Da Maria absolutely lives up to its reputation. The food was so outstanding on our first visit that we immediately made reservations to return the following night.
We found that sharing one pasta dish and one pizza provided the perfect amount of food for two hungry diners. The scialatielli with seafood was exceptional, and the seafood risotto equally impressive. Among the pizzas, the eggplant Parmesan version stood out as my favorite, though the shrimp and zucchini pizza deserves serious consideration as well.
While the food was flawless, the service didn't quite match the quality of the food. The restaurant gets extremely busy, leading to longer wait times than ideal. However, Mario deserves recognition for his efforts to coordinate between customers, wait staff, and kitchen, keeping operations flowing as smoothly as possible under the circumstances.
Given how popular Da Maria is, particularly on weekends, arrive early or stop by in advance to secure a reservation. Despite the service challenges, the exceptional food makes this a dining experience you won't want to miss. read more
