Cute new sushi place in the san lorenzo area. I was really excited after seeing the rave reviews on yelp. We are always on the hunt for a great sushi place and this one is very ornate inside, you can choose to sit on one of the lower tables which is really neat (ask for that in the reservation). We ordered a few different dishes, including a delicious simple miso soup and a fried shrimp tempura with a bowl of ramen. Both were excellent. We also ordered a sushi 'barca' which came with a variety of sushi, sashimi etc. which were all very good, I did enjoy the freshness of the sashami. We ordered a bottle of wine, which the only downside was there wasn't much explanation pr service in that regard, I did feel like the waiter was a bit rushed. Expect to pay around 42€ a person. Dessert we tried fried milk which was very fried but oh my madonna latte it was great! I definitely recommend trying it, I saw they have special lunch menus so I will definitely be back with friends :-).

Fancy japanese restaurant hidden behind the majestic Basilica di San Lorenzo. The menu is quite wide and presents a vast choice of fried food, noodles and rice dishes, soups and a little of appetizers. They have special rolls too and the boat menu (osomaki, futomaki, nigiri, sashimi etc) where you get to have regular sushi for one or two persons (40€). The miso has a rich taste and I saw desserts were quickly devoured, they also brought us a glass of lemon ice to clean our palates. The place is beautifully furnished, black mahogany, spacious, with different styles of accomodations like the low table where you kneel, the regular tables, the private ones. Kimonos and drawings representing Japan hanging all over, Bonsai trees and Oriental potteries, red is the main color contrasting the dark walls. In the end we were 9 and we spent 38 € each, we were stuffed and satisfied, but still we all agreed that for such a restaurant prices are definitely too pretentious. Though, they do have great lunch deals.

    The spider roll! Delicious!
