    Rotten shrimp
    Jennie H.

DO NOT COME TO THIS TOURIST TRAP!!! I ordered the seafood pasta dish that came wrapped in aluminum foil shaped like a swan?? This was the first warning sign... The shrimp in my seafood was indeed NOT fresh. It was very tough and tasted very sour. I also ordered the bolognese and caesar salad. They were also very flavorless and not good. My partner and I took a couple bites and immediately asked for the check because it was just not worth eating the rest. I talked to the second manager explaining my dissatisfaction and not once did he apologize or show any empathy. His only reaction was to raise his voice at us to say that the seafood is fresh and that it was impossible my shrimp was not fresh. He was extremely unprofessional and started to get really personal with a CUSTOMER! He was not understanding nor cared that we thought it wasn't fresh. He was in his own head and disagreed with everything we said. Is that how you treat a customer?? We didn't expect to get a discount, only an apology which we didn't even receive. This restaurant is not worth your time and the service here is absolutely horrible. Don't run a restaurant if you can't take criticism, especially if your food is mediocre with a hint of expired shrimp. Lastly they couldn't even offer us plates for our appetizers and expected us to eat it with our hands!

    Spaghetti alla carbonara

If you're at the galleria mall and wanting to eat something that serves quality food then this is a good place. Like all the nearby touristy restaurants around here, beware of how much their hosts try to hustle you in their restaurant to eat. I liked how my spaghetti alla carbonara came in this stainless silver bowl with the Parmesan cheese grater on top. After I grated cheese, I was able to lift up the top and eat away. The carbonara was creamy and had a good egg texture to it. Their bacon stuck out to me because it had a pan fry crisp to them. Service is a bit slow but can also be hostile towards watching you eat and waiting you to order more which can be annoying.

Ordered a pizza and the seafood pasta that comes in foil. Cool presentation, but awkward to eat. The pasta was too thick and undercooked, like udon noodles. Pizza was great, not a fan of pasta pictured below. Service wasn't so great either.

Really Tasty!especially for seafood pasta and duomo pizza!Great service!Highly Recommend!

Very nice restaurant with central location. Service is great! Each guest welcomed with a glass of Prosecco. Waiters are happy to help with menu. Portions are not huge but enough to feel good after eating. We had seafood stew and president salad as starters. And pasta with octopus as a main course. Everything was delicious and fresh. Also what impressed me is marks in menu on food that was frozen. I think is honest and totally great!

Wow... I can't really find the words to express our experience at this place. Food was extravagant and the service was top notch, nod to Our waiter Dominique and his partner, who did excellent. At first I was a little skeptical coming here since it is so close to the Duomo and Galleria, initially thought it might be a tourist trap but glad I was wrong! We had a caprese salad to start, a Margherita pizza, both were outstanding and tasty. That seafood dish we had though, that was out this world, fresh and exquisite. Our homeboy Dominique hooked it up with limoncello, meloncello, and pistachello as dessert and Damn Fam! I was super happy leaving this place. I know wifey was too.. Will definitely come visit again when back in Milano.

Got in thinking it was a tourist trap and I left feeling just another local enjoying the best its city has to offer in gastronomy. I cannot put in words how good and high quality the food was. Perfectly cooked and seasoned, very authentic and real! Service was outstanding and the ambiance and location could not have been better. The prices are beyond reasonable, one of the less expensive places in the city given the high quality and elegance of the place; I wish I had discovered it earlier in my trip so I could have visited more. I will definitely come back to Da Regina 1985 next time I'm in Milan.

Dead skinny crab with almost no meat. Chef Boyardi linguine served cold. Presented as such.

Pizza only! As a restaurant it fails miserably! 1. One entree never came. 2. Crab linguine came out cold, not al dente & crabs were a few hrs died & skinny 3. Service was nonexistent. 4. Off night maybe but indifference to patrons is unforgivable. 5. Tourist trap. 6. Good luck if you find yourself mislead by the pizza munching lunch crowd & wished you had read the not so flattering reviews before going. I am kicking myself now!

    Seafood pasta

The absolute BEST seafood pasta we've ever had!! (And with a LOT of seafood!!) The buffalo mozzarella with the prosciutto was also fantastic- more so for the prosciutto actually! - and the risotto with saffron was also very tasty but not as "out of this world" as the other dishes. Red beer is better than anything I get back in Germany lol full bodied but not too heavy. Only con is that I felt the wait staff was ready to take my plate, but the food was definitely giving you value for your money. Definitely making it my top recommendation for Milan

I literally wrote 4 paragraphs and Yelp glitched and deleted my draft…read more Please make sure to ask them to charge you in Euros because we didn't get the option by the owner and he charged us in USD which costs us more. He's been in business for 44 years so obviously he knows but still charged us in USD which is kinda shady IMO. We decided to dine here due to all the reviews and photos posted. When we approached the restaurant, the owner immediately said "Ni Hao" which I thought was kinda racist. What if I wasn't Chinese? Mink felt offended but we committed to dining there so we did. He asked if we wanted to dine inside or outside. Since it was chilly for Mink, we opted to dine inside where it was 90% full due to a Chinese tour group. They all had the same dish so we figured preset menu for them. I wasn't sure what I was going to get but since they all ate the Ossobuco con risotto alla Milanese in Crosta, I decided to order that as it was one of the dishes I was considering. Mink ordered their Spaghetti ai frutti di mare. I'm not sure why but the owner exclusively took care of us. He also made it a point to bring a photo over of Jay Chow saying he's dined there 4-5 times in the last few years. Maybe that's why the Chinese tour group eats there? He was arrogant enough to brag about how much money he's made because of Jay Chow. There were lots of celebrities that dined there from what gathered looking at his wall of fame. I bet he didn't charge any of them in USD *smh* The Ossobuco con risotto alla Milanese in Crosta was really good and probably the best we had in Milan. They must be able to make this dish with their eyes closed at this point with the daily Chinese tour groups dining there. Their Spaghetti ai frutti di mare was decent but didn't have as much seafood in the dish as other restaurants and the flavor was about average. The bread and EVOO offered was legit though! I loved it and I normally hardly ever eat the complimentary bread. Food is good overall and customer service felt extra. If we didn't get charged USD, wasn't getting bragged to about how much money he made off Jay Chow and wasn't greeted with a "Ni Hao" then the place is 4 stars. Since all that did happened, 2.5 stars.

Chef Maurizio sat at our table and shared pictures on his phone of all of the dishes. He made a few recommendations and they were much appreciated. The dishes are served family style - to be shared. The restaurant is on a side street near the busy (with tourists from every corner of the globe) Duomo area. It is easy to find. It has a charming decor (though it is a bit darker and more romantically appointed than other area restaurants, as well as having an underground and almost bordello vibe). It is also larger than it might appear, as there are both ground floor, as well as a lower eating area seemingly for larger groups, as well as used during busier times. We have only eaten on the ground floor level. The menu offers ample variety, but is not what one would term extensive. It tends upscale, though not extremely costly (arguably average to slightly above average fine restaurant prices), but portions are on the smaller side. They have a specialty in dishes augmented and emphasizing the use of truffles, of which we have sampled several times. Over the course of our several meals we've had every pasta and risotto offered with truffle shavings. Of the appetizers we can recommend the meatballs, which are delicate and small, the bacon wrapped shrimp, and the octopus. Their desserts are also not the run of the mill and warrant tastings. All and all, we will always repeat here when in Milan. Frankly, though their Yelp average score is pretty good, we were surprised they do not have a higher Yelp average score.
