We were visiting the area for a very quick trip and this restaurant is near where family live, they recommended this place. We ordered take out, so I can't speak on the ambience. We had pizza, which came with a good portion of salad- it was very flavorful. Would reorder again. We also had the seafood dish, the name escapes me now; it had lobster and a few other kinds of seafood. I want to say it was around $40. It was flavorful and I did enjoy it, although I felt like I had to pick quite a few hard pieces from the pasta. I think it was bits of shell or another hard part of the lobster that wasn't properly removed. I had the caesar salad, which was fine. My last note, and this was not necessarily abnormal for this kind of restaurant, but when we paid at the hostess stand for our meal; the hostesses took a tip from our change. When the girl kept my change, I understood what had happened and let it slide because it wasn't too much. However, my Mother didn't realize what was happening and continued to wait for her change, which was several dollars. The hostess said, "Oh. Do you NEED change??" It was very rude & embarrassing for my Mother, who politely declined the change and we left. Why are we tipping the hostesses for quite literally handing us our food? And why would you just assume that you can take a tip? Odd. read more

Just okay all around. Food was overpriced and salty. They seem to have a nickel-and-dime strategy like the credit card fee, charging $3 for a teaspoon of blue cheese on salad (which they don't tell you about), apparently a cake cutting fee, and automatic gratuity for parties of 6. Wait staff don't care about the experience or providing any individual attention since they each only do 10% of the whole job. That whole 'multiple waiters' thing is annoying and ruins the experience, especially since no one person is even good at their specific duty. It has been awhile since we last dined at this restaurant. Tonight we are happy we returned. First of all the service from the moment we arrived was excellent. Our waiter Zeke was outstanding. He was attentive and checked in with us often to make sure we were happy with our food and service. I had veal scallopini and my wife had chicken Piccata. Both of our meals were well prepared included a nice selection of sides. For dessert don't miss the unbelievably good carrot cake. The restaurant has a nice ambience with plenty of elbow room. Definitely a 5 star for food, service, and ambiance. We will be back on a regular basis. read more

The food is very good. However, charging $2.00 for a cocktail "on the rocks" is ridiculously asinine and petty. Ice cubes are always available and there shouldn't be a need to charge extra. I'll add my own next time for free. read more

Wow the hospitality is not there. Maybe talk to your host on not being so rude and miserable. Called to ask if anything was available for 2 and she was SO rude in her tone. She spoke to me like a I was joke for even asking for thinking there would be space for us. It actually really hurt my feelings and made me never want to come back here and I liked the food the last few times but not enough to feel unwelcome or like crap to even walk through the door. I've lived in many big cities and traveled the world, I know sometimes there can be a snobbish door lady, but this was really next level unkind and for quite honestly no reason. Been a regular at Chateau Marmont, Soho House, Nice Guy, all the snobbiest of the snobby in Los Angeles and never been spoken to that way when requesting a table. It's 2025 it's not cute to be unkind to people who want to give you business anymore, it doesn't make you feel exclusive or special, it just makes me never want to come back. There's a way to speak with people and that lady doesn't get it that's for sure. I could take a "We're fully committed tonight I am sorry," but the "UHHH YEAH HA NOT RIGHT YET." Condescending tone like I was an idiot for even asking was not it. After reading more reviews It seems this is a recurring issue, I think it may be time for that hostess/door woman to retire. read more

Firstly, the food was great as usual--we love all their restaurants. However, our recent carryout experience was disappointing. The hostess was rude upon entering the restaurant. My husband picked up the order and handed the hostess the payment. When she returned, she asked him, "Do you want your change?" He said yes, because he intended to give her a $20 bill for the tip. However, she then condescendingly added, "It's only $7.00." Because of her attitude, he decided to give her the $7.00. I'm not sure if she keeps the carryout tips or if they are shared. We came here on a Friday night because we wanted hear the live entertainment. If you want to hear the music ask to be seated in the first dining room from the bar. When I called for our reservations I specifically asked about the entertainment, yet the hostess tried to seat us three rooms away. We asked to sit closer and we got a better table. We ordered the calamari which is the best calamari in the metro area. For an entree I had the chicken piccata. I took half of it home, it was so delicious and the portion was very generous. Surprisingly delicious! While on way to another Italian restaurant in the area, I must've read the directions incorrectly. While I thought I was going to a different Italian restaurant that is on the same side of the street and within close proximity to Da Edoardo, I shut my GPS off and parked without looking at the name of the place and I'm glad I did. There is paid street parking available for guests. I waited about 15 - minutes for a parking space to open and ended up paying the meter a few dollars. While inside, the interior is dark, romantic, and very authentic. There was a live jazz band playing inside of the bar area which to my surprise was lovely. I didn't have a reservation but was quickly seated outside on the patio. For the temperature being as hot as it was, it was very breezy and cool out on the patio. The waitress was very polite and attentive. I ordered Tagliatelle alla Bolognese with Gluten Free pasta, a house salad, and a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. The food was awesome! The glass of wine was very yummy. What I loved about this place was the atmosphere. I absolutely loved the outdoor dining area and felt extremely relaxed. With plenty of outdoor seating and large brown patio umbrellas that shielded the hot sun. With light house music plying in the background and outdoor lights throughout. The outdoor area was beautiful. Overall, I enjoyed my meal and look forward to coming back again, soon. read more

