I absolutely would NOT recommend this company! They suck! I used them in January 2021 & the crew they sent out was great. The 2nd time I needed to move I decided to use them again. This time, however the crew they sent out was horrible. The 3- 'man' crew consisted of an older gentleman, his grandson and some other guy. They had absolutely no regard for my furniture or personal belongings. One of the guys slammed my China cabinet down - a family heirloom - the only item I had to remember my mother who passed. They put a hole in my couch, they broke my patio table, left the rails to my sons bed in the storage where the items were moved from, dropped one of my lamps, dropped all the tiles to my fire pit and broke them. These lazy ass movers left the majority of my stuff in my garage because they were too lazy to carry the boxes & stuff into the house, so I had about 30 boxes all shoved into my garage. Had to hire other another set of movers (and pay) them to move all those boxes from the garage, to the rooms in the house where they belong. I have breast cancer and had a double mastectomy in November so I am not able to carry anything. I contacted Vivian and sent pics, explained the entire moving situation and let her know I was highly disappointed in every aspect of this move. I paid $550 for this move only to have to pay another moving company $250 to finish the job. Vivian said she was sorry for all of the issues, sent me a claim form, told me she would send someone out to get an estimate of the size of the glass needed to replace the glass in my China cabinet, that never happened and I have NEVER heard back from Vivian or anyone else from this lousy company. I have emailed repeatedly asking for a status update - nothing. My move was February 12, 2021. I've had to pay out of my own pocket to get the items they ruined, fixed and/or replaced. This company lies, they do not care at all about people, it's all about money. Do NOT use this company and make sure to let other people know as well! read more

My husband and I moved to Texas from California very recently. We were exhausted and the help we originally had could not assist us last minute. We were "shopping around" for moving companies and found D-Town Movers - which has great reviews! I inquired about quotes through the Yelp app and received a reply almost instantly by the owner, Edward. I also spoke with Amber, (Edwards assistant) and she was able to set everything up with me over the phone around 3:45pm for moving help the next day. Amber was great! We were offered a great price rate, especially for scheduling so last minute before moving into our new apartment. What really sold me was that they were able to schedule our unload and unpack first thing in the morning after we received our new apartment keys. Another company charged a higher rate and didn't have the availability until about 4pm and I did not want to wait all day with the high possibility of it raining. Ronie and Javier (two man moving crew) called us with an ETA and arrived ahead of schedule, which I was perfectly fine with. They were very professional and polite. Ronie and Javier were so fast, they completed within one hour! Later in the day, Edward (owner) called me to ask if everything went smoothly and it did. I wasn't expecting a call so that was nice of him. The only complaint I have that I didn't notice until I was getting ready for bed was that there are markings on the wall near the corners of our headboard for our mattress. It happens when moving. Other then that, it was smooth sailing and couldn't be happier with the service we received. Thank you D-Town Movers! If we decide to move again, we will definitely give you another call and recommend your services to friends. read more

P.S: I am planning to file a suit against these guys. You can email me sree.dfw9@gmail.com to add to my suit if you had any similar issues. This is the 2nd time i have used these guys and went through a horrifying experience. Looks like their standards/professionalism have all vanished. A move which was supposed to last 6-8 hours ended up taking 14+ hours. The crew arrived late by an hour, then in the middle of the move the crew realized that they were falling short of Wrapping sheet and they halted all the wrapping of the furniture. One of the crew member was very slow in loading which was acknowledged by other crew members as well. All this was billed to me for which they should have been prepared before hand. The biggest shocker/surprise came in when the crew arrived to unload my stuff. At the middle of the night they blackmailed me saying unless i make the payment , they would not unload my stuff. I had to make the payment in the middle of the night . Apart from all this ordeal, they were multiple damages to my furniture/appliances/walls/doors and damaged goods in the boxes. Since the crew was slowing down in unloading the stuff, me & my family had to start unloading the stuff to wrap the move. I reached out to their management - Viviana/Edward about my issues and they take forever to respond. Was impressed the 1st time I had used these guys with their professionalism especially their boss Edward when there were some similar issues and since decided to give these guys another chance but i was wrong. Never in my life i would recommend these guys and will never engage them in any of my future moves. Stay away from them . read more

We hired them to move stuff from our master bedroom to our upstairs bedroom. They sent RAUL and LONDON. Turns out D-Town Movers hires criminals on probation. My wife noticed 3 rings missing after they were in our house. We checked the cameras and sure enough there was RAUL stuffing the rings in his pocket. We called the owner and he said he check into it. Turns out our rings ended up found inside the cab of their moving truck , in between the seats. Funny since we didn't hire them to move anything off property. The owner got the rings, said he would get them to us and fire the guys and file a police report. None of those things happened except for us getting the rings back and only after we had to call the owner half a dozen times to get them back. He lied to us on multiple things, he was a no show when he said he would bring us the rings and he didn't get us the information and police report info he said he would get to us. This was after repeated calls and demands for it. We had to file the police report. Even after we stated he seemed to be protecting or colluding with the very criminals he hired. It seems like RAUL is a family member or something. It was not the response you would expect from an owner of a business that had his employees clearly caught stealing from a customer. I don't know if the owner was in on it but I WOULD NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY do to his lack of response and how he handled it and his willingness to protect and hire employees with criminal backgrounds and that are continuing to commit crimes. read more

