D'Lites is my go to low carb ice cream place. They have different low carbs selection each day, which keeps the palette going. The staff here is very friendly. They prep my ice cream layered, with the toppings I want and still feel guiltless about it. Prices of the ice cream are very reasonable. Usually low carb desserts aren't cheap, but a medium 8oz ice cream serving with all my toppings comes to 5$ flat. A very affordable and healthy dessert fix. Who am I kidding .... I freaking love this place .... pretty sure I am the duchess and been here over ... well let's just say a lot. I've filled up one loyalty card and am working on my second. =) The flavors change every day but they always have chocolate and vanilla. When I go in I always try a new flavor, but usually stick with my go to which is a small chocolate. Here's the deal ... it's like guilt free. A small is 100 calories and totally satisfies my sweet tooth. It's low carb, low fat, low sugar, gluten free and has no artificial sweetener. This is a total win in my book! The owners are super nice. They also offer to go ice cream, which I have yet to purchase but have seriously thought about it. LOVE this place. My husband is on Keto so we've been trying to find dessert places that have little to no added sugar. We were a bit skeptical of how this would be, but it turned out to be amazing. You won't be missing your sugar here. But it's not as thick as regular ice cream. More on the soft serve side. I loved the cream cheese one and adding the sugar-free chocolate almonds on top was great. My husband liked the pistacchio. He's gone back 2 times since our first time last week. They have pints you can take home as well as other healthy alternatives (bars, bread, etc.). It is a smaller space so if you're coming with a large group, you'll struggle. I'm into low carb foods but I don't keep a strict low carb diet. Dlites does good low carb soft serve. They claimed it was only the lactose from the milk sweetening it, although I have my suspicions there is some kind of sweetener in the flavorings. Either way, it's quite tasty and smooth. Probably a lifesaver if you have a strict diet. There's only a few flavors, all chocolate or vanilla based, but the one I had was amazing (toasted coconut). read more

There are not enough stars in the world for D'Lites. I stumbled upon this establishment in April, just a few days post-op from VSG and really needing something with some substance that was still within my liquid restriction. And I've been going multiple times a week since. It was a jackpot find! The flavors & options are endless when it comes to the ice cream, and while it seems too good to be true, it's not. My boyfriend has been following a low-carb/keto diet since January, and consistently loses weight effortlessly each week despite indulging several times a week in D'Lites. We haven't tried many of the other products, but the ice cream alone keeps us coming back for more! read more

I want to give 5 stars but I can't. I love the ice cream - the taste and creaminess and texture is great. What a pleasure for low carb people to enjoy a treat that is so delicious. Almost too good to be true right? Well folks, it is too good to be true. This product is NOT low carb and I am not sure how they can claim to be low carb? Seems like false advertising at its worst. I realize this shop is using a pre-manufactured ice cream mix and is reporting what the company claims to be the nutritional information, but we all have been duped. I am classified as a type two diabetic and follow a low carb lifestyle (20-40 net carbs per day). My blood glucose readings never rise above 115-120 at the very highest one and two hours after eating. When I tested my blood glucose one hour after eating D'Lites it read 189 and continued to read 169 up to three hours later. With my careful adherence to low carb eating this never happens unless I actually ingest pure sugar! This is absolutely infuriating. Additionally, this shop sells other low carb products some of which are actually low carb but some that are not. The WiO bread and flour products are also not low carb and are another example of a false advertising scam. This bread company claims that your body magically does not digest the carbs in whole wheat flour because they have put "carb blockers" in the flour. We are not talking about fiber which is scientifically proven that your body does not digest and can be subtracted from the total carb count. They actually say they are carb blockers. There is absolutely no science behind this whatsoever. D'Lites is promoting and selling products that are supposed to be low carb when in fact it is a complete lie and is outright dangerous to people with health issues who should be able to trust a company to correctly report their nutrition information. read more

