Came here with a group of 5 for Saturday brunch. We had a reservation for soon after Kokomo opened…read moreand were seated fairly quickly. Service overall was a bit slow but good. Their playlist is great so vibes were on point. We all shared the lemon drop cocktail tower. It was super cute, tasty, fun, and did what it had to do for us pre-day party. For food, I tried the bao fish tacos and the crab curry gyoza. Both of these items were good but for the amount that comes with them it's pricy (you get 2 small bao tacos and 4 pieces of gyoza, both of which are $20-22 each). I liked the bao tacos the most because of the mixture of flavors and textures, including the excellently friend fish. The gyoza was different. It wasn't bad but I think I'm just used to crispy/fried gyoza vs these which were boiled/soft. My friends really enjoyed the crab fried rice. The fried sweet plantains were just ok to me; The batch we got were dry and not that sweet.

Most underrated: * gem in Williamsburg…read more * elite Caribbean dishes * romantic/date night spots * Caribbean brunch/lunch menu Service is impeccable. The couple who owns Kokomo deserve an award, if they don't have many already. The food is incredible. I've had both lunch and dinner. I can't say I have a favorite. But what stands out to me is: jerk chicken, mac and cheese, the lamb. Wait, my fave was the flatbread pizza with pasta and jerk chicken. My partner throughly enjoyed and raves about the oxtail. The mixed drinks were equally exceptional.

Escovitch fish meal which came with plantains, rice and peas, and spinach. Everything was still warm and tasty when I arrived home. The order was packaged nicely. Definitely, nice portions for the prices. Place is clean. Staff is friendly, informative, and service was amazing. It takes about 10 minutes for the fish since they make it to order. I will soon be back and may have them do some catering orders for me( usually order from the location on flatbush). Pop in if you ever get in the area and want some hot warming food.

Upon arrival the restaurant is very clean, and the service was fast. There is a dine in area as well. The woman who took my order was very patient , and personable. I ordered a brown stew fish, cabbage and 3 small soups. Everything came out to about $49. The chicken soup was very good . The cabbage was also very good. The fish on the other hand was very salty and not worth the $20 charge (fish with no sides). I get it the area etc etc but for the price the food should be top notch. The other establishments are much better. Would I return.....I don't think so .

This is an intimate and cozy space, great to sit and talk without the noise of a loud space. Music was played, but not obnoxious and there is a tv. For the table, we ordered the oxtail stew, fried chicken, yams, collard greens, and mac & cheese. I also had a Peach Bellini for a little bubbly. Everything was exactly as I remembered -perfectly cooked and well seasoned, large portions with more than enough to take home. The chef stopped by our table which was a nice touch. Service overall was great. They also make great use of such a small space. It is indeed well worth the visit. Side note, we ordered the same exact items off the menu as we did a year ago...only one thing was missing which was the biscuits with the flavored butter jam. We were told the biscuits were replaced with cornbread. I didn't order the cornbread this time around but would like to see the biscuits return at some point.

Fat Fowl is located inside a food hall, which is great because you get to explore and try delicious food from other vendors, too. I ordered the oxtail grilled cheese (because, duh! ), along with plantains. Everything was delicious! I was a little worried the sandwich might be too greasy or heavy, but it was just right. Absolutely no complaints here! Now, a few things to keep in mind if you plan to visit. The food hall was busy when I went, and finding a seat was a struggle. My advice? Divide and conquer! Have one person scout out seats while everyone else orders the food. Also, since it's a food hall, be prepared for noise. Between the different restaurants calling out orders and all the activity, it can get pretty loud. But shoutout to the cook controlling the music because whoever was on aux deserves a RAISE! That man kept the place JAMMING ! Next time I'm in Brooklyn, I'm definitely coming back. That oxtail grilled cheese has me in a chokehold already.
