After going to some other nail salons in my area after the cutting incident. I ended up back here at Aria. The tech who cut me is now at another salon about 2 mins from Aria. I happened to see her when I was trying out new salons. I will say that I haven't been to another salon, in this area, that gave me the OVERALL satisfaction that Aria has, so I decided to try them again. I got a new set and pedicure. It was just as good as they normally are. The new set came out great. Though I won't forget the response that I received from them after the previous incident, I am happy enough here to keep coming back for now. While the place is nicely decorated and looks upscale at first, it's not well maintained. There were water stains on the ceiling, and the seat I was given had noticeable marks and stains, which made me feel uncomfortable. When I arrived, I didn't have to wait long, which was a plus, but the manager barely paid any attention to me. Fortunately, Pepi was my nail technician, and she did a very good job with my acrylics. She was careful with my hands and offered me something to drink, which I really appreciated. However, to be honest, I've been to other places where I get more attention to detail for the same price, including cuticle cleaning and the option to get intricate nail designs without extra charges. So I'm usual nail tech was out on maternity leave and I'm also new to the area. I needed my nails done for vacation so decided to try this place out. The first person who did my nails Justin - he did amazing. The only thing is the color I chose was not was the final result on my nails. It was the sheer nail polish so you had to put 3 coats but he did and it didn't come out quite right. So I told him I would be back to change it because I wasn't happy and I needed to go get my kids. So I come back a day later. And Justin was busy so this other lady did my nails. Start off when she took off the polish and rebuffed my nails the nail felt lumpy. She then starts painting my nails and she did the deep French. She did a decent job, nothing impressive. She said all nail techs hate doing deep French because it takes so much precision. I'm like okay- and in my head my nail tech could probably do it with her eyes closed and nails it every time. Anyways I go to pay- I thought maybe 10.00 , no it was 38 extra dollars. When you order the basic pedicure which is $32 (crazy), I feel like the techs automatically treat you like crap and rush through the process. I barely had my feet in the water 60 seconds and when I tried to put my other foot in the water she told me no! For me, if you do a good job, I will definitely tip you well. My nails look basic. There wasn't enough attention to detail for me. Moreover, I had to request for the tech to paint closer to my cuticles. With the amount of space that was left between, my nails will look months old by next week. I was never asked about my preferred nail shape. The tech messed up the paint on my toes. I told her I could not wait because I need to return to work. The tech blew her breath on my toes! That is unsanitary! This time I had a Latina and she was very lovely and did my nails exactly how I like them, when I told her what I wanted she executed it. The first few month I got my nails done here they were done well. I went to this salon for about a year and I finally decided after my pedicure a few weeks ago that I was done giving them chances to do a good job on my nails. My pedicure was a mess. The polish wasn't even and you could tell it was thicker in certain areas. The dead skin around my toenails was not removed, you couldn't even tell a pedicure had been done. Time after time I was displeased with my nails. I never got anything crazy just a acrylic fill and gel polish. Basically every time I left there was something wrong with my nails. One woman always did the acrylic very thick even though I told her every time I wanted it to be thin and look natural, she still did what she wanted. Other techs would have my nails all different shapes or they'd be a nail or two that was filed crooked, they never even checked to make sure they all looked uniformed. Just sloppy work, it's really disappointing honestly. The salon itself it beautiful and there's maybe 3 people there that know what they're doing. By far one of the worst experiences I have had getting my nails and eyebrows done. I selected this place off the rating on yelp but it was no where near an ideal experience. First I got my eyebrows waxed and when I looked into the mirror- part of my eyebrow had been tweezed off and when I asked the lady what happened she just said "you can use a pencil". For me, I do not wear much makeup and definitely do not fill in my eyebrows so now I have to fix what I paid for. In addition if you look at the pictures I posted, the eyebrows are not even close to similar. After getting my eyebrows waxed I also had a gel manicure. I left with nail polish on my skin and the skin around my nails all cut up. When asking if she could take the nail polish off my skin- she said couldn't because it had already been cured. Have been going there on and off for about a year but today I'm done. I called ahead to make sure my favorite nail tech was working, and she was, but when I showed up she had just taken another customer and would be about an hour. So I was handed off to another nail tech and was given one of the worst manicures I've ever I had. I normally wouldn't care so much, but I am recently engaged and with the holidays coming up I wanted nice nails when showing off my ring. So aside from the botched nail polish/polish on my skin, I was cut multiple times and have blood all over my skin as well. The worst part is she got all the nail polish brushes and the oil application IN MY BLOOD! After going to my car and realizing just how bad it was, I went back inside to hopefully have them clean it up a bit. I've never experienced the level of kindness, professionalism and service at any other nail salon. Aria Nail Bar is absolutely STUNNING, always clean and everyone is so friendly. 4 years ago, I liked gel polish and made my appointments with Kim. She did an amazing job, always listened to my style and shape and to this day is the ONLY person I let touch my eyebrows. I've had my fair share of regret with other salons ruining my brows, until I met Kim - I LOVE HER! Now, I get acrylic and make my appointments with Bao (sometimes Myanna, sorry if I spelled it wrong! She sits directly next to Bao) and any idea I have, they make it happen. I like my nails coffin shape and sharp and I never have to correct the way they shape my nails. They come out PERFECT every time! I've been visiting Bao for over 2 years and just adore him!!! Sipping on a glass of wine while I get pampered is also a plus. Yesterday my daughter and I was served by a really nice lady Ms. Lot. It was not my for time there but I had such a good experience I wanted to write about it. My daughter name is Aria so she already excited about this place. She is 5 years old so it takes a good amount of patience to paint a toddlers nails with all the questions and movements & and Lot had all the patience, I love it. She did a great job with my baby and gave us water. She also did a great job on my nails, I typically get the dip powder, and she took her time with each layer and every little detail. A great atmosphere and looks very professional. Upon entering we were greeted and they got us in right away (even without an appointment). Went with my daughter today and received a red French which is my signature go to look for my nails. I originally was going to get shellack but the tech talked me into getting the colored powder that you just dip. I've never had that done before so I wanted to try it. I overall like the look plus I wanted my nails short and rounded he did both. I found the tech to be very polite and did a nice job. I will probably do the powder dip again as it's suppose to last longer with no peeling. We also received a deluxe pedicure and for that I had my toe nail painted solid red. I treated myself to a basic pedicure at Aria and I'm glad I did. Someone noticed me immediately when I walked in and showed me to the nail colors, offering me a drink. I was able to sit down right away without a wait but there are many pedicure and manicure stations here so I don't think you'd ever had to wait very long. The interior is very nicely decorated and clean. My pedicure expert was pleasant, thorough, and efficient. She took her time with every step of the pedicure and I didn't feel like I was missing anything by going with the basic pedicure. My feet and toes looked great when she was done. This place is a bit more expensive than other places I have had pedicures, but so far I feel like it was worth the extra few bucks.
