a bowl of roti and a plate of roti
Roohi G.

It was just one of those days when we didn't wanted to cook at home but also craving some authentic indian food . So we decided to try out this place for the first time . We ordered a paneer bitter masala and Tandori roti and naan for takeout . The Gravy for the paneer was really delicious and roti was soft and full of flavours. The quantities were reasonable as well for the price . Definitely a go to place for your next Indian food cravings

FOOD: We had come here on a Saturday afternoon at around 12:30 pm for the lunch buffet. We were happy to see that there were many options available for the buffet, which included a section of salads/cold items, a section of hot items/curries, and a section of desserts. In terms of the food quality itself, we felt as though some of the items were a bit too spicy for our taste buds however, there were some items which tasted quite delicious, such as the Butter Chicken, Naan Bread (which was brought right to our table), and the Potato Triangles. All of the items also tasted quite fresh, and we found the price to be good (only $14.99 per person). Although this buffet wasn't as large as some of the Indian buffets, it did offer enough for us, and the items were always replenished when the amount was low. ATMOSPHERE: We found this restaurant to have excellent décor, especially when it came to the chairs and tables, along with the wallpaper, light fixtures, and pictures on the walls. It was quite stylish, which was wonderful to look at during our stay. We also found that there was ample room in-between the chairs and tables, along with a large space where the buffet was situated, without any tables nearby. There weren't too many guests in the restaurant at the time therefore, the volume level was tolerable. We felt that a lot of work was put into making this restaurant look good, and it showed beautifully! SERVICE: When we had walked-in, we were served by a young woman, whom brought us to a table near the front of the restaurant. She was courteous throughout the entire meal, coming over to our table to check on us, and filling-up our water glasses, along with bringing us extra Naan Bread when we had asked for more. She was also friendly, as she played with my toddler son, which was a happy thing to see. All in all, definitely great customer service on all fronts! COST: 4 Adult Lunch Buffets ($14.99/Person): $59.96 + Tax = $67.75 WOULD YOU RETURN? Most definitely; the food was mostly good (except for some of the spicy items), along with great customer service and a chic restaurant!

Chicken achari tikka

Ordered through Uber eats and food was packed nicely. The Chicken Achari Tikka had the perfect balance of spice and herb, nice char on the meat and juicy pieces! The Shahi Paneer was creamy, flavourful and came in a large portion, easily enough for two meals. The garlic naan was pretty good, nice texture and garlicky taste. The chili cheese naan (which is recommended on their website) is not good! No chili and cheese is kind of sad, just grated cheddar which makes it even more oily and soggy. Overall, pretty tasty food and would probably order again to try some of their other menu items!

Fantastic service. The food was pretty good too. The place fills up pretty quick, and lots of big parties too. Make sure you reserve seats. I find the food is much better than the other location. The naans were the best part! Good portions for the price. Will definitely come by try more off the menu. They do not take american express!!

Lunch buffet was great, the goat curry and chicken curry were the best! Also enjoyed the spinach and tandoori chicken. Decent value.

I had driven by this place several times, and always wanted to try it. I finally had the chance to…read moretry it on a Thursday evening, which was the restaurant's unlimited dosa promotion for $19.99. Upon entering the restaurant, I was given a menu, and guided to a small table near the cashier. I was unsure of what to order so, the waitress guided me on what would be best. For my first dosa, I settled on the butter masala dosa, which came with three dips; coconut, tomato sauce, and chutney. I was pleasantly surprised to taste the dips, as they weren't spicy at all, and blended nicely with the dosa. However, the lentil dish was a tad too spicy for me therefore, I wasn't too keen on that particular dish. The next dosa I had was the plain dosa, then the last was the masala dosa. I found the dosas to be much smaller than what was shown in the photos, which made them disappear quickly into my mouth. They were also quite thin and difficult to rip, as many of the items on the inside tended to fall out as I tried to rip the dosa for dipping. Nevertheless, the taste of the dosas and dips were flavourful, with refills of all dips (minus the lentil dish) and dosas included in the price of $19.99. I had never had a dosa experience such as this one, and would definitely return, as I found it worthwhile and filling. Service was great during the entire experience, and the restaurant itself boasted a great environment. Would definitely return to try other items on the menu!

