    Lamb Roganjosh Bowl

Dined for Summerlicious lunch and it was a good experience located right at Shops at Don Mills . We each tried the bao, fried okra and calamari to start. Then we had the lamb curry and butter chicken bowl and finished with gajjar halwa cheesecake and rasmalai tiramisu. Overall I think it's good value for $27 for lunch. We got a fair bit to try along with a generous portion of naan too. For my main, I only tasted the lamb curry, the meat a bit too dry for me, however the sauce is good. The okra fries are good, the calamari and bao was ok from the little sample I tried from my friends' plate. What really was special was the dessert, as most Summerlicious spots I had this season only had the most basic cheesecake format. At least this spot elevated it and certainly not a regular cheesecake or tiramisu I've had before. I think the Gajjar halwa cheesecake was a bit too sweet for me. However the rasmalai tiramisu really hit the mark for me in the level of sweetness, a great finisher. Overall good experience.

Overall: 3.8/5 Decent but clean Indian spot at shops on don mills! I wouldn't say this is the authentic Indian food, you usually get that at a mom & pop spot at somewhere not as clean, but this was good for an upscale place. I just found it a little expensive for what it was, but there were definitely some great dishes worth getting. Ambiance: 4/5 - nice Indian classy vibe, dim and a good place to chat and meet with people for dinner. Service: 5/5 - very friendly, kind, and prompt staff. Food: 3.8/5 overall Pauw Bhaji garlic bread - 4/5 - I really liked this, with the Chana and different flavours - it was light but also really tasty at the same time. I'd order this again. Tandoori chicken momos - 4/5 - I really liked this as well, flavours were nice and it was like an Indian dumpling. I'd order this again for sure. It was soft but tightly packed with some good tandoori and other flavours. Samosas - 3/5 - I thought they were "ok". I've had better and wouldn't necessarily come here to order this again. Butter chicken - 4/5 - be mindful that this is a SWEET butter chicken. I liked it, but people who like spicy butter chickens would not like this. Spinach Paneer - 3/5 - I didn't love this because I don't like spinach curries, so they could have done it well, and may just be me. Great job on the apps guys, loved it!

Came back for some great food. And this time, we 'Trust the chef'. It came with lots of food and was lots of fun! For a price (75) you get 4 courses per person, most items are on the menu, but most items we got were things we would never have ordered! Feta naan - very heavy on the cheese, not my favourite. Mango sauce was refreshing, especially from the heaviness of the cheese naan. Samosa in special sauce - Refer to pics, this was a fun dish and dont think it was on the menu. It was may favourite dish tho. Lots of things happening. Lots of flavour but still very well balanced. Lots of textures from the pop of the pomegrante, crispy samosa, softness from the inside and the sauces. Would get again and would highly recommend! Tiger shrimps - MASSIVE shrimps. Lots of flavour and very tasty. I felt it was abit overcooked, so not my favourite. Butter chicken - Delicious as always. Lamb curry - Lamb was tender, curry was a bit too spicy for me. But might be good if you like the spice. Veggie Briyani - Fave place for the briyani as it always come with a bread topping. It serves as extra naan for the curry you get on the side. Rice was also beautifully cooked. I do perfer the lamb version more as it add more flavour! An assortment of breads - Onion flatbread, garlic naan and parata all was good in their own way. Flatbread was good, but would have preferred to have it by itself. The other two are a staple and especially good with the curries. Desserts - Kulfi - meh, Gulab jamun - not as sweet as I thought it would be, but not for me. Tiramisu - felt more like a tres leches, but not my favourite either.

We have been here twice and both times had very delicious good. We were a larger group the first time and we had the "trust the chef" course and it was A LOT of food. We had the spinach and truffle naan (MY FAV), dhokla chaat, gobi manchurian for appetizers. None of these disappointed! Main course: vegetable biryani (not a huge fan), palak paneer, dal makhani, and purple aloo gobi (def another fav). Desserts: kulfi, tiramisu and gulab jamun. The second time around, I also tried the chicken 65 and it was very delicious! The portion sizes are decent and definitely very filling. Downsides: There is barely any service. No one checking in, or asking for water etc. The juices are all from a box (Rubicon), would be nice to fresh juice for what they charge.

This is the best Indian restaurant in Toronto! All the food is amazing and delicious, especially the cauliflower The service is decent, and I tried this restaurant with the summerlicious menu, so there's a lot of variety of food to try! Love it!

We come here often when we are craving some good indian food. the seating area is nice, beautiful place, free parking and it's nice to walk around shops at don mills after the meal or before. The biriyani is one of our favourite, it comes with a naan on top covering the bowl. The lamb curry dishes are good as well. The service is not bad. The only downside is that the price is a bit high. It never disappoints, the food had always been tasty each time we visited.

