One of my favorite Mexican seafood spots in the city! I drive all the way from the north side to archer heights just to eat their red snapper with the Nayarit sauce great service and the owner/manager is always nice and attentive. This place doesn't stay open late so make sure you make in with time or else they won't be able to serve you. read more

However in the past orders they have been receiving very little side salsas (2 little ones) have in mind this charola loca is over $120 Yesterday I decided to place my first order I live in the south suburbs so since it's a family favorite I placed it and made sure to let the person on the phone know that lately there's been very little salsas for the amount of money and quantity... she even charged me extra to make it's saucier.... When finally getting home and opening not only did my family say they didn't fill up the charola , it wasn't saucy and they again only gave two small habanero salsas(little as in taco salsas little). After a couple times of trying to dine in here, we finally decided to wait the 45 minute wait. It was definitely worth the wait. They start you off with a mini ceviche tostada made out of tuna, along with two very spicy salsas. It is also BYOB, but they limit you to only 3 beers a person during the weekend. I ordered their large Michelada mix for $8, and they bring out a huge pitcher filled to the top. Definitely worth the price. I also ordered a 1/2 dozen order of oysters. Great price at $1 each. They taste so delicious with Lime, salt and Cholula sauce. My go to entree is their Pina Rellena. Some places go all out with these, and other places serve some disappointing pinas. Here they served a phenomenal Pina Rellena with a side of garlic bread and rice. As for the Pina Rellena, it was stuffed with shrimp, pineapple, peppers, and octopus all sautéed in their delicious spicy cream sauce. Overall I left very full and very satisfied with their food and their customer service. Even though their wait time was extremely long, the guy was on top of everything, and gave us a call as soon as our table was available. It took a while for our order to be placed, but once our order was in, our table was never empty. I will definitely be returning. read more

These are phenomenal and the most delicious piña rellena I've had. The piña is filled with a creamy sauce, pineapple, shrimp, crab meat, calamari, among other seafood I can't remember at the moment. The dish comes with buttered, garlic bread, and white rice. It is enough for two people to share. We also got the tuna ceviche, and that was also delicious. A would say that they don't give enough salsas or tostadas, so ask for extra if you want more than three tostadas. I would recommend if you're in the mood for a sweet and savory piñas. read more

We've tried almost every item on the menu and they're all great. Fried stuff, cocktails, michealadas, grilled stuff. Nothing disappoints. Great place to go on a hot summer day. The grilled pulpo (octopus) tostada has some of the greatest and mysterious seasoning I've ever tasted. I definitely recommend coming on a hot day. Coffee is tasty but on weak side but free refills make up for that. You really can't go wrong here. Update: Last visit the place was understaffed badly..30 minutes and we didn't even have drinks. First time coming here, Mother's Day. It is an open area, family friendly. We were greeted immediately by staff and sat in less then three minutes. Clean, well staffed, okay food. The service is fair - cannot expect to be waited on hand & foot when this place is always packed 3. We love the food here but....... this is my 3rd time at the new location and they really need to get their act together. We walked in with a wine bottle and the sever said we couldn't bring a glass bottle so I walked back to the car and put it in a plastic bottle I brought it back on and she said we couldn't bring outside drinks in IT'S BYOB! I was with my family 3 adults and 2 children we aren't planning on getting drunk at our favorite seafood place. 2nd issue our server was so bad! My 10 year old brother said " Great quality food, terrible service!". I asked for a michelada cup she brought me a pitcher, I let it pass. We asked for a cup she asked if plastic or glass we said plastic.. she brings a glass we ask for a plastic again with ice she brings a glass with ice. These negative reviews are completely misguided. They've always had a no bottle policy, and the service is as good as you can rightfully expect from a place this busy. Aside from that, the food is amazing. If you've eaten at the old location, I assure you the quality is exactly the same. The pulpo and shrimp al ajillo are my favorites.