The photo shown was a $25 pasta dish. The other pasta dish was a chicken Alfredo and the Alfredo sauce was the worst I have ever had. We will not be going back or ordering from Da Eduardo again. Lamb shank was very gamey & too tough to eat, even after cutting it into bite size pieces with a sharp knife. Rissoto lacked salt, on top of tasting water logged. Salad was basic. The Service was mediocre & slow. BUCCI Resturante is much better choice, in my opinion! They are located right down the street, on Mack Ave. Their [Bucci] SERVICE is 2nd to None. My sister got gnocchi and her portion size looked like an appetizer. My mother did get stuffed shells and her portion size was also very small. I'd like to start off by first saying our server was amazing. She completely salvaged the night. I don't remember her name but she was fantastic. The food was also amazing and our server was so attentive and brought it out at the perfect time. However, when I made the reservation I explicitly requested an easy-to-reach, accommodating table as our party of 4 included someone in a large wheelchair. I was assured that would be fine. When we got there, the hostess led us to pretty much the worst possible spot in front of a door to another eating are that my boyfriend would completely block with his chair. Also, no one stuck around to help in case we wanted a chair removed. I was trying to see if I could make it work but there was no possible way. We then asked someone for another table and pointed out one that would be perfect, but we were told that someone reserved that. They asked if we could be put at another table, and we said sure that one looks okay too. We get to the other table and a woman I assume was from management came after we already were sat and settled and said that we were going to have to move our tables down to make room for other people. No apologizing, or asking if we were comfortable. It was a very uncomfortable and upsetting experience. My boyfriend hates being looked at as a complete inconvenience but that's how he felt, it was really a bummer. We've been to much more accommodating restaurants and even smaller establishments that have made room and gone out of their way to make sure we're comfortable. This is and has always been an iconic Italian fine dining in GP. This is where all the highschool students took their dates before a prom, homecoming or whatever significant dance at school. The food is all good. I am happy to know that this place has stood the test of time. read more

Came here today for the first time. My five year anniversary. We were greeted by a very dimly lit restaurant, my reservation was at 6pm and I was sat immediately. Each dining room seemed very small and compacted, with mirrors on the walls to make it seem larger. Seating was comfortable & we had water and bread for the table. Our server was nice but seemed a bit shy, she was very attentive to our needs though. We both tried the barberry martini which was very potent and rather large, but delicious. We tried the calamari for our appetizer because everyone seemed to be raving about it, they didn't lie.. it was so tasty. I got the seafood linguine & my partner tried their hanger steak. The pasta came in a nice clam sauce with mussels and HUGE shrimp, the biggest shrimp I've ever eaten. Such a flavorful dish, truly. Hanger steak came medium rare with zip sauce which was an excellent touch and elevated the steaks flavor. Overall two really good dinners. This was a nice place for dinner and if you're interested in a upscale Italian place, this is for you. I would come back. read more

By the glass my favorite is Lauren Perrier Brut N.V or Nappa, Robusto, Celani Family Vineyards... Starters- Calamari Trifolati, Chargrilled Steak with zip sauce... Salad...- Its a Italian restaurant so Ceaser of course! Soup- Minestrone... Entrées worthy of my liking- Steak Diane "Elegante", Chilean Sea Bass Livornese, Gambroni Portofino, and my favorite pasta dish is their Fettuccine Gabriella. If your on a budget I recommend the "Dinner for 2 with a Bottle of wine for 48.95. You each get to pick one out of 5 entrées Desserts vary... but order a coffee... at least I do after every meal. It pairs nicely with your last dish. Expect to dress accordingly. Don't look like a bum and ruin the ambience for the rest of us... also my bill usually is expensive because when I come here I have high expectations and you will be catered to.