The ambiance was nice and service is good. The taste is quite good without the spice for many of my guests that could not handle the heat which made for an enjoyable meal for them. The only issue was the $40 lobster dish was very tiny. You must order the garlic naan which is really good!

We walked in on a Saturday because all the hotspots were jam packed - what a blessing in disguise! The ambiance is beautiful, the wait staff is friendly and patient, there is a lot of good variety and the food is tasty and pretty. Although not the absolute best Indian food (there is tough competition to be fair!) you will get in the GTA, you and your phone will both eat well and leave happy! Some photos below but note our options were limited as there are not too many dairy free options.

Fantastic quality Indian food and service. This one has been on my list for a while and finally got an opportunity when I brought my cousin out for his bday. Each dish stands on its own. Beautifully prepared , great balance of spices , colourful and pleasing to the eye. The cauliflower was bomb!!! Will be back here for years to come.

We came here for the first time and was pretty happy with their selections and how tasty our food was. I ordered the chicken flatbread and a virgin mojito. The flat bread was tasty with a hint of spicy in it. The garlic nann is pretty large for the price.

Nice location and beautifully decorated. We Ordered the tandoori chicken momos, butter chicken and the jackfruit (per Recommendation). The chicken momos were delicious. Butter chicken was also good. The garlic naans amazing! Now the jackfruit was salty and tasted a little bitter..it was our first time trying it. Instead we then got the palak paneer was defiantly fresh and flavourful. The food is defiantly not as oily as other Indian restaurants and does use fresh ingredients.

I like what the restaurants have done with the outdoor seating at shops at don mills. They closed off one street to extend their seats and included a pedestrian walkway. Good plan for the summer! Our plan initially was to go to Joeys or Taylors Landing but didn't want to wait long so we ended up at Mantra. The food was really good, every dish was super flavourful. We ordered the Hakka noodle, fried fish Amritsari, and the vegetable platter. For drinks, we ordered a guava margarita pitcher to share. Great place!

Really good vibes! Food came out little slow but food tasted very good. Butter chicken and biryani was my favourite. Friendly staff.

Overall, a solid 4-star experience at Goan Indian Farm Kitchen…read more The Chicken Tikka was hands down the star of the meal--10/10! The chicken was perfectly tender and juicy, with a beautiful char from the grill. The marinade was full of spices that were perfectly balanced, and the smoky flavor was absolutely delightful. My only suggestion would be to serve a bit more mint chutney alongside, as the coolness and freshness of the chutney paired beautifully with the spice of the chicken. The Spicy Beef Kebab was decent, but I have to give it a 7/10. While the texture was great, and the kebab was tender, it could've benefited from a stronger, more distinct flavor profile. The spices were a bit too overwhelming, and the beef lacked the depth I was hoping for. A bit more seasoning and complexity would've elevated it. The Palak Paneer was solid, but not perfect--8.5/10. The spinach sauce was creamy and flavorful, with just the right amount of spices, but I found that there wasn't enough paneer in the dish. It felt like there was a great base, but the lack of enough paneer left me wanting more of that rich, cheesy bite that makes this dish so satisfying. Still, the sauce itself was excellent. The Makhan Chicken with Mushrooms was good but somewhat underwhelming--7/10. The chicken itself was cooked well, but the flavor of the sauce didn't quite have the depth or richness I expected. The mushrooms added some nice earthiness, but overall, I was hoping for a more complex, flavorful dish. It was fine, but it didn't stand out compared to the other items. As for dessert, the Bebinca was warm and moist, but it lacked the depth of flavor I was hoping for--6.5/10. The texture was perfect--soft and almost cake-like--but the sweetness and coconut flavor didn't quite pop the way it should. I feel like the Gulabjamun Rose Cheesecake might have been a better pick, as the Bebinca didn't quite hit the mark. But the true highlight of the meal was the Mango Lassi Cheesecake - 10/10. It was absolutely divine! It tasted exactly like a mango lassi, but in cheesecake form. The mango flavor was fresh and vibrant, while the creamy texture was smooth and indulgent. Every bite was a perfect balance of sweetness and tang, and we wouldn't change a thing about it. It was the ultimate dessert to end the meal. While the food was mostly excellent (especially the Chicken Tikka and Mango Lassi Cheesecake), the service was a bit of a letdown. The greeter rolled their eyes when we asked for a table away from the entrance, despite there being plenty of empty tables at lunchtime. That initial encounter made us feel a little unwelcome, though the staff did check on us afterward, and we still left a tip. The interior decor was beautiful, though--definitely added to the overall experience. Overall, despite the service hiccup, the food (particularly the Chicken Tikka and Mango Lassi Cheesecake) was fantastic, and we would definitely return for the food!
