99. I had never had a dosa experience such as this one, and would definitely return, as I found it worthwhile and filling. Service was great during the entire experience, and the restaurant itself boasted a great environment. Would definitely return to try other items on the menu!

As soon as we were seated and hadn't even poured our water the server came over and asked us if we were ready to order (5:03pm). We went through the menu and were ready to order. My mom went first, followed by me, my brother and then my father. Our food came out in that order - except my dad's. At 5:30pm the server came around and reminded us of the dining limit and I frankly pointed out that my father who's birthday it is hasn't gotten his food and we were told it was because it was burnt and being remade 10 mins ago... His food comes at 5:35pm and someone else comes around at 5:40pm reminding us that we are approaching the dining limit. Needless to say, the service was absolutely horrible - no apology for the late food just hurry up eat and get out. Never returning to this restaurant.

During our stay, we noticed individuals coming in and out for take-out therefore, the kitchen was kept busy with varying orders. The restaurant itself was large, and as we were told, a bar and event space was being built in the back for larger groups. Upon entering, we were greeted by a kind server, whom showed us to a table of our choosing. Since we were the only diners in the restaurant, we chose to sit in a large booth, which accommodated all four of us nicely. As we entered the restaurant, we noticed how beautiful the decor was, and how nice it smelled! Two very important points that we were blown away by. Upon sitting in the booth, we settled on two orders of butter chicken with plain naan and rice. We also decided on a thali, which had lentils, butter chicken, paneer with butter chicken sauce, yogurt, rice with vegetables, and gulab jamun for dessert. We only had to wait about 12 minutes for our food to arrive, at which point, we were starving, and looking forward to eating. We were pleasantly surprised at how delicious everything tasted. The portion sizes were large, and very well-portioned for each item. We also liked how the naan was included with the thali, and how generous the server was in providing extra water at all times. Our server came over to check on us as we were dining, commenting positively on the type of food that we had chosen. Considering how spacious the restaurant was, along with the inviting ambiance, top-notch service, and appetizing food, we were surprised to see it so quiet. We picked up some vegan chole, vegan eggplant, samosa, and vegan parathas, and tandoori rotis. The Chole and eggplant curries were very disappointing. Especially Chole - it tasted as it was made a novice and not a chef. Chole is such a Punjabi dish, that one is rarely disappointed. The eggplant curry was equally disappointing. It didn't taste as it came from a Punjabi restaurant. The spice level and even seasonings were completely off. The samosas were OK and so was the tandoori rotis. The Aloo Parathas again disappointing. Wondering how can one go wrong in making Parathas? Potatoes stuffed in between two bigger tawa rotis. That's how it tasted. We are not sure we are going back to this location ever again.

I absolutely love this place. Normally, a place that has a massive menu is a bit concerning to me…read moreas it often leads to not really excelling at anything, but that is not the case here in my experience. The reason behind the large menu is related to the aim of the restaurant, which is to showcase the various regional cuisines of India. As a result, don't expect the straightforward menu of: apps, entrees, deserts, etc... rather the menu is divided by cuisine. Aside from honouring tradition, they do offer a couple 'new' takes on some items. If you comb through a few reviews, and certainly the pics, you'll notice a must-order items is the roasted eggplant with pomegranate. It really is like nothing else I've had before and unforgettable in both taste and texture. My group also went with a famous lamb dish as well. I don't remember the name offhand, but it is incredibly soft, well seasoned and nicely spiced dish. We also went with orders of naan, veggie dishes and meat skewers. It's beautifully decorated inside and also has the advantage of being located in a heritage building in what was formerly an estate home nearly 150 years old. It's truly a unique place and one people living in the area can be proud and of showcase to visitors.

Whaaaaat? If an establishment is going to charge me a healthy premium for the food then the last thing I want to hear from them as I sit down is when I have to target to leave At the end of the meal, we ordered dessert.
