So I totally thought I was over exaggerating how much my toes were hurting after this pedicure, but after a few days I still have multiple cuts on my toes. The hot stone massage was great, but other than that it was a typical pedicure, one where they file your skin as well as your toe nails I guess. The foot massage itself didn't even last a whole minute. I asked multiple people the difference between pedicures and they couldn't tell me- only a price difference that I could see on the sign in front of my face. This was a nice surprise to find such a great nail place while we were visiting Tampa. Not only did they do a great job, but the place was clean, uncluttered, had tons of polish to choose from, offered all services and both my mani and pedi were done just the way I like them. I have acrylic fill ins and was very pleased. In addition, Peter is great. He was friendly, funny and welcoming. As I was in a hurry, he accommodated me by doing my nails (a gel fill in with lots of drill filing) while I had my pedicure. Both were done professionally. Called ahead to get an appointment, gal I spoke to on the phone told me to come right over. I did. I have absolutely no idea who anyone was. Not one person introduced themselves to me. Given a glass of wine (nice touch!) Asked for a gel manicure and a regular polish for the pedicure. Very happy with the pedicure. She did an outstanding job! (Hence the 3 stars) The manicure, not so much. The guy asked me if I had ever done the powder, I had not. Said it's better for your nails, another customer chimed in and said how much she enjoyed the powder vs gel. Had been wanting to try it, so I figured what the heck, right? I told him how I liked my nails shaped, square round, "ok, ok", not long but not uber short, "ok, ok. Having zero experience with the powder stuff, I chose my color and a sparkle to go on top (I do this with gel all the time). I asked if that would work, "sure, sure". Off we go! I'm trying to enjoy the pedicure, but my hands keep getting yanked around. Pulling my right hand to the left to work on it. I'm watching him layer the powder on, not confident at all in how it looks. He keeps telling me wait till the end, wait till the end. Pedicure completed. I am moved over to the table to finish the manicure. At this point, my nails look AWFUL! The stuff is so thick! I said so! He laughs and tells me to wait till the end, they'll be so shiny. I figure he'll finish shaping them etc.. Well, yes, they are shiny. That is the only good thing I have to say. The sparkle on the top was a HUGE mistake. Here's my gripe on that...this person is a supposed professional, with experience. He should have known it wouldn't look good, and told me that! The tops of my nails look like I ran them through a table saw, cut straight across. There are lumps of the powder that weren't smoothed out before the final polish. I told him, I guess I wouldn't be doing it like that again, his reply, "yup". It was an extremely expensive lesson to learn. I will not be returning to this place. read more

I talked my husband into joining me for a pedi . No polish for him but my toes look great. We got the #5 pedi with hot stone massage. Honestly I would pay to just have that massage on my feet and legs. My husband didn't think the stones were hot enough but he has a high threshold of pain... I thought they were perfect. I was so impressed by this place. This isn't your average local nail shop. As a licensed nail technician myself I always worry about cleanliness. A place can appear to be clean but in reality it won't be. Here they sterilize their tools in an autoclave! The pedicure bowls are lined with a plastic liner. And they take their time! It's not a quick service, in and out type of place. My pedicure was thorough and my toes look the best they ever have. Also, the staff is very kind and hospitable unlike those other nail shops where the staff can be cold and almost ignore you and your needs. This was my 3rd visit and Rosie was back and did a fantastic job for my pedicure - just as good as my first visit. I tried the new deluxe pedicure that they were pushing and personally, I would save the $5 dollars and do the old deluxe they offer. I'm giving this 3 stars this time for two big reasons - I don't like people being pushy. Don't get me wrong, I probably would have tried this bc it was new but don't push everyone into it even AFTER they say no. Also I I told the technician no electric filer to remove the previous polish because I hate the feel of it and it I like to keep my natural nails as strong as possible and she insisted to use to make it go faster and she nicked my finger with it! Walked in only to be asked, "how can [they] help?" and when I respond "nails, please" be yelled something inaudible. I didn't fully understand, so, I asked "excuse me, undue nails? No, I need polish change". The man yelled at me in front of everyone that they can't help me because they are backed up. Very unprofessional and extremely rude. Started going to this place because of the reviews. The first two times I went, I had Mimi do my nails. She is amazing. However, I don't know what happened the third time I went there. I did not have Mimi to assist me this time. I had a different woman. I asked for a French nail and it looked horribly. The white tip had too many coats on it and some of the white polish spread into the nail. I told Peter(the owner) I wanted to have this botched up nail job removed and have a new color instead. He had me soak my nails in acetone. It dried out my fingers. Peter assisted me from there on, even though I asked for Mimi. He then rushes through my nails, didn't properly take all the previous polish off and did a very messy job painting my nails. It was also thick and he went out of bounds on my finger. He then says the polish needs to be removed again because it's messy. I am now frustrated. I asked for a partial refund for the inconvenience and I wanted Mimi. I got there at 6:20. It was now 8:42. He said no and Mimi will come. He put my fingers in acetone, exposing my nails into harsh chemicals...again. I finally get Mimi. She notices my nails are now uneven and have lumps in the middle. They shaved and filed my nails so many times, that they destroyed my nails shape. I was now angry and demanded a refund. Peter refunds me, but kept insisting I should come back. I don't ever want that place to touch my nails again. I am so disappointed because I did like it there, but they just destroyed my nails. They are so hard and brittle now. I did not leave till 9:15 pm. I came in there to get beautiful nails. Instead I leave with Sasquatch hands. This incident just proves that good ratings aren't always 100% reliable. read more

I live in Tampa but had a child's football game in Valrico so I stopped by here. I ended up upgrading form the regular pedicure to the Deluxe Organic Combo. What a mistake. The pedicurist informed me that my upgrade $$ 15.00 would come with an extended massage. The overall pedicure was $35.00 and it lasted approximately 35 min and the massage itself was 5 min total. I was very disappointed with the experience. Ladies save your money and get the basic pedicure. read more

I went this salon solely based on the "excellent" reviews, and I was completely disappointed. I am not a fan of how close the tables are, so everyone can hear your conversation. They did not have an updated OPI gel polish selection. The girl who did my manicure did not use any cuticle lotion on my nails. I like my nails super short because they grow hella fast, and she said to me, "short nails aren't good for the heart." Girl bye! That's the most inaccurate statement I've ever heard. This is easily one of the best pedicure experiences I have had in my life. They suggested I get the 40$ heel treatment pedicure and it is worth the price. My feet haven't been this soft and smooth in years. Additionally the staff is friendly and attentive . They give free drinks with a wide variety of wine's. The basic pedicure was only $25, the massage chairs are wonderful, and the woman who did my toes tended to everything. They aren't afraid to throughly clean under and around your toes which is great compared to most places.
