Rating 3.5. We made a reservation to celebrate my son's birthday. There were 5 of us and sitting in a booth made for 6 felt very tight. It is winter so it should be assumed we have coats. There were no coat hooks or coat check....surprising for such a beautiful and upscale place. The coats crowded our seats. They were kind enough to accommodate my need for water with meals by leaving a kettle with water for me. They do not leave jugs but our server, Snow, replenished the water for others regularly.. she was friendly, helpful and funny. Since I need vegan and gluten free the only items I could have were the salad without feta, yellow dal without ghee and plain rice. The fam loved the Afghan chicken tikka and paneer item they ordered. My dal was made without ghee as requested but was on the spicy side. The fam shared the chocolate cake and rabri desserts but zero vegan/gluten free dessert items. The decor is lovely and everyone was very professional. The meal was very expensive....well over $400 for 1 alcohol drink, 2 mocktails, 3 apps, 3 mains with 2 rice, 2naan and 1 parantha and 2 desserts. Hopefully you get Snow as your server as she was a delight. There was no DJs or live entertainment the night we went but they do have it on certain nights. First time here and had heard good things about it Great ambiance which regrettably is not the norm for many Indian restaurants across the GTA - but the slight downer was that is was quite noisy which was equally on account of the patrons and the volume of the music We started with the Palak Patta Chaat ( which was as interesting as it was delicious ), Tandoori Veg Momos ( this was disappointing ) and the assorted non veg platter ( which was really good ) We followed this with both the chicken and lamb biryani - which were outstanding, Mishree Ki Dal Makhani ( expectedly heavy but delicious ) and Raita The youngest in our group had the Canadian favourite - yes you guessed right - Butter Chicken and Naan ( Naan Bread to the uninitiated) Overall the food would get 4 stars from me The ambience would get the same rating because only because I thought the place was too loud But I was surprised/disappointed with a few things which I would classify as unforced errors After we were seated, the very thing we were told was that we had the table for an hour and 45 minutes. Whaaaaat? If an establishment is going to charge me a healthy premium for the food then the last thing I want to hear from them as I sit down is when I have to target to leave At the end of the meal, we ordered dessert. While we waited for it, we packed the leftovers and then continued to wait.... After 10 minutes when we asked our server, she admitted that she had forgotten to place the order with the kitchen... we then cancelled desserts Then came the icing on the cake Our server asked us if our friends were celebrating their 10th anniversary. October 15/2024: Dinner with Amrit, Geet & Alex. This was a fantastic dinner. Everything was excellent. The service, the ambiance & of course the food. We ordered the following to share: Galafi Seekh Kabab ($26.00), 4/Kabab's for the order, it was delicious! Tandoori Prawns ($26.00), good but not great. They were overcooked & at 6 prawns were not worth the spend. Chicken Fried rice ($22.00), very moist & delicious with a good size portion. Andhra Chicken Curry ($22.00), again, delicious but a small order for the price. Butter chicken ($25.00), again, delicious but a small order for the price. Overall amazing ambiance. Me and two of my friends got a reservation at Mishree and visited them on a Friday evening. It was fairly crowded but we were seated within a few minutes of arriving. The food was wonderful. Everything was so flavorful and fresh. We got the mutton galauti kebab and tandoori platter for starters. For our mains we got a mutton dish and I chicken dish, both were delicious and spicy. We got a few assorted breads, but loved the lachcha paratha. We also got one drink each, the cocktails are very fun but pricey. Although overall it is quite expensive, I would say it is worth the experieence atleast once. A new luxury restaurant and lounge, inspired by nature and South Asian and Middle Eastern culture. The ambiance is beautiful from the lighting to the decor. Highly recommend to reserve via OpenTable. Even on a Sunday evening, it was quite busy. Each plate have a strand of rosemary and it's very soothing and relaxing. The bottle of Evian water on the table, there is a fee to it otherwise ask for tap water. Onto the cocktail, I ordered the Raslila, the drink www amazing, it had notes of cinnamon and served with a side of candy. Beautifully presented, theatrical with the bubble gun. The Machhi Aur Rum Ki Seekh, spiced fish kebab on a skewer flambéed in rum was quick heavy on the rum flavour. The fish curry and the butter chicken were delicious. We ordered naan to go with it. We went here as a group of 6 around Thanksgiving. Great interiors and wonderful service. Food was ok however not really outstanding since much of the gravy of the different dishes seemed to be similar. The appetizers were really nice though. Food can be termed as tad expensive. However the cocktails and the drinks are extremely pricey and no reason they should be so in a restaurant like that. Music was extremely loud and that is the one thing that managed to spoil the evening quite a bit. Our server was extremely helpful and had a nice demeanour. This