I contacted several movers when I decided to move a few items from my storage in Allen to my house in FRISCO. D Town Movers was one of the companies I contacted for a qoute. I decided not to move the items right away so I waited 2 months before calling them again. DT Movers gave me a written qoute in April and when I decided to move in June I called them up and asked if my qoute was still good and they said yes, so I hired them on the spot. The movers called me 30 mins prior to arriving at my storage unit for the move, as promised by the dispatch. I was running a little late so they waited for me to arrive. When I got there they were curtious, professional, very friendly and ready to work, They had to move several boxes around in the storage to get to the furniture pices I wanted to move and they never complained. When we arrived at my house, they had two heavy pices that needed to go upstairs and they moved them with ease. They did not scratch my walls, staircase or floors. The people that work for a company are what makes your expirence with them good or bad and what makes you a return customer. Manny, Chuck and Jose were my movers and they were great. I couldn't have asked for a better team. If I ever need to moved again, I will definitely use DT Movers and I will request my same team if they are available. DT Movers, should be proud to have Manny, Jose and Chuck on their team. Thank you. A very satisfied customer! read more

So I'll start by saying that it definitely would have been a 5 star had the timing not be so very off. We had movers scheduled for a time block of 1pm-3pm. I received a call early in the afternoon that they were backed up and the movers would be there around 3:30p-4:00p..ok, no problem. 4:00 pm came around and left so at around 4:30 pm I called back the same person that called me to find out the ETA. At that time he asked if he could check on and call me back. Around 5:30 pm I received a call from I believe Veronica and she then let me know it would be around 6:00pm-6:30pm. They actually finally arrived and started moving our things at 7:00pm. The time issue was my only complaint. The movers, David & Chris, were polite and funny and worked fast. I definitely would use them again I would just schedule a morning move to be one of the first ones on the list next time. Side note-a courtesy discount was not offered for the extreme time delay. Many apologies certainly were though. All and all, definitely worth the price for the work done. AND yes, I tipped them both :) **I was contacted after my review with an apology and discount offer on my next move..which there will be another move indeed. I truly want everyone to know that they are a great service and again, will use and recommend them as much as possible. Thank you Edward!! read more

I needed help packing and found the company on Yelp. Oscar, Jeremy and David showed up on time and ready! I live in a one bedroom apartment and everything was packed in less than 2 hours, which is the minimum ( you still have to pay for 2 hours though ). They were fast and efficient. The same company will be moving me out of my apartment tomorrow and my husband out of his house tomorrow into our new home! Lets see how that goes! So far, I am satisfied with the service and the crew. Lets see how the move goes tomorrow! As far as packing goes, I highly recommend them! Day 2, Moving- The office gives you a window for crew arrival, mine was between 8:00am and 10:00am. I spoke to Oscar on day of packing and asked if at all possible that they come in as early as possible. He was courteous enough to call me in the morning and they arrived before 09:00am! Considering that I was moving out of my apartment and after that the crew was to stop at my husband's house and move him as well, an 8 hour day for moving both homes was NOT BAD at all!!! I did request a 4 man crew though, to speed it up! This crew kept working at the same speed by 03:00pm as they did in the morning!!! Nothing was broken, scratched, damaged. I give them a FIVE STAR! Most definitely would hire them again and again! Thank you D Town Movers for making this move bearable! read more

I have used a variety of moving companies throughout the past couple of years but D-Town Movers was by far my favorite. The crew arrived promptly on time and after parking, the crew began packing my apartment in a brisk but careful manner. One area that set these movers apart was them shirk wrapping all of furniture. While I had previously shirk wrapped some of my furniture the night before, the industrial shrink wrapping they used made a big difference. After packing all of my belongings in their truck, they drove to our storage unit in Carrollton and began placing my belongings in 10x10 unit. I was initially concerned it wouldn't be able to fit in that size of unit but the crew methodically placed my belongings in the unit and I even had space not used which I had not expected. I was done in less than 2 hours which was impressive considering that included the time driving from East Dallas to Carrollton. The crew was very nice and I learned that it was best to just get out of the way and let them do their things as these are professional movers. I would recommend paying extra for the 3rd movers as I felt it made a big difference having the extra set of hands. Overall, I had a great experience using D-town Movers and will use them again in the future. read more

