I am a HUGE ice cream fan so there is nothing better than an affordable, delicious, healthy (?) soft serve shop that consistently hits the spot. This place is fantastic -- they have the best flavors (although their classic vanilla is my favorite) and so many fun toppings. They also have pints to take home and do a great BOGO deal on Sundays. Kicking myself that I've never been here sooner, but finally had an opportunity to go this evening. First of all, this is a keto person's heaven. Not only are all the ice cream flavors super low carb, but they gave great low carb grocery items as well. I had the chocolate soft serve and it was absolutely delicious and 3 carbs for a small. I realize how unsustainable this is, so I am so, so, so happy I finally came to D'Lites! I wish it was closer to central Austin because it is quite a drive for me. Their frozen yogurt/ice cream is so delicious, and the texture is even better. I love how they have pints and small containers of their flavors to buy. I bought cinnamon toast crunch and mango, and both were phenomenal. I also tried vanilla and banana pudding in-store, and everything was so good. I love that these are healthy options to frozen yogurt because I snack on these as my daily treat as opposed to much more high-calorie options. The first time I went into D'Lites, I expected some tasteless pap. I mean healthy soft "ice cream", sort of an oxymoron, right? I've had a sugar addiction most of my life so I wasn't expecting much here. I was very pleasantly surprised. Not only do you not miss the extra sugar, I've never had a flavor that wasn't great. My Wife is very health conscious and often brings home frozen portions to eat later. The real test is the grandkids. The 14 year old has no idea that this place is healthier than usual. It definitely makes me want to go back especially since it's a bit healthier than regular fro yo or ice cream. *My only reason for docking a star is because health conscious food stores are also typically earth health conscious and the styrofoam cups for the fro yo are one of the worst things for the planet* If they opted for paper cups I'd be back way more frequently! I dont even know where to start here but suffice to say if I could give D'Lites 6 stars I would. The Ice Cream tastes amazing and doesn't make you fat and that's a pretty rad combination. My favorite here is Chocolate with Pecans, I really like how the pecans are ground up almost into a pecan dust. The Ice Cream cakes here are also amazing. hate to write this review as the ice cream here is wonderful, but my interaction with a staff member the other day was beyond unacceptable. I dont go here often but every now and then I will come in for a treat, this time a girl I had never seen before was here and she gave me the rudest service. besides the fact that she was just plain rude to me, when she served my ice cream she filled it not even halfway and carelessly threw my topping on. when I expressed my concern for what she gave me, she told me "it is my job to serve you this amount of icecream" in a rude tone might I add, then proceeded to give my friend even less ice cream. what really bothered me was when I saw her go on break while I was sat down by the window, I saw her make herself a large, filled to the brim cup of ice cream for herself. asked her coworker, name was harper. please hire better workers. read more

Not as enamored as our last experience. This is a belated review from last weekend when we decided to pop in here for dessert since we were already South-ish. The youngins working were space cadets that managed to forget the order that you just gave them--as well as the toppings. One flavor that we got--the birthday cake--just tasted weird after a couple bites, with our daughter complaining that "it doesn't taste sweet." Seemed more chemically than usual. Brownie peanut butter was OK and the chocolate-banana was at least reminiscent of its purported flavors. The space is kind of an odd Keto supermarket with the ice cream area thrown in as an afterthought. Nothing was very creamy--not sure if we'd be back again necessarily. The prices are fair and are about what you would expect for a specialty place such as this. Every day they have different specials such as buy 2 take-homes (prepackaged ice cream) get 1 free or free toppings. The flavors also rotate and you can check on their website what flavors are featured for a certain day. D'Lites offers a lot of different flavors and for anyone on keto or a low-carb or low sugar lifestyle, they're actually quite delicious. In addition, they sell quite a few low-carb and keto-friendly products for their customers such as pasta from ThinSlim foods, burger buns from Smart Bun, and biscuit mix by Carbquick (similar to Bisquick brand). I have found heaven on earth!!! This place is MUCH more than an Ice cream shop! This place has everything I want and need for Keto or low carb eating!!! There are the usual protein bars but some that actually taste really good, like the Built bars, protein powders and no sugar flavored syrups. But the greatness is in everything else. High protein chips, low carb baking mix, low carb pasta, low carb tortillas, bread, hamburger buns, pizza crust.... so much I can't remember it all! There all kinds of low carb sweets like donuts and cookies!! The big star of the shop is the soft serve Ice cream though. I never would have known it wasn't everyday soft serve Ice cream. It is absolutely DELICIOUS!!! The chocolate has only 2gm of carbs in 1/2 cup! There are dozens and dozens of flavors for take home made fresh in store. There are 4 machines that serve different flavors that rotate daily and the machines that serve chocolate and vanilla all the time. They also have MANY low carb toppings and low carb hot fudge! They make shakes too! And everything I have tried has been good to amazing! One of the girls at the counter, Ashley, can answer any and all of your questions. She is very knowledgeable, helpful and sweet. And patient! But they are all friendly and helpful. The place is cute. There are several tables set up and I believe there are game cards on each one to enjoy. They also have a little space with toys for kids. The owner, Brian, is very friendly as well.