is where it goes downhill. Service - 3/5 We had a table reservation for 6PM for 6 people, we were promptly seated after a 5-10 minute wait which isn't too bad. Our full party wasn't there yet, we were missing 2 people who came shortly after. After about 10 minutes our server greeted us asking if we were ready to order food and drink. We were in the midst of browsing the menu but asked to get tap water instead of the bottled Evian water that was left on the table. (After reading reviews, we knew that the Evian water had a surcharge on it that was not mentioned until the bill arrives) Our servers name was Gunjan whom initially seemed very friendly and polite. She asked us if we had been before and she explained to us they had a curated premium cocktail menu that had a tableside bartender, in which we would mix our own drinks. (This bartender service was not in their regular menu and pricing would need to be seen via tablet - approximate cost was $55 per cocktail) doesn't quite make sense for me to pay you (the restaurant) to mix my own drink at my table..perhaps it was a communication issue of some sort. After we declined her curated premium cocktail menu the atmosphere and attitude of Gunjan had drastically shifted from being positive and energetic, to sour. We ordered our food and drink. Drinks: (Priced between $21-$35) French Fizz - Gin-based cocktail with grapes and ginger ale Gua Wa - Belvedere, guava and thai chilis Gin and Tonic Flora M&M - elderflower liqueur, mezcal and Amaro Montenegro King and Marry - King and Marry Presentation wise, King & Marry had the most pizzazz, the show was less than stellar for a $35 cocktail The cocktails were OK. Food: Lamb Curry Mutton Rogan Josh Chicken Tikka Masala Hakka Noodles w/ Shrimp Chilli Garlic Fish 3 orders of garlic naan (Apparently one order has two pieces - lol) @ $6/order Hyderabaadi Seekkh Masala The best food item amongst the table was the chili garlic fish. Everything else the flavors blended together and you don't really know what you're eating (or lack thereof). Portions appear reasonable when everything lands on the table, but when you start poking at each dish item, you start to realize there's 6 costco sample size portions of meat in each plate, and the rest is either gravy or sauce. Service Continued: Our server (Gunjan) came back once after our food arrived. I asked for napkins and she never came back again to check on us during our whole experience. One of our tablemates needed more water and she did not return. We had requested to split the bill 3 ways (3 couples, 6 people; we don't mind an even split) and she proceeded to state that this couldn't be done. (It clearly states you can split the bill 3 ways max on the first page of the menu) 18% Gratuity is automatically included for parties of 5+ TL;DR: Cons: Service is mediocre, poor communication, poor customer service Food is small portions and overpriced Cocktails are also overpriced. I have alcohol at home. Pros: It looks nice for social media I guess. How can they improve: Lower your prices, you're more expensive than cactus club cafe in all aspects, they are thriving. Tried this new upscale Indian restaurant. The place has very nice decor. They had a DJ playing music but the music was loud enough to be heard but soft enough so that you could carry on a conversation without shouting. We were seated quickly and our server Jaya may have been one of the best servers we have had at any restaurant. We ordered the veg platter and the crispy okra appetizers. The momos in the platter were the best tasting I have had. I also liked the paneer which had a layer of nuts in the middle which was a nice touch. My sons said the soy chaap in the platter was their favourite. They liked it so much there was none left for me or my wife. The crispy fried okra was really good. Lightly battered and it seemed air fried because there was almost no oil detectable. This included thin slices of okra and julien potatoes (I believe). Dish was very crispy and very nicely seasoned. This was everyone's favourite appetizer. For entrees, we ordered bharta, malai kofta, dal makhani and paneer makhani. Bharta was nice and smoky. Malai kofta was stuffed with nuts and had delicious rich gravy which had subtle flavours of cardamom. The paneer came with a rich tomato gravy. My sons loved it and polished it off. I was not that fond of it however. Loved the dal makhani - nice, creamy, rich but not heavy. One of the best dal makhani in the GTA. We had lacha paronta, naan and garlic naan with our meal. The naan were on the small side so we reordered so more. For drinks we tried their berry punch and lychee-coconut mocktails, and the half salty/half sweet lemon soda. I really liked the lemon soda. The lychee drink was a little too sweet for my taste. Although we didn't try the alcoholic drinks when we went, they do some elaborate presentations which were well done. When going there, be patient. We were seated within 5 minutes of arriving. Our apps came out about 30 min after we ordered but the main meal took about an hour after we had finished our appetizers. Our server Jaya, and a guy who was helping her but whose name I could not hear over the music, kept checking on us, making sure our water was full, and updating us on the progress of our food. We skipped dessert. From arrival to departure, we were there a little over 2 1/2 hours. This place is one of the most expensive Indian restaurants in the GTA. Our meal costed about $80 per person including tip. Compared to other high end Indian places I have been to, I thought the food was better here. I'll be back. read more

