The food was incredible for the price and very decorative! We did the all you can eat option and it was only about 27 euros per person. The service was very fast and everything was delicious. The many vegan options were amazing too with the avocado maki, carciofo roll, mango maki, kappa maki, yasai gyoza (veggie dumplings), harumaki (spring rolls), misoshiru, and edamame. The carciofo roll was the most creative and tasty vegan option I have seen at a sushi place. It had an artichoke cream on top and a little bit of fried vegtables inside. The veggie dumplings were also amazing along with all the other food. For nonvegans, there was so many options from pistacchio rolls to the temaki shake to gunkan spicy tuna. Their menus are all online and one is included with the link below. They are very helpful with dietary restrictions because next to every item they put a little emblem that represents the allergies inside like milk, eggs, gluten, seafood, etc. The ambiance was great too with all the decorations and polite servers. I think this place isn't bad for 10 euros all you can eat sushi for lunch between the hours of 12:00-15:00! It's a really small place, probably not worth going with like more than 4 people at a time. Everything in their menu is part of the all you can eat which is nice. I tried all the nigiri they offered, which were all basic fish like shrimp, salmon, tuna, and sea bass. I liked the quality of the fish a lot! The rolls they offer here are pretty basic , with some a little unusual than others (tiger roll, sakura roll, ebiten); i liked the ebiten roll the most (had shrimp and potato chips?? Wha.) and the basic california roll & spicy tuna. All their portions are pretty small, so I wouldn't complain if I kept ordering more! They offer hand rolls, little rice dishes with fish on top (cirashi) , maki rolls, and sushi boxes. Only sashimi they offer is a 4pc serving of salmon.Their miso soup comes in the cutest little bowl with a lid on top! The only reason I'm giving two stars is because the sushi was actually pretty good but the service was DISGUSTING. Do not come here if your a young female. My waiter was acting a little weird but I thought he was just trying to joke around. When I ask if I pay at the counter he says to me " no you pay outside, follow me" thinking he was trying to be funny I just laugh. He then proceeds to ask me what the most popular iced tea is in the US and he asks me to write it down. As I write something down he ask if HE CAN KISS ME. I say NO. He then proceeds to tells me that the price will be "20 euro and a kiss" and I say I'm not kissing you. He says "next time you come in". THERE WILL BE NO NEXT TIME. He also asked us who told us about this restaurant and if she was hot. All of this was taking place while me and my friend, who is also a young female were the only ones there. My dad is an avid fisherman so my palate is what one would consider spoiled. I'm not one to consume fish beyond the safety net that is California and yet I was dragged along and pleasantly surprised. My friends Bern and Sarah have a weekly Thursday 'Asian Night,' which has exposed me to cute hole-in-the-walls with well priced cuisine. Sushinami, in spite of its minimal seating, is efficient and filling. I've gone for lunch (€10) and dinner (€16.80) and I've come to the conclusion that dinner is a far better option considering how most of the tables are reserved during lunch time which often results in parties being turned away or sitting at the limited sushi bar (seats 4). My favorite combination of dishes would have to be: the salad, the miso, the tiger roll/ebiten, then the tempura. As a studentessa who has no soldi (aka broke female NYU student) I found Sushinami to be a nice respite from the Pasta Land that is Firenze. Their salmon is fresh and I love that the Tiger satiates my desire for something crunchy with some raw fish (it's a tempura shrimp roll topped with slivers of salmon). Although the food is delicious, I will not be returning to Sushi Nami ever again. Online, it says that the restaurant should open at 11:30 and on the door it says 12. This would be fine, but they consistently don't open until around 12:30-12:45, even when people are standing outside, waiting for them to open. The reason why I'm not coming back is solely based on the experience I am having right now. As I type this, I'm sitting in the restaurant and have been here for over an hour waiting for my food. We have only been brought two out of the ten items we ordered and when we asked where our food was, the waitress tells us she has already brought it to us. When we tell her that we never received eight of the items we ordered, she tries to fight us and tell us that she remembers giving it to us. This is not the way you treat paying customers in this restaurant. Furthermore, the yelp page says that this restaurant is great for groups. This could not be further from the truth. I usually come in with a group of 5-8 people. We come exactly when the open (usually 30 minutes later than they are supposed to) to make it easier for them to seat us. However, most times we are told that they can't seat us, in a completely empty restaurant. Today, we walk in with a group of 8 and they told us that the whole restaurant is reserved. As we were waiting, multiple groups walk in, without reservations, and are seated on the spot. Our group is always more than willing to split in to two tables, but even then, they give us a hard time. The hospitality at Sushi Nami is absolutely horrendous, and as someone who works will all the study abroad students in florence, I will no longer be recommending it as a place to eat. read more

Horrible experience recently. Do not go "Sushinami" for their Lunch hours (Lunch special all you can eat.) I went to restaurant with diverse group of people last week. I was really excited and I wanted to introduce sushi & asian food to people who i met in here. Overall, it turned out it was one of the worst experience i had it so far in Italy. I do not understand way they do business. Owner does not appreciate people who are coming here for lunch buffet. (we arrived around 1pm) They kept pushing and telling us that kitchen will be close soon (we still have one hour left it was around 1:30pm). And owner even said we are "Running out of fish, we don't have enough fish for your group" About ten minutes later, we found out that there are 2 group coming for non-buffet reservation (group of 2 and group of 4 people) If you made a promise with customer for time of lunch special! My experience here was awful. I came in during their lunch hours, which I understand is a busy time for them. However, when I entered it was not entirely full. So I approached a waitress and asked for a table, however, all she kept telling me was no. I spoke in Italian, then tried English, and even tried Spanish and all she could say was no. She didn't offer me an explanation as to why I couldn't eat there at the time. I then proceeded by asking if I could come back at a later time, perhaps when they were less 'busy', and all I got was a no, again. This is a ridiculous way to run an establishment. It would be a different story if I was being rude, but I wasn't, I was very proper. I will surely not try to dine here ever again and encourage others to do the same. To be honest, this was quite a horrible experience. Me and my best friend, who have both been studying in Florence for the last 4 months were extremely excited to go in on our sushi craving. However, our dining experience from start to finish was one of extremely poor service. Our server was not friendly whatsoever. I ordered the "all you can eat" for 17 euros, hoping that my friend and I would be able to share portions of the rolls I ordered. The server immediately came up to our table and told my friend she wasn't allowed to eat because I was the only one who ordered the all you can eat option. Really? Then, I asked for a "to-go" box so I could take the remainder of the food that I was unable to finish to save for my friend who wasn't allowed to eat. The server tells me I am not allowed to box my food, and I respond by saying "Why can't we box the food since I'm full and it would just go to waste?" and simply told me they couldn't and the food will just go to waste, then proceeded to walk away. I have never in my life felt more uncomfortable in a dining experience in my entire life. This was a total nightmare. read more