These guys are great. They were top notch on all aspects. Super friendly and informative upon my 1st call. They will willing to come to my house and provide an estimate for free. Eduardo was not pushy or anything. He was very consultative and helpful. Unfortunately, we had a number of closing delays but D-Town Movers were flexibility with everything. They were so flexible that I felt bad asking for more changes. Through it all, Leyta always spoke with a smile and supported everything. When it came to the actual move, the team we worked with were fantastic. We had the all-star team of Roberto, Alex & Alex. These guys were fast and very creative. They had to take my office desk through the windows to get it out of my house. They were very careful with everything and wrapped things very good. After the move, they not only carried the furniture but carried all of the boxes to the appropriate room. We had 18 years of stuff so I can't understate how much they helped at this stage. Again, I give D-Town Movers my highest rating. They exceeded my expectations so much that I feel guilty that I only gave them a 20% tip. After writing this review, I think they deserved more. read more

I chose D-Town Movers because they had great Yelp reviews (& and unhappy comments were responded to), their pricing was equivalent or better than the other 7 companies I received quotes from, and the office staff was very friendly & helpful even prior to selecting them. Zach, Angel & Frank moved us with D-Town Movers. They arrived on time within window (even providing 2 update calls on their ETA), were extremely friendly, and all spoke English perfectly. They followed directions perfectly, and asked before doing if they had a question. They pointed out damage that was pre-existing to the furniture and the house, just to ensure that I knew it had not been caused by them. Nothing was damaged during our move, which is a first for me after having moved about 15 times in my life. Although the guys are paid by the hour, they worked like they were being paid by the job, hustling in and out while also being careful with my belongings. If it had not been raining in the morning, I would've said it was a perfect move. But, from the perspective of the movers themselves, it was the best move I have ever had. I would highly recommend D-Town Movers to any & everyone. read more

I have used this company twice and I am amazed at how well oiled and professional they are. In January 2014, I needed my items to be off loaded from the Pods, then to storage, to finally my apartment on the third floor. Most companies would only provide 2-3 people and they would be hesitant on moving dual recliner sofas but Edward provided a football team with proper trucks for moving. When he saw the dual recliners he said, "This is easy." This first move took 6 hours and I believe the price charged to be reasonable considering the cold weather and the non stop action. * And he wrapped up items I would never have thought to - it helps to make the move so much more easier * 2015, yes I moved again and who did I call? That's right( D-Town Movers). From the 3rd floor to a new location took 5 hours and once again, Edward wrapped up items for me. *Fellas, time to tuck the Egos aside because his dad also moves and lifts with him* This time I "Tried to help move items" and I burned out faster than a candle. More power to you Edward because your company does what others cannot. (( I highly recommend this company for all your moving pleasures )) read more

This company replies very quickly, as when I have received an email with the quotes, I was called immediately after my own reply. I spoke with Jackie and she explained things in more detail, including a deposit to hold the date for the move. The deposit was $25 with a supposed processing fee of 3%, but interestingly, the total charge amounted to $28. $25 would be credited towards the final bill. I still do not understand how 3% of $25 is $3, hence the 4 star rating. I really do look forward to my moving date, especially considering all of the other positive reviews about the company. If all goes well, expect a well-deserved upgrade from 4 to 5 stars! UPDATE after move: I read a review on Yelp that the move was completed in about 2 hours and I thought it was written by someone the company knew. However, on the day of my move, the 3 guys were incredible! I have never seen movers work as hard as these guys! I want to thank you again for the really quick and hassle-free move that was provided! I would definitely recommend this moving company and use them again! Thank you again for drastically reducing the stress of moving! read more

I used D-Town movers after obtaining 17 quotes to relocate my office from Greenville TX to Plano TX. 12 of them said that they could do it with a single 27' truck, 3 said they wouldn't do it, 2 said that it could be done with two 27' trucks. I selected D-Down because Edward came to my office, walked it and provided a very competitive quote. I packed all of the small and equipment items, so the items to be moved were the bulky, heavy desks, cubicles, chairs, fridge, tables, and heavy items. Zach, Ivan, Frank, and Angel arrived on July 6th, wrapped all of the desks with plastic and had two trucks loaded to the tops in 3.5 hours. Drove to Plano, unloaded in 3 hours and we decided to use them for one more load. Edward lowered the rate significantly for the 3rd load and 3 hours later, I had everything in our new office. Desks were placed in the correct locations by the guys. We even had to take a couple of doors off the offices to get the furniture in. These guys were great! No wasted time, they even ran down the ramps with boxes to get them inside. I would recommend them for any move. read more

Corey, David, Marcus, and Anthony were amazing. They were extremely efficient and payed close attention to detail. Corey really took the time to make sure every need was met and listened to my long list of conditions and things I needed. I'm a single young woman living alone and can sometimes be a diva with how and where I want my things. I also don't always have a man to help me with the extra guy stuff that comes with moving and if Corey ever saw me struggling to reach for something I wasn't tall enough to get or saw me struggling to understand how tv cords work and which ones plug into what, he would instantly be there to help and accommodate me. Another thing that really stood out to me was that David (or Anthony? I can't remember which one) found cash money when moving my couches and he instantly came up to me and gave it to me. Unfortunately in the world we live in today, that rarely happens. I knew from that point on these were boys with integrity and that I was in good hands. If I could give more stars I would:) I will def be using them again soon, and asking for these funny 4! read more