Three stars, but in a good way. The thing is, I get what these guys are doing, and it's great if that's what you want. I just didn't go nuts over the taste of their product. I really can't think of a reason to return, unless you wanted me to come with you. D'Lites is apparently a franchise and the Austin store is on William Cannon. Their specialties are soft serve ice creams (flavors are rotated daily), which are surprisingly low in calories, carbs, sugar, sodium, fat grams, and other evil things, while also being gluten-free and made without artificial sweeteners. My $2.98 Chocolate D'Lite was indeed light and airy and low in carbs and calories, but I also thought it was pretty low in taste and flavor categories as well. Of course that's subjective, and I'm sure lots of people will think it's great. Maybe it's about how you approach diet and nutrition: If my regimen required my frozen dessert concoctions to be restricted to a documented amount of whatever grams, then I'd probably be all over D'Lites and the other products they sell. But in my particular world of ice cream and calories, I'd rather savor one ounce of Amy's Belgian or Lick's Dark Chocolate with Olive Oil & Sea Salt, than twenty random ounces of D'Lites chocolate stuff. My analogy numbers may be off a bit, but you get the drift. Dr. Phil might say the benefit of D'Lites is helping us ordinary folk deal with our propensity for excess, and not knowing when to stop. And that's why Dr. Phil is on national TV and I sit around doing Yelp reviews. Different strokes for different folks. But regardless, consider visiting the D'Lites website for a free coupon and giving them a try - it may very well become your new favorite ice cream. It just isn't mine. read more

It's hard to find low calorie options when trying to slim down, and this fit the bill. I got a small cup which was 75 calories according to their nutrition facts posted. The yogurt itself is pretty good.. But I think I like another yogurt shop downtown just a tad bit better. I also like being able to control how much topping goes into the yogurt and the employees handle it here. Also, It kinda has a funny after taste, but not enough to keep me from coming back. But! Finally a delicious & guilt free dessert! A friend of mine had recommended this place, and I was just waiting for the perfect time to stop in. After stuffing my face with delicious sushi next door to D'Lites I decided to stop in and grab some dessert to go. I can't decide if I'm so glad that I did or if I am now I'm nervous that I may stop here every single day! They have only been open for one month(Today!) and so I'm sure there are still a few kinks to work out, but the customer service could not have been better! They were so friendly and helpful in explaining the backstory behind D'Lites and the nutrition of the ice cream. The ice cream tasted amazing, and the customer service was fantastic. The only thing I would recommend, is that it would be nice if they rearranged the inside of the store(shelves, etc) which would leave more room for inside seating. :) This place really is fantastic and trust me, I'll be back! read more

This place is great! They have a lot of wonderful flavors that they cycle between, and they're always very friendly. As someone who's on a keto diet, finding a place with great low carb ice cream has really helped make life easier. My favorite flavor of theirs is Dark Chocolate Espresso. They also sell some other low carb versions of items that are usually fairly carby too, like low carb bread, bagels, pizza crusts, cookies, etc... WARNING! So surprised at all these positive reviews. A (diabetic!) friend raved to me about this place. Having been keto for almost a year I knew I had to check it out. I had an ice cream while I was there (yummy with a slight aftertaste) and bought a bag of wio rolls, wio bread, and Sami's cinnamon bagels (not cheap!!) after asking the cashier which were the most popular and best tasting. They all purport to have 5 or fewer carbs per serving. After taking a bite of the roll I had my doubts--it does indeed taste just like a regular dinner roll. I was right. An hour later I was out of ketosis. Same w the bagels. Now I have $30 of not-keto-friendly bread in my freezer. I warned my diabetic friend. Look out. This our fav ice cream stop hands down! We seriously do not go anywhere else since our friend told us about this place. We started a diet a few months ago and could not believe that these treats were so low calorie and barely have any carbs. We are obsessed with the "take home" quarts of ice cream!!! I had the chocolate ice cream. At first I was convinced this is a real low carb ice cream. After trying again, it frankly doesn't add up. Its extremely sweet, but doesn't use any sweeteners, and just has 2g presumably from milk lactose. Is there any independent confirmation of the nutrition claims? Finally found the perfect place for low carb/keto friendly treats! Went in and got some sugar free goodies like marinara, and honey bbq. As well as some delicious almond joy ice cream (it tastes AMAZING). The ice cream was 2g net carbs per serving as chocolate base and vanilla base is 4g I believe. We also got some tortillas for dinner tonight which tasted amazing as well! Great selection of condiments, breads, and ice cream and very friendly staff! I frequent D'Lites approx 6 times a month. I really enjoy the ice cream. One of the items that I have seen decrease in is the cleanliness of the staff. Today, a girl was making ice cream sandwich cookies, with unloved hands, took my order on the pad, collected my money, and contiued to make the ice cream sandwiches without washing her hands. 3 additional customers came in, she serviced them and continued making the ice cream sandwiches without washing her hands! Not sure if she knows how dirty money is but that is gross!! I hope this does not happen when the owner is around! read more
