This place has NO inside dining. Instead it is take out only. Yet, they have extremely loud Jamaican music playing in their parking lot with houses right next door. If I lived in that neighborhood I'd be p/$$÷d. Total disrespect of the neighborhood. I ordered $60 worth of food to take home. I thought it was interesting that they had a sign that said all customers paying by credit card had to show a driver's license due to the high incidents of fraud. However, no one asked me for one when I paid. Yet, I had stood in line behind at least 10 people and they showed one. Hmmmm. The front counter is absolutely cluttered in tacky signs. Ugh. I also didn't like the fact that all the employees were wearing masks. You could not hear them or identify them. After placing your order, they take your name and phone number to text your order is ready. There were 3 chairs you could sit at inside. Although the heat outside was horrendous, not everyone could stay inside where the AC is to wait for their order. Now the food: I got the chicken meat pie (very good), beef meat pie (good), cod fritter (ok). The jerk chicken wings were good, but not spicy. My husband ordered the bbq chicken and it was ok. I got the red snapper and it was just ok. I got the rice and beans, but it didn't have any flavor. Overall, ok place if you just want something to eat, but I've had much better Jamaican food at lots of places. I'd skip this place, especially if you want to eat at a restaurant.

The dining setting is so pretty and the vibe is amazing. When me and my mom and daughter walked in, it did take a little bit for somebody to come to the front, but she was in the bathroom. so I have no complaints the portion was a lot, and the food was hot. I loved it didn't take long to come out the service was amazing We will continue to dine in usually we just do takeout They be busy almost every day they're open, especially with take out. The bathrooms was super clean

Take out | Dinner | $20-30 Listen ... I have experienced the hype! My partner and I both ordered oxtails; rice and peas, cabbage, and fried plantains were included. The order was placed around 8:20 p.m. and was received around 9:10 p.m - Completely reasonable for authentic Jamaican takeout. When we entered the waiting area to pay, they were well packed with customers. The restaurant smelled amazing throughout the parking lot and inside. Many authentic drinks available to purchase, from personal 20oz to liters. The waiting area was on the smaller side, with a few seating available. Their dining room has been closed for some time as well, which I do find an inconvenience. While waiting for your order, do listen out for your name or order number to be called. Personally, I recommend ordering ahead and setting a realistic expectation regarding wait time; at-least 30 minutes. Our drive home was roughly twenty minutes away and the food remained its temperature. It was phenomenal! Everything served was cooked perfectly. First time trying plantains, and oh were they yum! Definitely order yourself a side of beef patty. It has the great amount of spice to it. I was very impressed with this visit and hope to be back soon. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Rice and Peas, Beef Patty, Oxtail Parking space: Somewhat difficult to find parking Parking options: Free parking lot Parking: I would say there is plenty of parking, but due to the demand of the business and waiting times, parking is limited. You will have some difficulty finding spot.

The main thing I love about this place is that the food is consistently good. I've never eaten inside but it's always clean. The service is efficient enough and reliable.

Wait until the end! How does it look? The chicken wasn't dry, but wasn't juicy either. It's right there on the edge of maybe sitting out. Then to add to the mystery, wasn't even warm. You could tell it at least was grilled, but the jerk taste wasn't about anything. I tasted the grill more than the jerk. There was a sauce on the side in a little cup, but it wasn't anywhere close to jerk. For the kicker, I always do no tip when I 1st visit a restaurant & I do takeout. Here's what the cashier did, I selected no tip, but I noticed the screen wouldn't close. She asked if I wanted a receipt, I said no since I ordered online & it gave me a receipt then. I knew something was up by the feeling I got when I walked away. HOW ABOUT A 20% TIP ADDED TO MY PURCHASE WHEN I SELECTED NO TIP AT CLOSE OUT! FORGET CARD COMPANY, I'M REPORTING LEGALLY! BE CAREFUL WHO YOU PLAY GAMES WITH! I'M NOT CRYING(20%=$2.99) ABOUT THE TIP, BUT A THEFT!

The food here is good, I got the beans and rice plantain and curry chicken. I also ordered curry goat, and ox tail with a couple of their veggie patties. The curry chicken and the curry goat are the best items on their menu. They also deliver which I was thankful for, great service!

First time trying Jamaican food and it was delicious, lots of flavor and large food selection to pick from. Customer service was excellent and place is very clean.

