You can only have so much pasta and gnocchi , so I head off to this buffet place. Coming from New York and who worked for a Japanese firm for five years--- it's not bad. The tuna wasn't fresh but the salmon and sea bass were great. For the price in this district, I'd say 23 euro is not bad. I had raw salmon in the central market for about 4 euro and it was a tiny serving. Overall, it's very good. They can make chirashi and handrolls for you. It's must be Chinese owned because it has Chinese fried rice. And about the previous review that the fish is at room temperature, well in Japan it's always served at room temperature and super fresh. It all depends if the fish is fresh or not. Sometimes u just get a craving it's hard to find a decent place with an equally decent price. A superb Japanese restaurant in New York has well trained Japanese chef. My husband paid about $500 for a two-person meal) it's supposed to be the Jiro -trained sushi masters... Gotta roll my eyes on that bec I smell 'marketing') At this place, it's an affordable place for a lone traveler like me. I'm spending $30 euro just eating an eight of a whole pizza and pasta ... So eating here is a relief Sushi: it's ok. I feel like I'm eating Whole Foods sushi. Sashimi: except for tuna, the salmon and sea bass were very fresh. Italians also sell raw salmon it in the market and you can eat it raw the Italian way for $4 a tiny portion. Hand roll: too much rice. Spicy roll: it's not the New York spicy sauce. I'm partial to Japanese mayo and spicy sesame oil. Shrimp tempura: they use very good panko bread and the shrimp tempura has a nice straight shape. There are some out there with panko bread falling off on an irregular shape shrimp.

Nice seating, good service and reasonable prices. We loved the chicken hot pot with black mushrooms. The sushi was fresh and delicious.

He was excited when I told him about a sushi place on the same block. I made rezzies at 7pm (when they open) and we were the first ones there. So early that the staff was still eating their dinner. We read the service could be slow so we were happy to be the only ones there and luckily Italians eat late because and hour in this restaurant was packed and then I can understand the slower service. Luckily we did a majority of our eating before it got busy so we got a good amount of food. As a couple we filled out the entire front page and a a few boxes in the back that I think we scared the owners. The AYCE is the obvious way to go. If you eat even 4 to 5 items you're already at the cost. I'm not a sushi eater but I did make my way through the prawn teppanyaki which was delicious and the shrimp tempura! The tempura batter is perfect! Not overly battered and thick and I ordered multiple of this dish. My husband said the rolls were pretty mediocre but the hand rolls were great! We actually started to feel guilty because we were eating our weight in food so we decided to order dessert so we could "spend" money that wasn't in the AYCE. The dessert was a no for me unfortunately. My husband got the green tea ice cream and it was icy and I had this lemon thing which I thought was supposed to be like a sorbet but it was a drink which I saw the server shake up from a huge bottle and pour it into a glass and mixed it with a straw... definitely could have passed on this. We're from California so we know good sushi and even amazing okakase experiences but for this price, it wasn't bad! My husband even tried to get us to come back again but we'd keep thinking we scared the owners if they had to see us again.

My boyfriend and I came here while in Florence to also get a break from the local food (as most…read morereviews have said also). At first, we sat outside and our waitress came out to take our order. We ordered the pork dumpling appetizer (which was alright) and said we needed a little more time to decide on our main dishes. After she delivered our dumplings, she was never to be seen again, and we were waiting for at least 20 minutes... so we figured we would move inside to hope for better service. After moving in, we finally got our order taken by a new waiter and ordered the Thai fried rice and the spicy chicken skillet. The chicken dish came out in a normal amount of time (about 15 min) but there was no Thai fried rice. We figured maybe they were bringing it out right after the first dish. However, another 15 minutes went by and still no Thai fried rice, so we called the waiter over and asked about it. He was confused and brought us white rice and we said no we ordered the Thai fried rice... so finally he got it and you could tell the kitchen had forgotten about it and made it right then. The fried rice came out about 10 min after we said something to the waiter, so it was all very awkward timing of our food being brought out. As for the food, I thought it was average (I don't usually eat a lot of Asian food since I'm gluten free and in the US it doesn't agree with me), but my boyfriend does eat more of it and he said he would give this place a 1 out of 5 rating based on food and overall experience. I don't usually focus on negative factors of an experience, but this was not the best dining experience I have had, for sure.

Went here for some takeaways and had very rude staff. Asked for some cutlery like spoon and fork…read morebut apparently we were only allowed to choose only one - where is the hospitality?? Haven't even ate the food yet but I know its shit. The one who seems like the owner is not very nice too.
