I went to the one on cermak! Fire ! Such an unexpected surprise on a Friday night dinner. Lively atmosphere- simple food ingredients- but fresh, and flavors play off each other ! The presentation is sleek- and sophisticated. So pleasantly surprised. Definitely will return

The café de olla here is my favorite. Today however I got the classic cheeseburger. I loved the fries. The service was fast. We arrived around 2 pm and got seated promptly. The music they were playing made the ambiance feel authentic.

    Cafe De Olla

Best cafe de olla I've ever had! Food was delicious, and the atmosphere here was great. Brenda, our server, was very attentive and friendly. Our chilaquiles were very tasty, had a kick but not too spicy. Everything was great!

BYOB it's Literally written on the Windows.

I hate to leave a Negative Review but i had too, As you can see the Outside window Says BYOB and we walked in and once we ordered Food our Server said we are No Longer BYOB even tho it's Literally on the Windows. So we couldn't drink the stuff we had with us. then we Searched the Website and IG and it said Buy a Burger and Get a Free Beer so we Did and the Waiter said no it's only for Happy Hour and i Showed him from Instagram Post and website it says All Day M-F and Him Feeling salty because either he got caught on a lie or just didn't know himself just Stayed Quiet and Said What Beer would you like so we got it. Third the Server we didn't get his Name but he did have a Tattoo on his Neck that's all Me and My Wife Remember, not only did he Showed that he was ok with lying to us but after he brought the beer he did not come back for anything else not even for water refills .. He had another Great Waitress take care of us and she was 100 times better... Food Was Great 8/10 Service and Advertising is Questionable 2/10

Okay so I went to the location in Berwyn and although I thought it was too expensive at least it was good. Today we came to celebrate my friends birthday and it was terrible service. We all ordered cafe de olla, (supposed to be warm) and it was cold. We kindly asked the waitress if we can get it warmed up since it was cold, and she touched the coffee and said no it feels warm. At that point we asked for a new coffee because GERMS!! She still seemed bothered by it, but did bring us new coffee ?? I orders the chilaquiles with bistec. The chilaquiles were lacking flavor, and the bistec was way too over done. The crepas were a good dessert. I will definitely not be coming back.

I love coming here with my mom! It's our go to spot for sure. And they always have the cutest decorations for holidays. Food is consistent and they have great customer service. A little on the pricey side but I will say I always have a positive experience here!

A señora took care of us. She was the most patient and sweet lady. This place is very small and don't have any music so it feels kinda awkward. The food is delicious a bit over priced to be located in that area.

Think service is slow after we are seated but then it gets better. Love the churro pancakes they are a must. If it wasn't for waiting 10-15 minutes to place a drink order I would of gave it 5 stars. Rather eat breakfast/brunch here than anywhere else in Chicago.

The menu is pretty big but I wanted to try something different so I ordered the arepa de carne. When it came out, the plate was huge. The arepa had that nice crunch on the outside, but inside the meat was crazy good, juicy, tender, and seasoned just right. Every bite kinda hit that perfect mix of texture. The place itself feels fun, colorful murals everywhere, kinda gives you energy as soon as you walk in. Staff was chill, friendly without being over the top, and the food came out quicker than I thought. I'd definitely come back just for that arepa, but now I'm curious about the rest of the menu. Feels like one of those spots where you can keep trying new things and not get bored.

The bread is incredibly soft and pillowy (even more so than a torta), and the meat fillings are so flavorful. My favorite was the steak cemita poblana. I also tried the Mini Bandeja Paisa, a Colombian lunch plate that was a little pricey ($20), but was hearty, filling, and allowed me to try a bit of everything-- plantain, egg, steak, pork, arepa, and rice. The service is very warm, friendly, and the food comes out quickly. The prices are good/reasonable for the portions too, though an extra surcharge is placed on card transactions.

And they had a really delicious chicken with beans taco sample for each of us. It was actually the best part of the meal. I ordered three tacos, two Al pastor and one carne asada. All three were delicious. And the side of rice and beans was really good too, the rice was a little crispy and I was really loving that. I also ordered an horchata, and it was delightful. My friends ordered steak fajitas, it was such a large serving. Lots of tortillas, guacamole, rice and beans included. I got to try the fajitas and it was very very good. The restaurant is so festive and decorated well. Was such a lively spot. The restaurant is very big, lots of tables but I suppose on the weekends this place may be packed. I went on a Monday and maybe 1/3 of the restaurant was full. At the end of the meal they give a dessert that was like a rice pudding with cinnamon on top. Was tasty.

I ordered the birria chilaquiles which were just ok, the meat was a bit on the bland side, which is the opposite of what a good birria should be. When I asked our waitress if I could have cheese on mine (as it doesn't come with cheese or eggs for that matter) she said that they couldn't make that adjustment because they were too busy & the kitchen didn't like to have any changes to a plate (REALLY???? they know 365 beforehand that Mother's Day will be busy, so they should be prepared for the high volume of customers) I didn't insist and added eggs to my order (be prepared to pay $4.00 extra for two eggs). What I found funny was my beans came with cheese...really, they couldn't have just tossed some over my chilaquiles!‍. My sister liked her poblano chilaquiles, which were good and mom had mole enchiladas, which she enjoyed. But the overall star of the meal were the strawberry pancakes we got for dessert! They were absolutely delicious! They came with fresh strawberries, whipped cream and a side of strawberry sauce (more of a coulis sauce) that tasted homemade. We didn't even ask for syrup, that's how good they were (reminded us of true Mexican pancakes...IYKYK). In spite of the businesses of the day, our waitress was attentive and nice. I'll go back, but will try something else and definitely get the pancakes for dessert! Another note to be aware of, they don't have a waiting area, so if someone in your party can't stand for long periods, like my mom, take that into consideration before going on a busy day (like Mother's Day). When we did ask, the guy taking down the reservations said "you can wait in the car" with a bit of nastiness and smirk...unnecessary attitude. He might have not meant it that way since they do text when your reservation is ready, but he needs to work on sounding like an a-hole and could have said "I'm soo sorry we do not, but please feel free to wait in your car since we will text when your reservation is ready" in a compassionate tone, or something to that extent. La Catedral management, please work on that!
