The food was delicious, we had the home made sorrel perfectly sweetened and the right amount of ginger. The oxtail with rice and peas with cabbage was on point. The meat was perfectly tender and the gravy was savory, the rice and peas was moist and delicious, the cabbage had a nice flavor and texture and the side of fry plantains were perfect, the right level of soft and sweet. I liked the bao tacos the most because of the mixture of flavors and textures, including the excellently friend fish. The gyoza was different. It wasn't bad but I think I'm just used to crispy/fried gyoza vs these which were boiled/soft. My friends really enjoyed the crab fried rice. The fried sweet plantains were just ok to me; The batch we got were dry and not that sweet.

Escovitch fish meal which came with plantains, rice and peas, and spinach. Everything was still warm and tasty when I arrived home. The order was packaged nicely. Definitely, nice portions for the prices. Place is clean. Staff is friendly, informative, and service was amazing. It takes about 10 minutes for the fish since they make it to order. I will soon be back and may have them do some catering orders for me( usually order from the location on flatbush). Pop in if you ever get in the area and want some hot warming food.

Everything was exactly as I remembered -perfectly cooked and well seasoned, large portions with more than enough to take home. The chef stopped by our table which was a nice touch. Service overall was great. They also make great use of such a small space. It is indeed well worth the visit. Side note, we ordered the same exact items off the menu as we did a year ago...only one thing was missing which was the biscuits with the flavored butter jam. We were told the biscuits were replaced with cornbread. I didn't order the cornbread this time around but would like to see the biscuits return at some point.

I also had a side of the mac and cheese which was so moist and flavorful! The broccoli was topped with a very nice vinaigrette. The service was superb. I especially appreciated Patrick's patience with my choice of chicken request and care to my plate, served with a smile. Compliments to the chef! I will be back!