I have been wanting oxtails for some time now but every time I would drive by this place, it is ALWAYS packed. I decided to go a little earlier today and that was the perfect idea! I placed an order for Oxtails, Jerk chicken wings and a Veggie Pattie. They are not allowing dine in at the moment nor can you wait inside for your order. For safety reasons, once you place your order, they ask you for a number and tell you that they will call you once your order is ready. Also note, they are only allowing 5 people inside at a time.

Sweet and sour chicken, way too sweet in my opinion!

Don't worry bout a thing, mon! Keep it irie and head over to Da Reggae Cafe to fulfill all your caribbean food desires! There isn't a vast amount of Caribbean food available in the Greensboro area, but Da Reggae Cafe is one of the longest standing places. They are now in a much larger and attractive location in the building that was formerly Akashi sushi. If youre looking for a hearty meal of meat, rice, beans, and other accoutriments... this is definitely a great place to go. I had the pot roast with rice, beans, cabbage, and an order of roti. The pot roast itself was very tasty. Rich and deep flavors in the gravy, tender meat, melts in your mouth kind of stuff. The cabbage was probably my second favorite part, followed by the beans in rice which were just fine. The roti was not my most favorite version. A little bland compared to others I have tried, but it worked fine as a tortilla for all the good stuff on my plate.

I can't say that this will be my go to place for Jamaican food. The curry chicken was okay but the rice was very dry. They did give a decent portion but over all 5.5 of 10 for me. I also got a side of Mac&Cheese but got Macaroni Cheese out of a box!!! Trouble!!

Jerk Chicken, no spice at all. Cabbage is good but slim. Rice and Peas bland bland bland.

Damn. Can't answer the phone, fine. Order online or in person. 6pm and you don't have white meat chicken cause you run out? Inventory control and sub zero freezers. I wasn't going to complain until I saw the sad wing and thigh. We asked for Boston Jerk Sauce on the side you slapped BBQ on everything. Some of us not from here, but I know this is passing in Greensboro for those who never been pon yard. Rice needs salt and love. The cabbage is good but you'd think it was expensive. Sad meal. They don't even make the pineapple ginger juice. ‍‍‍

Everything was very flavorful and the jerk sauce and seasoning is great. It's a sweet heat but not too much that you can't enjoy it. I find they were very easy to order through. Just check out their Instagram page which houses a link to order from. I love that the wait time is as outlined and each time, my food was ready and hot. It's very hard to find good Caribbean food and this one is worth trying. Price wise, they are fair so don't get alarmed. They are very big portions. They do have an oxtail steak and cheese that's priced at $30. I may give it a try next time. I'll keep you all posted if I do lol.

We ordered two rolling cheesesteaks, mac & cheese, a jerk chicken combo (after being told they didn't have enough shrimp for the original order and asking us to substitute), plus drinks. The biggest issue was pricing. Our total came to almost $60, and the math didn't seem right based on posted pricing. When I asked for a receipt and questioned the charge, resolving the discrepancy became unnecessarily difficult before I finally received an $8 correction. That alone left a bad impression. Another concern was cleanliness. While waiting, I personally noticed and photographed visible buildup/staining in the food holding/display areas, which did not create a clean or appetizing impression. As for the food: The rolling cheesesteaks were decent but very greasy. The mac & cheese was underwhelming. The jerk chicken combo was also extremely oily/greasy. Drinks were ok. For the amount spent, the food quality and overall experience simply did not justify the cost. Cute concept, but major improvements are needed in pricing transparency, cleanliness, and consistency.

My initial introduction was when they were located in Stock and Grain Food Hall. I had wanted to try them for a while and luckily I was invited to a Yelp Event where I was able to sample some items. But as some months passed, they are no longer in Stock and Grain but in a food truck in High Point. I highly suggest following their Facebook page for dates and times where you can catch them. The service was still wonderful and the food was really good. The sweet potato cornbread is one of my favs and the chicken wings and catfish bites were fried to perfection. I love collard greens but do understand, everyone makes them differently. My family is from eastern NC so we make ours savory, theirs have a little sweetness to it. I don't mind it but this time around was so much better, it was very well balanced. The mac and cheese was delicious as well. Although not pictured, do check out their Russian tea drink.