We had cheese masala dosa, it was folded and filled with generous amounts of filling. Had shahi paneer dosa, requested to make it rolled and put the fillings separately on the side. However, the parking is convenient in the plazas parking lot.

During our stay, we noticed individuals coming in and out for take-out therefore, the kitchen was kept busy with varying orders. The restaurant itself was large, and as we were told, a bar and event space was being built in the back for larger groups. Upon entering, we were greeted by a kind server, whom showed us to a table of our choosing. Since we were the only diners in the restaurant, we chose to sit in a large booth, which accommodated all four of us nicely. As we entered the restaurant, we noticed how beautiful the decor was, and how nice it smelled! Two very important points that we were blown away by. Upon sitting in the booth, we settled on two orders of butter chicken with plain naan and rice. We also decided on a thali, which had lentils, butter chicken, paneer with butter chicken sauce, yogurt, rice with vegetables, and gulab jamun for dessert. We only had to wait about 12 minutes for our food to arrive, at which point, we were starving, and looking forward to eating. We were pleasantly surprised at how delicious everything tasted. The portion sizes were large, and very well-portioned for each item. We also liked how the naan was included with the thali, and how generous the server was in providing extra water at all times. Our server came over to check on us as we were dining, commenting positively on the type of food that we had chosen. Considering how spacious the restaurant was, along with the inviting ambiance, top-notch service, and appetizing food, we were surprised to see it so quiet. Please fill this restaurant to capacity, as it is beyond amazing, and deserves to be given a chance! Will definitely come back when I'm in the area!

We have been to the OG VOI for more than two decades and have been really enjoying the restaurant…read more With the VOI we were very sure that food would be similar. We picked up some vegan chole, vegan eggplant, samosa, and vegan parathas, and tandoori rotis. The Chole and eggplant curries were very disappointing. Especially Chole - it tasted as it was made a novice and not a chef. Chole is such a Punjabi dish, that one is rarely disappointed. The eggplant curry was equally disappointing. It didn't taste as it came from a Punjabi restaurant. The spice level and even seasonings were completely off. The samosas were OK and so was the tandoori rotis. The Aloo Parathas again disappointing. Wondering how can one go wrong in making Parathas? Potatoes stuffed in between two bigger tawa rotis. That's how it tasted. We are not sure we are going back to this location ever again.

I absolutely love this place. Normally, a place that has a massive menu is a bit concerning to me…read moreas it often leads to not really excelling at anything, but that is not the case here in my experience. The reason behind the large menu is related to the aim of the restaurant, which is to showcase the various regional cuisines of India. As a result, don't expect the straightforward menu of: apps, entrees, deserts, etc... rather the menu is divided by cuisine. Aside from honouring tradition, they do offer a couple 'new' takes on some items. If you comb through a few reviews, and certainly the pics, you'll notice a must-order items is the roasted eggplant with pomegranate. It really is like nothing else I've had before and unforgettable in both taste and texture. My group also went with a famous lamb dish as well. I don't remember the name offhand, but it is incredibly soft, well seasoned and nicely spiced dish. We also went with orders of naan, veggie dishes and meat skewers. It's beautifully decorated inside and also has the advantage of being located in a heritage building in what was formerly an estate home nearly 150 years old. It's truly a unique place and one people living in the area can be proud and of showcase to visitors.

There were no coat hooks or coat check....surprising for such a beautiful and upscale place. The coats crowded our seats. They were kind enough to accommodate my need for water with meals by leaving a kettle with water for me. They do not leave jugs but our server, Snow, replenished the water for others regularly.. she was friendly, helpful and funny. Since I need vegan and gluten free the only items I could have were the salad without feta, yellow dal without ghee and plain rice. The fam loved the Afghan chicken tikka and paneer item they ordered. My dal was made without ghee as requested but was on the spicy side. The fam shared the chocolate cake and rabri desserts but zero vegan/gluten free dessert items. The decor is lovely and everyone was very professional. The meal was very expensive....well over $400 for 1 alcohol drink, 2 mocktails, 3 apps, 3 mains with 2 rice, 2naan and 1 parantha and 2 desserts. Hopefully you get Snow as your server as she was a delight. There was no DJs or live entertainment the night we went but they do have it on certain nights. It got very busy while we were there with folks of all ages. You can bring your own cake but they charge $5pp to serve it.