I have been to Toronto for business trips for last 15 years. I have tried multiple Indian restaurants near Mississauga, Brampton area. I tried this restaurant with my colleagues this week. It was a complete disappointment. We ordered multiple dishes of kababs, curries including chicken, lamb and goat but we didn't find the taste comparable to Avani or Maharaja (these are my favorites restaurants and gold standard for comparison). They gave the rosemary wrapped in napkins to get therapeutic aroma. Overall the ambiance was good to experience it but at the end I don't care for ambience or fancy things. I went there with my family after reading reviews about the restaurant. We found the ambience quite appealing and well planned with very courteous staff. When it came to how long they took to bring our appetizers we were very distraught and it took them 45 minutes to get us our appetizers. As far as food taste appetizers were kind of OK but the main meal course was the worst food taste we have had in the entire GTA. I would never go back or suggest anybody visit unless they want to go enjoy the ambiance only and do not care about how the food tastes. read more

Came here with a large group (10). The restaurant is massive and very good for large groups as long as you've made a reservation. Service was excellent my only critique is that the upsell was little over the top. When asking for suggestions she conveniently suggested the most expensive items. This restaurant is not cheap but the experience was very nice. If you've paid for signature cocktails in the city you won't be surprised by their cocktail prices. If you haven't experienced bougie cocktails, you'll be overwhelmed by the price. However, the presentation for these cocktails was excellent and that is part of the experience. For the uninitiated, Mishree is mainly Indian but has some excellent Thai, Hakka and Asian Fusion dishes, their menu is massive and can be quite daunting. The dishes look small but are actually quite big. I would definitely recommend this place as an experience but am not sure if the pricy bill is worth a second visit read more

This is a third class restaurant not a fine dinning , its not at all a family restaurant, Bar and not a safe place to eat as this restaurant is not interested to serve the quality rather this business is just behind earning money and compromising customers health. Food is over priced , bad taste , undercooked and mostly in their busy hours they serve raw chicken, taste and quality is zero .They served us smelly rotten Afgani chicken Tikka with the price of 30$ , right after the first bite I called the server that your food is rotten and how you can serve this kind of food and he was not shocked like its their daily basis concern to hear he simply ignored and said you can order something else this is like this only. Who can eat smelly food with the taste of toilet and undercook ?? he left basically vanished. I called another server girl and she took away the served spoiled undercooked Tikka later and was gone with no answer ... 10 min .. no one bother to come back and assist us , no apologize / pathetic as the server smiled at me with weird look... waited for long and no one came back .. I got nausea and anxiety all together and had to take my medication later stomach was hurting .. we decided to not eat as I started to feel uneasy due to raw and smelly chicken .We went at this place to celebrate Mother's Day but me and my son ended up walking out without having our dinner due to the rotten food and no one wanted to take this concern seriously as well no one came to priorities the order/ worst part was when 5 staff members 4 girls and one male laughed at us while we stepped out by holding sadness in our heart and thought in our mind that how they can ruin our day like this ... Bad decision to go at this restaurant on a special day. We wasted our 2 plus hours and empty stomach came back. Manger refused to come and hear out our concern so unprofessional place and unfortunate experience on such a special day. The restaurant is great. The ambiance is fantastic as were the food and cocktails. We entertained 35 family and friends on September 10th, 2024. We were told they preferred payment in cash. In a hurry, we paid with American dollars and forgot to get back the equivalent in Canadian dollars. Later, we called to explain the situation. We received a rude response from the manager and were told that "we consider Canadian dollars as equal to American dollars". Everyone in the world knows the exchange rate! I have personally owned over 160 restaurants and am surprised at the lack of response from your management. This is not acceptable nor is it legal to request customers to pay in cash! Amazing restaurant with a beautiful interior. My family and I got the Reshmi Chicken Tikka as our starter and the chicken was so tender and the sauce was nothing like I've had before. The main course dishes were also quite good, however if you are dining in on the weekend be aware of the long wait times. Our main course came around 30-40 minutes after the appetizers and we had to speak to the manager about our concern. The manager and the staff were very patient and accommodating to our needs.
